"Excuse me, miss, sorry to bother you," Adam said as he stopped a respectable distance from the short blonde-haired girl so as not to appear threatening before he asked, "I was hoping you could direct my friend and me as we seem to be lost?"
Liluth thoroughly enjoyed the presentation that had just been given by the Dwarfinian science directorate and as she left the lecture hall, her mind raced with ideas about the theories and concepts they discussed in there, though she also couldn't help but feel a little disappointed.
As always, when she walked through Capital University, the students, staff and any other guests at the university gave her a wide berth and although many of them acknowledged her with a polite bow, none of them approached her.
She had hoped that after attending the lecture, she might be able to mingle with one of the groups in order to further discuss the topics that were raised and possibly make some friends, but alas, she was once again left alone, or at least she was until someone approached and spoke to her as if they didn't know who she was.

Adam was about to answer again when a hand covered his mouth just before Rowena appeared behind him and peered over her shoulder at Liluth while saying sweetly, "I think that's enough, darling, we still need to find the location of the Historic Research Department after all."

"That's right. So if you would be so kind as to point us in the right direction, I would be more than happy to drag my husband away before he makes an even bigger fool of himself," Rowena replied sweetly.
"Oh, allow me to show you the way," Liluth suggested eagerly.

By now, the crowd that had been leaving the lecture hall along with Liluth had stopped and started to pay attention to the commotion, since they never expected someone to approach the princess and start up a conversation. Rowena, noticing this, was about to refuse when something nearby suddenly hit the ground before exploding and releasing a piercing, bright light and loud bang that disoriented Rowena and almost everyone else.
