Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Inferiority or Arrogance

Hearing Lord Mobius say that, Pallas's expression hesitated for a moment, then he drooped his head, his hands not knowing where to put them. "I also want to rely on my own strength. I once fantasized that I could obtain a powerful divine position and be sought after by countless gods."

"When I was born, every day, every minute, even every second, I fantasized and yearned for new power, just like Your Highness."

"But I don't have that ability. I am just a mediocre existence. I have witnessed the wisdom of countless humans, encountered Nymphs bravely resisting, and Daimons burning themselves without hesitation."

"After that, I retreated. What a ridiculous statement! I retreated, wrapped myself in the rainy season, and then fantasized that I was the master of the downpour."

"I have been born for tens of thousands of years… but my divine position is still that of a downpour, and it's a downpour in spring, restricted to spring! The downpours of summer and autumn are not under my control!" Pallas's eyes held a hint of loneliness, his seemingly robust muscles were filled with timidity, and his heroic demeanor carried fear and cowardice.

"Do you know how much I envy you, Your Highness! The master of healing and purification! Lord Mobius, every one of your divine positions looks so astonishing. Flowers are called the decorations of Mother Earth Gaia, and all the flowers in the world are Mother Earth Gaia's ornaments." Pallas's face was filled with longing.

"How much I envy you that Mother Earth Gaia gave you this divine position!"

"Your healing can attract the followers of countless gods, and I also want to control all the rain that falls from the sky and be followed by countless gods," Pallas said sadly. "But I don't have that ability! The power of downpour belongs to Your Highness Zeus, and his divine position constantly influences the rain."

"I can't compete with him, nor do I dare to compete with him," Pallas said after a long silence, "So I can only use this seemingly foolish method to get a little attention from other gods."

The healing flower in Mobius's hand bloomed and then withered, and a complex look flashed in his eyes. Pallas's appearance was so similar to his in his previous life!

He lacked ability but was unwilling to be mediocre, wanted to do things but was timid, his ability and ambition did not match, he didn't want to wait but wanted to take shortcuts, didn't want to improve himself but wanted to get everything!

However, the transmigration made him recognize himself. Mobius clenched the healing flower in his hand. He had seen the frailty of humans, so in order to not die, in order to live with dignity, he had been diligently improving himself, constantly busy. So-called flowers were just seasoning, and love and desire could not compare to the sweetness brought by ambition.

Mobius's eyes were complex. With a flick of his finger, the lush plants transformed into an exquisite long chair, and he sat down. "Times are changing, and the world is developing. You must learn to see the world. Whatever power the world needs, go acquire it." Mobius knew that his words were like a top student who got full marks by plagiarizing teaching a mediocre student who could only pass. His words were less for Pallas than for himself.

"Even the power of healing, I did not have it naturally, but obtained this power from the joy of all living beings healing from their wounds after I healed them throughout the world."

"You must observe and discover, always be humble, always improve yourself, do not be anxious, do not be arrogant." Mobius stared with complex eyes at the twelve-leaf silver chain he took from his ear. This was his divine artifact, and the only divine artifact that could heal all wounds.

He was a person from another world, naturally able to discover the strengths and weaknesses of a world. By comparing the two worlds, he could easily discover what this world lacked, and thus easily obtain what was insufficient in this world.

Just like now, after he obtained these three divine positions, the power of Peace would also be nurtured from his body.

But what if? What if his bonus ran out? One must plan ahead as a human, and even more so as a god. Gods are not foolish existences in storybooks; they are real and wise. It is just that their powerful divine power makes it unnecessary for them to use their wisdom.

And what Mobius thought was to transform this information into his own nourishment before the era's bonus ran out, to enhance his experience and ability, thereby becoming more powerful.

To retain his core competitiveness and gain more advantages.

Pallas looked at Mobius with piety and yearning. He understood. He knew why Mobius succeeded; it was because of his noble qualities! I must learn from him!

He straightened his back, his eyes serious. "Lord Mobius, I still want to ask you to save my uncle, Thaumas, the Thaumas of the Sea, this one time."

Pallas's words did not address Thaumas as Your Highness but as uncle, which indicated that he truly understood Mobius's words, though how much achievement would follow was hard to say…

However, as long as he worked hard and improved himself, he would definitely obtain a divine position, at least the power of perseverance.

One must persevere in doing things, and the divine position of perseverance is born from this.

Mobius smiled and changed his posture. "Pallas, congratulations on finding yourself, but I still cannot go to the ocean. I am now going to Olympus."

"You can invite Lord Thaumas to Olympus. I will wait for him in the War Pantheon. As long as I am here, I will always wait for him, comfort his pain, bring him smiles, and give him my blessings." A flickering light of healing appeared in Mobius's hand.

"As for me going to the ocean, you know that Oceanus, the Ocean that encircles the world, and Tethys, the Mother of Water, have always been eyeing me covetously. If I go to the ocean, I will become their prey."

"Your wife is Styx, the River of the Underworld, and she should be aware of Lady Tethys's madness for healing power. I am currently under the protection of Mother Earth Gaia, but that might not be the case later!"

Pallas suddenly understood. He finally knew why Mobius didn't want to go to the ocean; it was because he was worried about being captured by Tethys.

If Tethys were to abduct Mobius, then even Ares, the God of War, would not be able to save Mobius.

Pallas understood such matters, as he had also experienced similar situations, so he no longer pleaded, but instead said with a complex expression, "Thank you for Your Highness Mobius's explanation."
