"Shihō Kimizuki's Troubles"

Aoki swiftly dispatched all the shikigami puppets, leaving Sayuri Hanayori unsure how to score the exercise. It was a teamwork assessment, and Yoichi Saotome hadn't even lifted a finger, making scoring difficult.

But Aoki had defeated all the puppets, so ignoring it wouldn't be fair.

"What the hell was that?!" Yūichirō Hyakuya and Shihō Kimizuki, having picked themselves up from the ground, watched Aoki's feat with disbelief.

A man in a military uniform approached Sayuri Hanayori.

"Excuse me for interrupting the training." After apologizing, he briefed Sayuri Hanayori.

Sayuri Hanayori immediately halted the training and used the loudspeaker. "Kimizuki, please go to the hospital immediately. Your sister, Mirai, her condition has suddenly worsened."

"Your sister?" Yūichirō Hyakuya looked at Shihō Kimizuki, confused.

Shihō Kimizuki dismissed the topic, his voice low. "It's noisy. Shut up."

After a moment of internal struggle, Shihō Kimizuki called out to Sayuri Hanayori. "Excuse me, please continue the training. Don't mind me."

"Hey, wait a minute." Yūichirō Hyakuya placed a hand on Shihō Kimizuki's shoulder, disgusted by his decision. "This isn't the time. Your sister is in danger."

"Didn't I tell you to shut up?" Shihō Kimizuki shrugged off Yūichirō Hyakuya's hand. "I need a good score here. I've worked hard to get this far. Even ignoring my sister…"

Before he could finish, Aoki, supporting Yoichi Saotome, punched him in the face.

Shihō Kimizuki fell, pulling Yūichirō Hyakuya down with him due to the chain linking their wrists.

"Hey! What the hell are you saying? This training is more important than your sister's life?!" Aoki glared at Shihō Kimizuki, his opinion of him plummeting.

Rubbing his face, Shihō Kimizuki said, "You don't understand! Why do you think I'm training so hard? So my sister can receive the best medical care! If I join the Moon Demon Company and prove myself, she can access medical technology unavailable to civilians. That's how she'll be saved."

"Not this hesitation. The only result will be her death."

Aoki: "I don't care. You're going to the hospital. If that prevents you from accessing advanced medical care, I'll use my influence to get your sister the treatment. You saw my strength; reaching Guren Ichinose's level isn't difficult for me."

"Don't ask why I'm helping. We're comrades; helping each other is natural."

Shihō Kimizuki was stunned. The word "comrades" resonated with him. He'd lacked comrades since arriving here.

Hearing those words from Aoki, a lock in his heart seemed to unlock.

"I'll go with you." Aoki produced a Flying Raijin kunai, severing the chain linking Yoichi Saotome's wrist.

In the hospital room, the heart monitor beeped rhythmically. Aoki, Yūichirō Hyakuya, and Shihō Kimizuki stood by the bed where a red-haired girl lay unconscious, her fate uncertain.

"Kimizuki-san, she's out of immediate danger, but civilian medical equipment is insufficient to combat this virus…" the doctor said, trailing off.

"I know," Shihō Kimizuki replied, unsurprised. His sister had been hospitalized for a long time with no improvement due to insufficient equipment. "But I'm close to joining the Moon Demon Company.

Then she can receive military treatment. Please give me more time."

Aoki, looking at the unconscious girl, thought of Shinobu Kocho and the others. Since arriving in this world, he'd been alone, but he didn't like it. He craved companionship.

Some time later…

At the Japanese Imperial Demon Army's headquarters, Guren Ichinose, a Lieutenant Colonel and heir to the Ichinose family, emerged from a meeting, his troubled expression indicating it hadn't gone well.

"Damn it, that was boring," Guren Ichinose muttered, rubbing his temples.

"Finally found you, you idiot Guren!" Yūichirō Hyakuya shouted, attempting a flying kick to Guren Ichinose's face, only to have his leg grabbed.

"Haha, you're still so predictable. After that boring political squabble, you're actually kind of amusing," Guren Ichinose said, pulling Yūichirō Hyakuya backward until he fell.

"Not funny," Yūichirō Hyakuya said. "What's with disappearing for ten days without giving me Cursed Gear?"

Guren Ichinose: "You really want revenge on the vampires, huh?"

Yūichirō Hyakuya: "Of course. That's why I'm alive."

Guren Ichinose thought, I can't let him stay here too long.

The Hīragi family will notice. "Just that, huh? Then I'll let you make a pact with a demon, send you to the front lines to kill vampires.

No need for training.

But if you die, that's on you."

Yūichirō Hyakuya's face lit up. "Really? No problem! I've been waiting for this!"

"Haha, you're such an idiot," Guren Ichinose said. "Oh, Yūichirō."

Guren Ichinose kicked Yūichirō Hyakuya in the head. "Don't try to kick your superior officer!"

Yūichirō Hyakuya stumbled and fell.

"Dealing with idiots is tiring, but things are getting interesting," Guren Ichinose mused.
