Alvin wiped the corner of his mouth, his fingers coming away stained with crimson. The metallic taste lingered on his tongue as Kolton's accusatory stare burned into him.
"What do you mean by that question?" Alvin asked, his voice steady despite the throbbing in his jaw.
Kolton's hands shot forward, grabbing fistfuls of Alvin's collar with savage intensity. The nearby servants gasped in shock at their future Gamma's aggressive display. Alvin caught their terrified expressions and gestured sharply for them to leave. They scattered like frightened birds, their footsteps echoing down the marble hallway.
Alvin studied Kolton's face with growing concern. Those familiar eyes now blazed with an unnatural fury, the pupils dilated and wild. Whatever had triggered this explosion hadn't been present during their earlier encounter at the restaurant.
"Who gave you the right to think about that girl? I told you to stay away from her."
