Chapter 13 : High Tier Level Up Card :
" You Are Nothing But A Third Rate Villain . "
Confusion !
The people in the room including the villain who was beaten down was at this moment confused .
' A third rate villain ? The hell does that even mean ? '
They could not understand why did Cian even say such a thing at this moment .
What was the point of this ?
Cian obviously understood that they wouldn't understand what he just said .
' It's just that I wanted to tell that line for so long. '
I mean what could feel better than defeating an early villain and telling right to his face that ' you are nothing but a third rate villain ' .
This was really satisfying.
" How dare you ! Are you insulting me . "
Although Marus Baronet he did not understood the meaning of the line he felt a surge of anger within him .
Strangely he did not have any complaint when he heard him being called a villain but instead felt a satisfaction in his house as it is life long goal was accomplished .
However when he heard the word ' third rate ' he felt as if he was being insulted as a small time thug .
' I am the youngest son of the Baronet family and he thinks I am a low level thug . '
This was really humiliating .
" What's there to insult ? I just spoke the truth . "
Facing this outburst Cian did not back down instead increased his taunts .
" And the truth my friend is some time bitter to listen . "
" I am just giving you a reality check . "
Cian also had no reason to back down at this moment .
' You dared to cause trouble for the girl I like , so there is no way I am going to let you go . '
" Hahaha haha! "
After a long silence suddenly Marus who stood up from the ground started to laugh madly .
" You little scoundrel since you want to fight I will show you what a real fight is . "
Suddenly the air around Marus Baronet changed .
Noticing the change even the crowd took a step back .
" I admit that you are quite strong physically but let's see what you can do against magic . "
" Hiss !!!! "
This words left the entire crowd in shock .
Till now the fight was just hand to hand so it was within control .
But now this mad fool was trying to use magic inside the Academy to attack another student .
A total mad man .
And true to his words the arrogant Noble started forming a wind magic in his hand intending to deliver the last strike .
And this was actually the wind blade magic .
It was a basic magic power but when used correctly it was going to harm .
Although it won't be fatal but it will still cause deep wound if taken by a normal person .
Seeing this the others in the area looked at each other in shock and horror .
' Isn't this going too far ! '
One must remember that magic is something very hard to learn and most of the commoners have not even started their journey in it .
However the nobles due to their talents and earlier training from there household have more experience in this matter .
Just like in this case the arrogant Young Master of the Baronet family is actually an early Mana Initiate realm wizard .
So while he lost to Cian in a physical fight he still holds an significant advantage over him in terms of magic .
Now some of you may ask that isn't Cian also from a noble background.
So shouldn't he no magic by now .
The answer is both yes and no at the same time .
As said before while Cian does come from a noble household but it is at the bottom of the noble hierarchy .
He was trained in the art of archery , swordsmanship , various physical trainings , hunting and theoretical magical knowledge .
However the family could not afford to teach him magical spells .
The main reason is that the path of the wizard in the early stages is one of the most expensive and resource intensive path .
You would need to first see which magical affinity your specialising in and what are your talents in it .
This will require you buying a lot of magical items and crystals .
Then you will need to hire an official Wizard to teach you the ways of Magic which is even more expensive as a wizard and an alchemist values their time more than anyone else .
And even after that there is the cost of various magical books , scrolls and other tools to increase your strength and continue training .
Let alone a commoner even a lower level noble family like Cian's household could not afford something like this .
In fact there is not a single Wizard in his family right now and the last person who learned magic in his bloodline was his grand uncle who was only a peak stage spell caster .
On the other hand training a warrior at least in the early stages is the least expensive of the four professions .
So for early Training it was more possible to train in Warrior path then in Wizard path .
Obviously when you reach higher levels this distinction goes away however by that time they would be studying in the academy and the Academy will be responsible for teaching them not the families .
So before giving them the permission to go to the academy the lower noble families often focuses on the theoretical part of Magic so that they can learn the practical part in the Academy .
Hence while Cian was trained In theoretical knowledge of Magic he does not have any spell that he can use .
" Huh ! You are going to use magic in the the Academy against a fellow student ? Are you really that much of an idiot . "
Cian said looking unbotherred by the fact that the other side was casting a spell .
" Why ? Are you scared little bird ? There is still time for you to beg for mercy . "
Marus on the other hand was so engross by the moment that he thought that Cian's question was the proof of his fear .
" Oh no ! You seem to getting the wrong idea my friend . "
" I won't be apologising ! But you will . "
But despite the situation Cian still showed no signs of backing down .
