Yūichirō Hyakuya's gaze locked onto Ferid Bathory, his expression turning ferocious.
He recognized Ferid Bathory as the vampire who had killed his family.
Fueled by rage, Yūichirō Hyakuya was about to attack Ferid Bathory when Aoki stopped him.
"Don't go. He'll kill you instantly," Aoki said calmly.
Yūichirō Hyakuya shrugged off Aoki's restraint, his anger evident.
"That guy… that guy killed my family! I have to kill him!"
"You can't."
"How do you know I can't?!"
"Because he's far stronger than Guren Ichinose, and Guren Ichinose is far stronger than you."
Yūichirō Hyakuya calmed down slightly. "So what? I still have to kill him."
Aoki placed a hand on his shoulder. "You can't do it now. When you're strong enough, you can avenge your family. For now, talk to your remaining family member."
Just as Aoki thought things were going smoothly, a voice shattered his plan.
"Seventh progenitor, we've been summoned."
Crowley Eusford, the thirteenth progenitor vampire Aoki's squad had encountered outside Shinjuku, appeared with Chess Belle and Horn Skuld.
"Ah, Crowley. I've been waiting for you," Ferid Bathory said.
Yūichirō Hyakuya and the others' expressions hardened. They recognized Crowley Eusford. He could kill them all in seconds, though Aoki might be different.
"You're a little late." Find something interesting?
But with you here, the game is over. Let's turn them into livestock. Remember, capture, don't kill.
"Turning the Vampire Extermination Unit into livestock… not a bad idea," Ferid Bathory said.
"Damn it, more nobles. This is hopeless," Guren Ichinose realized they had no chance of winning and ordered a retreat. "Everyone, retreat!"
Aoki intervened. "No! We're not retreating. Yūichirō needs to talk to his family. If we retreat now, we'll miss that."
"What do you suggest? There are seven vampire nobles here (including Mikaela)! We have no chance! Let's save as many as we can!" Guren Ichinose yelled. "Everyone, retreat!"
Ignoring Guren Ichinose's order, Aoki stepped forward. "Who says we have no chance?"
He pointed at Ferid Bathory, Crowley Eusford, Chess Belle, and Horn Skuld. "I'll handle these four nobles. Yūichirō can deal with his family member. You handle the other two nobles. Simple."
"Are you kidding me?! Those are vampire nobles! That silver-haired vampire is incredibly powerful! You can't possibly defeat four of them simultaneously!" Guren Ichinose knew Aoki was stronger than him, but taking on four vampire nobles at once was reckless, at least in Guren Ichinose's opinion.
Aoki looked at Guren Ichinose. "Guren, you think that silver-haired vampire is strong because you can't beat him. But even if all four attack me at once, they can't defeat me."
His eyes transformed into a three-tomoe Sharingan, then rotated, blossoming into an unopened lotus flower. Then, it fully bloomed.
The third stage of Susanoo materialized around him, towering over the battlefield.
"Oh, it's that guy," Crowley Eusford recognized Aoki.
"Huh? Crowley, you know him?" Ferid Bathory asked.
Crowley Eusford replied, "Yeah, that human's strong. He cut off one of my arms. It's healed now," demonstrating the regenerated limb.
Ferid Bathory chuckled, intrigued. "Then let's capture him and turn him into a vampire. He wants to fight four of us? Let's do it."
The four actually attacked Aoki simultaneously.
Their attacks struck Susanoo, but it remained completely unmoved.
"Is that all you've got? Disappointing," Aoki said, drawing his sword.
"Clang!"
In an instant, Aoki appeared before Chess Belle, who was completely unprepared.
Just as Aoki was about to strike the killing blow, Crowley Eusford intervened, blocking the attack.
"Close call. You're strong," Crowley Eusford said, managing a nonchalant expression despite clearly struggling to withstand Aoki's attack.
"Haha, you should've stayed in your shell," Ferid Bathory suddenly appeared behind Aoki, but as he swung his sword, Aoki vanished.
Aoki habitually left a Flying Raijin kunai behind or marked his opponents with the technique, allowing him to attack freely.
Of course, if his opponents knew his abilities, they'd be more cautious.
Susanoo's massive arm swung, striking Ferid Bathory and Crowley Eusford, sending them flying, though they managed to regain their balance.
"He's incredibly strong. This is troublesome," Ferid Bathory said, his usual smile fading into a serious expression.
Seeing Aoki single-handedly suppressing four vampire nobles, Guren Ichinose was speechless.
"Hurry! Shinoa! You and Sayuri Hanayori take on the other two nobles! Take advantage of Aoki's ability to suppress the other four!"
The situation had changed. Aoki had overwhelming strength; they no longer needed to retreat.
If they were lucky enough to kill a noble, the sacrifice of the other soldiers would be worth it.
