Upon returning to the villa, Patricia hurried toward Zara's room, stopping short when she found Silas standing with his head lowered outside the door. Her heart skipped a beat, and she prayed it wasn't what she feared. Kay had said Zara was almost raped, right? Silas was probably just as worried as she was, and this must be his way of dealing with it.
"Hey!" Silas called, breaking her out of her spiraling thoughts. Only then did she realize she had been gawking at him instead of speaking.
"Hi… Is she alright?" She asked, forcing calm into her voice, though her hands twitched by her sides. She felt herself teetering on the edge of breaking down if his answer wasn't what she needed to hear.
"Yes. The doctor just left after giving her some sleeping pills. She should wake up tomorrow morning," Silas replied, earning Patricia's shaky sigh of relief. She swayed but quickly steadied herself, pressing a hand to her forehead.