" Alright ! This guy has gone crazy ! "
" Just back down my friend . "
" Yes ! Don't let pride dictate your end . "
" Oh no ! Someone call the teacher . "
The audience was now really worried for Cian .
Till now at least nothing has gone to the point to be called dangerous but now the situation was getting more and more out of control .
" Huh ! If you are that eager to get hurt then pay for your actions. "
Although Marus did not understand what was the reason why they other party was so calm right now he simply did not care anymore.
If this person was willing to play the part of a wanna be hero then let him play .
' Where the hell is he ! '
Cian on the other side prepared himself to dodge the attack .
But it was also clear that he was not worried about the situation as he was waiting for someone to intervene .
And true to the word someone did come in between the fight the next moment .
" Enough ! "
" Boom !!!! "
Suddenly a sound like a thunderbolt rang throughout the area freezing everyone mid step .
" Thud ! Thud ! Thud ! Thud !!!!! "
The pressure from the sound was so much that everyone in the audience , Liora and the four subordinates who had just got up from the ground immediately fell on their knees .
Even Marus who was about to launch his magical attack quickly froze as his legs gave out in terror .
This was beyond anything anyone has thought.
When they looked back to see the cause of this sudden intervention their eyes widened in shock and then in fear .
The man standing behind them was none other than - professor Alistair Frost .
' Hell ! This is over ! '
Even the ever arrogant Marus Baronet at this moment was frozen in shock .
For all his arrogance even he understood the power behind professor Frost .
Even his senior brother and father had warned him about this man and particularly told him to make no trouble while he was there .
It's just that in his over excitement and anger he had forgotten that this was supposed to be his class .
' This is all this girl's fault ! If She had accepted my proposal from the beginning none of this would have happened . ' - he thought to himself bitterly .
" Is this supposed to be an Academy or your home ground where you are playing around and causing trouble . "
At this moment Alistair Frost was really in a bad mood .
Just as he was coming to his class he saw the commotion up ahead .
And when he got close he saw that one of the students was actually trying to use a magical spell against a fellow student inside the Academy building .
' And this is just the second day of there Academy and there already breaking the rules . '
' It seems that this new batch of idiots needs to be thoroughly disciplined . '
Professor Frost would never allow such indiscipline to exist in the Academy .
And this time the situation was even worse.
If this was a normal fight that perhaps there was a chance of letting this go .
But now that the situation had escalated to the point where magic was being used without supervision against another student , there was no way to let it go .
" Good morning professor ! I am extremely sorry for behaving in such a manner . "
Suddenly a voice came through the tence atmosphere bringing everyone's attention towards it .
Once they looked who had spoken up they saw a scene that shocked them to the core .
There was a boy standing despite the pressure given by the professor's voice.
It was Cian who was standing there his body shaking a little but still standing .
Even professor Frost was a little shocked when he saw this .
" Oh ! Interesting so you are able to stand after taking the pressure . " - professor Frost said with a hint of interest in his voice .
After all they were just first year students who have not even started their Academy properly .
The magical force in this voice pressure contained only a little bit of his power as it was meant to control the crowd .
Still it was still strong enough to make everyone else in the crowd fall on their knees .
But despite shaking all over his body this boy was standing where and showed a confident smile .
' This boy is different , it seems I need to give him some special attention in the class from now onwards . '
Alistair Frost quietly thought to himself .
" Alright that's enough all of you go back to the classroom . "
" And as for those who fought here today .... "
" You all will stay after the class I will have a talk with both of you . "
Finally with that this the situation came to an end .
At least for now .
' Phew ! That was one hell of a pressure ! '
Cian at this moment was really shaking inside .
Although he managed to stand still using all his power it was still a really hard job .
He almost fell to the ground just like everyone else.
If not for the fact that he was had known that this was going to happen he would have fallen to the ground despite his best efforts .
" But atleast the mission is complete. "
And that meant that he was going to get a handsome reward .
And just as he thought the system did not disappoin him .
" Ding ! System Notification : Host you have save the first heroine Liora from the third rate villain Marus Baronet and have taken the hero's place . As such you have made a tier : 3 change and are now eligible for a random' Rare ' Reward .
Ding ! Congratulations host you have received a High Tier Level Up Card :
This Level Up card when used will permanently increase the users current rank to the next rank .
That is to say if the user is to use this card now then his current Late Stage of Novice Realm will upgrade into Late Stage of Vateran Realm .
Note : The effects of the card are permanent and it may take 24 hours for the effects to take place and stabilize .
