"I can't believe you guys actually had a civil conversation," Julian said, leaning against the wall in Rhys's living room. "You and Ethan's future step-sister."
I rolled my eyes, throwing myself onto the leather couch. "It wasn't a conversation. We barely spoke."
That wasn't entirely true. The memory of Elara's eyes—those damned green eyes—looking up at me with steel where there used to be fear bothered me more than I wanted to admit.
"Then why did he pull her aside yesterday? They looked pretty cozy to me," Axel chimed in, a smirk playing on his lips.
"How the hell should I know?" I snapped. "Why would I care what that nerdy omega does?"
