"It begs the question why the militaries of the different races don't use Black Knight replicas then," Raella remarked.
"The main reason is the fact that a Black Knight replica is expensive to build and maintain. First, there is the fact that it uses an anti-gravity drive, which is pricy for a mech and usually only high-ranking mech pilots in the military have the privilege of using those mechs with that tech. Then there are the drones, which are expensive to create as they are smaller than unmanned fighters, yet still need to carry sufficient firepower to be worth it, and there is also the cost to repair or replace them should they get damaged or destroyed," Dulaebella explained.

The competitor mechs and the zombie alines battled against each other, as blaster bolts and lasers fired back and forth between them after the zombie alines realised that a new group had started attacking them.
"Well, it looks like Speed Stone doesn't like being in third on the leaderboard because it has just increased its speed even more, and along with the twin blaster pistols it is wielding, it has started firing off lasers from sections of its six wings," Honcho said in surprise.
"You're right, and this is something we have never seen from Speed Stone before; those lasers must be a new addition, as it has never shown them in previous UMB Cups nor any other mech battle competition," Dulaebella stated with interest.
"If Excess Surplus doesn't do something quick, then it's going to fall even further behind the other three competitors than it already is," Raella advised.

"It seems that Excess Surplus has come to the same conclusion because it has just slung the shield it was carrying in its left hand onto its back before pulling out a blaster pistol from a leg compartment," Honcho stated as the feed showed Excess Surplus start to dual-wield, firing.
"Not only that, it seems something is happening with its wings; they seem to be splitting in half," Dulaebella added as everyone watched.
While the lower half of the triangular wings continued to form the mounting form of Excess Surplus's boosters, the upper half began to rotate before it started rapidly firing blaster bolts at the undead alien invaders.
"Oh my, it seems all four competitors have hidden weapons since even Excess Surplus has revealed two rear-mounted cannons."
"Both Speed Stone and Excess Surplus seem to have made upgrades since the last mech competition that either of them appeared in," Dulaebella replied.
"Is that giant undead alien closing in on Black Prime?" Raella suddenly asked as the feed switched to show one of the turtle-snake undead aliens approaching Prime from behind.

"I think you might be right," Honcho replied as the feed switched to show another of the giant turtle-snake undead aliens crashing through the side of buildings as it approached Spector Unit Six, who was currently fighting several zombie undead.
