Chapter 100 - You are not fine

A voice bellowed from the entrance, fists clenched at his sides, his burning gaze locked on Zara. Rage surged through him. It was Silas.

The sight of her sprawled on the floor, exposed and shaken, made his blood boil in ways he couldn't contain. He should never have let her out of his sight, especially after noticing the greedy stares men cast at her earlier. He was foolish and very weak. He hated himself for listening to her. And the thought of what the pervert might have done to her made him want to rip the man's head clean off.

"Just let me go, I didn't touch her!" The pervert barked, shamelessly. He stood in a half-ready stance, prepared to bolt if things went wrong.

But Silas's glare didn't waver, and when the pervert glanced between him and the open door, he made a split-second decision and then ran for it.

He never made it. Silas's hand shot out, catching him by the neck. With one savage motion, he flung the man back across the rooftop, his body crashing to the ground.
