"Elsewhere? You mean destroying the ships of those bastard Hepoliss?" The beautiful Phoenix squad leader asked.
"That's right," Adam replied.
"What difference does it make if you destroy their ships or their ground forces and aid us in rescuing the Emperor? Also, after we rescue him, there is still time to attack their ships."
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): She really wants his help.]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): Can you blame her? It's her father after all.]
"There is quite a difference," Adam replied.
"How? Once the rest of your fleet arrives as reinforcements, it will be even easier to destroy their ships."
[LadyErkath (Oceana 7): Poor girl, she has no idea.]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): No help is coming.]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): Why doesn't that universal senate send help?]
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): You mean, why didn't they send help?]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): What?
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): It's in the past for us.]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): Whateva.]
"Hmmm," Adam said thoughtfully as he thought for a moment before asking.
"If you had to choose between your emperor and your entire race, which would you choose?"
"What does that mean?" The squad leader asked with a frown as her squad members joined Tephe and started shooting fire at the fleeing Hepolisks, burning them to ash.
"It means that if I go with you to help save the emperor, then your entire race might be eradicated, whereas if I eliminate their space fleet, your race has a chance of surviving, but the emperor may die."
"How can you possibly know such a thing?"
"Because it has already happened… for us at least."
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): Oh damn, is he going to tell her?]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): What are the chances she will believe him?]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): No chance.]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): No way, I mean it's time travel and the Dwarfinian's made that announcement right?]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Actually, universal year 972 is before the Dwarfinian science directorate made their announcement.]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): So she might believe him?]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): That's difficult to say, we are talking about someone claiming they have time-travelled after all.]
[LadyErkath (Oceana 7): She is desperate, though, so I think it's possible.]
"What?"
"I'm afraid you have no reinforcements coming to assist you."
"Then what are you and the dragon doing here?"
"We arrived here by accident, though. Is something really an accident if it was prophesied?"
"You're making no sense." The squad leader said in an annoyed tone.
Adam sighed before muting his external speaker and asking, "Spector, since we plan to change the timeline anyway, is there anything wrong with telling her the truth?"
[[Impossible to determine if the Phoenix race was wiped out, as is supposed to happen, then her knowing this information would make no difference. However, it is impossible to determine how she will alter the future if she learns the truth and also survives.]]
"So basically you're saying that I have to decide whether to trust her or not?"
[[Afirmative.]]
"Hey, are you still alive in there?" The squad leader asked after not receiving a response.
Instead of an answer, what the squad leader got was the mech kneeling down and stretching out its hand before saying.
"If you want to know the truth, climb on."
"Why?"
"Because what I have to tell you needs to stay quiet."
The squad leader looked at the mech with suspicion and thought for a moment before using her wings to fly up and land on the hand.
Adam had the mech stand back up and raise its hand up next to the cockpit's entrance as it opened, revealing Adam in his anti-gravity armour.
"You're no dragon, what race are you?" The squad leader asked in surprise at seeing Adam.
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): I'm guessing she doesn't know about the Terrans?]
[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): My race has yet to encounter any other race in the universe at this point in time.]
"I'm an Earthling, from a planet called Earth," Adam replied.
"Earth, I've never heard of it. Is it a new member of the known universe that the dragon's discovered?"
"No, my planet has not yet become part of the known universe. I travelled from outside known space."
"I guess that explains why your ship and mech look so different." The squad leader replied before asking, "So what needs to stay quiet?"
"What I'm about to tell you might sound crazy and impossible, but it's the truth."
"Just spit it out already, I've already spent too long trying to persuade you and need to get back to the battle."
"The dragon and I are not from this time; we have come from a time two thousand years in the future, where the Phoenix race no longer exists."
The squad leader stared at him as if he were crazy before asking, "What?"
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Told you.]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): See.]
"Is this some kind of joke?"
"No joke."
"You came here from two thousand years in the future?"
"Two thousand, two-hundred and seventy-five if you want to be exact."
"And my Phoenix race no longer exists?"
"Correct. You will lose this battle that history calls the Siege of Fenix Nest, wiping out all but a handful of your race. Those few will be hunted down over the coming years until finally your Phoenix race becomes extinct."
"Riggghhhtttt. And you can prove this?"
"Errrr. Spector?" Adam replied.
[[Afirmatve]]
After Spector replied, numerous holographic screens were projected above the fingers of the mech.
"What is this?" The squad leader asked in surprise as she saw the holographic screens appear out of nowhere.
"The history of your race and its eradication," Adam replied.
"I can see that, I mean, these holographic screens, I thought these were still in the experimental stage."
"In my time, they are common all over the known universe."
The squad leader just nodded in surprise before she went on to scan the information that was displayed on the holographic screens.
The more she read, the worse her facial expression became before she slumped to her knees and said weakly, "It's true?"
"I'm afraid so."
[Justiceistruth (Earth): What she believes him after just that?]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Has she never heard of fake information?]
[Emojisonly (Earth): 🤔]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Do you see the symbol in the top right corner of each file? That's the Universal Senate's stamp of authenticity. It means that a specific document has been verified as 100% authentic by the Universal Senate.]
[Justiceistruth (Earth): And this symbol can't be faked?]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): No. The creators of the Universal Subspace Network made it so that only official Universal Senate documents with that symbol can be uploaded, downloaded, or shared to prevent fraud.]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): You mean it's impossible for someone to make a fraudulent Universal Senate document?]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Not the document no, however, any sort of sharing it through the universal subspace network is impossible since it scans and verifies the document's authenticity.]
Eventually, the squad leader managed to gather herself somewhat to look up at Adam with hope before asking, "And the two of you are here to help us?"
"Yes and no. We were transported here by accident, or at least I originally thought so; however, my dragon friend's prophecy makes me think this was pre-determined."
"The white dragon's prophecy?"
"Yes," Adam replied before explaining to the beautiful squad leader what Tephe had told him and about their plan.
"So the white dragon believes her prophecy about travelling to the past and helping someone was to help us?"
"She does."
"And you believe that the best way to save my race is for you to go attack the Hepolisk fleet in orbit instead of saving the emperor?"
"I'm afraid so; however, I think Tephe will be more than happy to accompany you."
"I will gladly accept her help."
"Then can I ask that while I am not around, you watch over her?" Adam asked.
"You want me to protect a dragon?" The squad leader asked in surprise.
"She might be a dragon, but due to her upbringing, she is very innocent and naive when it comes to certain things. Plus, this is her first real battle, and I would feel better with someone watching over her."
"You care about her, don't you?" The squad leader asked with a slight look of envy.
"Why do you look so envious?" Adam asked curiously.
"What I do not."
"If you say so, anyway, will you watch over her while I deal with the fleet in orbit?"
"No problem."
"Good," Adam said before he started to lower the mech's hand back towards the ground.
"Wait." The squad leader said as she flew into the air using her wings and hovered in front of Adam again before asking.
"Wont you at least tell me your name?"
Adam thought for a moment, then shrugged and said.
"Adam."
"Adam, huh?" The squad leader replied before adding, "I'm Revi."
"Nice to meet you, Revi," Adam said before he sealed the mech's cockpit and had it stand back up.
"I'm back." A happy voice said as a giant dragon came flying towards the two of them, accompanied by the Phoenix squad.
