As he watched them from above, Adam noticed that the leader slowly got closer to the energy shield while scouring the area for him until he was right next to it, where he took the opportunity to smack it with the hilt of his blaster, only for it to rebound off.
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): So I'm guessing the energy shield is preventing anything from passing through it, right? Then what about oxygen?]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): some do indeed stop everything, including oxygen. While others only prevent physical objects. It really depends on how that specific energy shield the streamer deployed is configured.]
[LadyErkath (Deverinian Prime): Rowena doesn't look too concerned, so I guess oxygen is still getting through. I mean, just look at how she's smirking as if she's just enjoying a good show.]
[MercheadAnderson (Palaxia): Since they're not using them, I'm guessing the Caninians didn't bother to bring any gas weapons.]
As the leader of the Caninian team was shaking their wrist in an attempt to remove the pain they had just received after their blaster rebounded off, Adam took the opportunity to aim his force staff half at him before pressing a different section than before.
A blue light flashed at the end of the staff before a bolt of blue energy shot down towards the leader and struck him in the back, causing him to drop his blaster as he collapsed to the ground.
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Got him. Another dead bad guy.]
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): You fucking idiot, you really don't pay attention at all. That was a stun shot, not a blaster bolt. Blaster bolts are red; stun shots are blue. The leader is just unconscious.]
"HE'S ABOVE, ABOVE!" one of the Caninian team members yelled as they happened to turn and see where Adam's stun shot came from before they raised their blaster and started firing up at him.
"Shit," Adam cursed as he allowed himself to drop off the tree branch and fall towards the ground before kicking off the tree trunk and launching himself towards another of the Caninian team members.
The Caninian team member saw him flying towards him, so he once again decided to dive to the side in order to avoid being tackled or worse shot by the strangely dressed Terran.
Unfortunately for him, Adam had predicted this and followed the Caninian's movements with his force staff and only fired after the Caninian hit the ground and was starting a roll to keep up momentum and lessen their impact.
The blaster bolt hit the Caninian just as they were in the middle of their roll, causing it to collapse midway through, leaving the Caninian sprawled on the earth, dead.
"Fuck, focus fire," Another team member said angrily as the three remaining Caninian all shot their blasters at Adam again, who copied what the Caninian he had just killed tried to do as he did a quick roll to lessen the fall's impact and keep up momentum before he used his enhanced leg strength to propel himself between a pair of nearby trees.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck," one of the three remaining Caninians cursed as their blaster bolts hit the trees Adam had just dived between.
"No one ever said we would be fighting a universal bodyguard. I say we pull out," the only remaining female Caninian stated as she looked around warily.
"You want to give up, Rhea? What about the job, coward?" Another snapped.
"This job is already fucked; you saw what we're dealing with. He's already taken out half of us, and we can't even get to the target anymore. We need to pull out before we get taken out, too," Rhea replied.
"She has a point, Mug," the third stated.
"You're agreeing with her, Reef?" Mug asked in disbelief.
"If you want to leave, I won't stop you," Adam's voice stated from within the trees he had just dived between.
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): What? He plans to let them go? Lame. 👎]
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): Perhaps, but his priority is to ensure Diva Rowena and Princess Liluth's safety. Not kill them.]
[OrangeeyedStace (Felinia 7): They'll end up dead if they stay and fight.]
"Fucking cowards, leave if you want, but don't come crying to me when I take all the reward for myself," Mug snapped angrily.
"You can't be serious? You actually think you can take care of a universal bodyguard on your own?" Rhea asked.
"Then what about the leader? You plan to just leave him here?" Mug replied.
"I would rather leave with my life and get nothing than leave in a box and get nothing," Rhea replied before adding, "and so what if I leave Bullet behind? He's deadweight now, and I have no interest in carrying someone who takes a much larger cut than he should from every job."
"Come on, Mug. You have to agree that she makes a good point. Bullet always scammed us on the split from each job," Reef added.
"You would take her side, Reef. You have always had the hots for Rhea," Mug spat before saying, "You know Bullet always took a bigger cut because he's the one with all the contacts."
"That might have been true in the beginning, but we have been working together for a while now, so why haven't the splits from the more recent jobs been fairer?" Rhea asked.
[HackerSu (Trillion): Are those idiots really having a domestic right now?]
[OrangeeyedStace (Felinia 7): Seems like it.]
"Too slow," Adam suddenly said before a flash of red light hit Mug's leg, causing him to cry out in pain before he collapsed to the ground, clutching at the stump that glowed red.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Oh hell yeah. Now that's what I wanna see.]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): He blew his leg off. Why did he do that?]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Probably missed. Kek.]
[Whitehorn (Darah 5): More likely, he was giving the other two a warning.]
[OfficialMuriel (Aqua Primus): Then why not just kill him?]
[Whitehorn (Darah 5): I guess that's something only Adam knows, and we're going to have to wait and find out.]
"What the fuck?" Reef cursed as he and Rhea refocused their attention on where Adam had dived between the trees.
"What happened to letting us go? You lied to us, shithead?" Rhea asked angrily.
"Not at all. You and that Reef guy are free to leave," Adam replied before adding. "I think I'm being rather generous, considering your group is interrupting my honeymoon.
Mug lost a leg because he was wasting time with his needless arguing when all three of you could have fucked off by now. So either take him with you or leave him behind. Either way, get lost unless you two want to die."
"What do we do?" Reef asked as he shot Rhea a quizzical look out of the corner of his eye.
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU ASKING HER FOR? HELP ME UP, YOU DICKHEAD," Mug shouted through clenched teeth.
Rhea shot Mug a nasty smile while moving her blaster away from the trees where Adam had disappeared and pointed it at Mug, whose eyes widened in surprise before he asked, "What the fuck are you doing, Rhea?"
"Eliminating the deadweight," Rhea replied as her smile turned cold just before she pulled her blaster pistol and blew Mug's head off.

"Rhea?" Reef said in surprise as he stared down at Mug's headless corpse.
"What? There was no way I was carrying him after the shit he just said to me. You also need to learn to stand up for yourself, Reef. No woman wants a weak-ass man who lets people walk all over him and speak to him like Mug was just doing," Rhea replied.
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): This girl speaks truth.]
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): Agreed.]
"Are you saying that if I man up, you will go out with me?" Reef asked hopefully.
[OfficialMuriel (Aqua Primus): Is he seriously asking that right now?]
"Are you seriously asking her that right now?" Adam asked in disbelief.
"Are you seriously asking me that right now?" Rhea asked in shock.
"So.. sorry," Reef said bashfully as he scratched the back of his head.
"Fucking idiot," Rhea said before storing her blaster and walking away.
"Rhea? Where are you going?" Reef asked in surprise as he quickly followed her.
"Away from here. The job's a bust, and I have no interest in dying," Rhea replied.
"So we're just going to leave Bullet?" Reef asked as he shot their leader, who was still unconscious on the ground, a look.
"Feel free to go get him if you want, but I won't help you when that universal bodyguard with the strange clothes kills you," Rhea replied while waving her hand.
Reef shot Bullet one last look before continuing to follow Rhea.

[Gunlovergirl (Earth): See, that's why I like that girl. She's ruthless but also knows when to call it quits.]
[RealOtaku (Earth): Booo, I was hoping to see a Hero Saviours-type fight scene. I haven't been this disappointed since I watched the final episode of Wierder Beings.]
[CEOHopkins (Earth): His tech is like forty-three years more advanced, so there isn't really any need for him to make it difficult by fighting in melee. Plus, they have blasters themselves.]
