"A Show of Force"

"Therefore, I won't switch sides, and there's no need to. Switching wouldn't offer any significant advantages or disadvantages; it would only bring unnecessary trouble."

Aoki's statement, though indirect, clearly indicated his refusal to join the Hīragi family, choosing to remain under Guren Ichinose.

Yūichirō Hyakuya then spoke, "I see. How boring. I have no interest in human squabbles. I will never betray or abandon my comrades again."

They reached their destination. Since Guren Ichinose wasn't summoned, he didn't enter.

As they reached the elevator, the doors suddenly opened, revealing Mitsuba Sangū, a member of Aoki's squad. She had also been summoned, though simply for a reward ceremony.

"Huh, you were summoned too?" Yūichirō Hyakuya asked, surprised.

Mitsuba Sangū looked dejected. Ignoring them, she walked past them to leave.

"How did it go?"

Only when Yūichirō Hyakuya asked again did she reply, "Nothing special. Just a routine meeting. I received a promotion for my contributions in repelling the vampires."

Yūichirō Hyakuya said, "Ah, a promotion. That's good, right?"

"Of course. I earned it," Mitsuba Sangū said proudly, clutching her chest.

"Oh, really? We'll go then," Yūichirō Hyakuya replied.

Seeing Yūichirō Hyakuya and Aoki enter the elevator without further interaction, Mitsuba Sangū became upset.

"Hey, I expected at least a little teasing! You know, I was completely useless on the battlefield. I boasted so much, but I'm so weak. Yet, I'm probably the only one getting promoted because I come from the prestigious Sangū family.

Mitsuba Sangū started to sob.

Seeing Mitsuba Sangū's distress, Yūichirō Hyakuya stepped out of the elevator to comfort her, while Aoki proceeded to the upper floor alone.

Upstairs, Aoki walked down a long, dimly lit corridor. He opened a door at the end and entered a dark, somber room.

After surveying the room, the door behind him slammed shut.

A single chandelier illuminated the center of the room, where a vampire knelt.

Aoki's expression remained unchanged.

The vampire looked up at Aoki, seemingly starved for blood, lunging at him like a hungry wolf.

Aoki calmly raised his hand, seizing the vampire's neck and lifting him into the air.

Then, Aoki threw the vampire towards the front of the room.

Mid-air, a flash of light appeared. The vampire was instantly decapitated.

The room brightened, revealing three figures before Aoki.

One was Tenri Hīragi, whom Aoki had met before. The other two were a silver-haired man and a blonde woman.

"Ding!"

Shinya Hīragi:

Identity: Adopted son of the Hīragi family, Japanese Imperial Demon Army.

Personality: Cheerful, seemingly carefree, but actually thoughtful and composed.

Skills: Byakkomaru (White Tiger)

Combat Power: 5856

Overall Assessment: S-level

"Ding!"

Aoi Sangū:

Identity: Eldest daughter of the Sangū family.

Personality: Extremely loyal to Tenri Hīragi.

Skills: Chijiryū (Earth-Shaped Dragon)

Combat Power: 5168

Overall Assessment: S-level

Aoki received their information. Neither were insignificant figures.

"Aoki, your way of greeting people is quite unique," Tenri Hīragi said, looking down at Aoki with disdain.

He was the one who had decapitated the vampire.

"I think I should be saying that. Bringing a vampire, an enemy of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, to this location, a symbol of the upper echelon, is something only an idiot like you could think of," Aoki replied calmly, his dislike for Tenri Hīragi evident.

Tenri Hīragi didn't react to Aoki's attitude, but Aoi Sangū couldn't contain herself, pointing at Aoki and shouting, "You! How dare you talk to Master Tenri like that!"

Tenri Hīragi signaled for her to stop, and Aoi Sangū fell silent. "I heard you single-handedly fought four vampire nobles in Shinjuku. That's impressive, but you seem to lack the capital to act so arrogant in front of me."

"Oh? I think you should be groveling before me. I will bring unprecedented prosperity to the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, all because of me," Aoki replied coldly, with a hint of mockery.

Tenri Hīragi finally lost his patience. "It seems Guren Ichinose didn't teach you respect for your superiors. Waste teaches waste, I suppose. Since you're so arrogant, let me test your swordsmanship."

Aoki responded with an incredibly arrogant statement, even to his own ears. "Swordsmanship? No, no, no. I won't use a sword. You don't deserve to see my swordsmanship. If you want to witness it, grovel and watch when I next encounter vampire nobles."

The next second, Tenri Hīragi attacked with a roar.

"You brat! I'll shut you up right now!"

"Raijin Oni!"

Tenri Hīragi drew his katana. The blade was instantly enveloped in surging golden lightning, unleashing a wave of lightning that carved a fissure in the ground.

Aoki stood his ground, then moved.

He swiftly dodged Tenri Hīragi's attack, appearing before him in an instant. He grabbed Tenri Hīragi's face, pulling him back, and with his other hand, formed a blue sphere with a white aura, about two-thirds the size of a ping-pong ball.

"Rasengan!"

He launched the Rasengan, not aiming directly at Tenri Hīragi, but at the wall beside him, as it impacted.

"BOOM!"

A deafening sound echoed. The massive wall was blown open, creating a hole large enough for an adult to pass through easily.
