Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: VIP Lounge Encounter

"Xiao Rou, don't call me 'Mister' anymore. Do I really look that old?"

Lin Fan leaned back in the bathtub, his lips curled into a lazy smile.

Xiao Rou's face flushed slightly. Her voice turned softer.

"Xiao… Fan…"

She didn't usually act this bold, but Lin Fan wasn't just rich—he was good-looking and young. If it had been some greasy old man, she would've never considered it.

"I'll help you wash," she said, reaching out.

Lin Fan didn't stop her. If someone delivered themselves to the door, why push them away?

As he gently touched her hand, she trembled and instinctively pulled back like she'd been shocked.

That reaction…

Lin Fan's brows twitched slightly. First time?

Xiao Rou bit her lip, clearly shaken. She forced a smile.

"Xiao Fan, I'll go bring you some fruit..."

Lin Fan's mood dipped. She's tempting me but playing hard to get?

"No need," he said flatly. "And stop calling me 'Mister.' I'm done washing."

Sensing his displeasure, Xiao Rou lowered her head.

"S-Sorry... Xiao Fan... let me help you dry off."

Lin Fan wasn't someone who liked forcing others.

"You can go. I'll handle it myself."

Xiao Rou backed out of the bathroom with her head bowed. But she paused at the bedroom door, struggling internally. Then, she made a decision.

She removed her pajamas and quietly slipped into the bed.

Lin Fan stepped into the room, steam trailing from his skin. His eyes instantly locked onto Xiao Rou, curled up on the bed, her pajamas folded neatly on the side table.

The sheets barely covered her. Her smooth back was exposed, glowing under the soft hotel light, her delicate shoulders trembling slightly.

A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. So she chose this path.

He didn't say a word.

The towel slid from his body, hitting the carpet without a sound.

With slow, deliberate steps, he approached the bed like a predator cornering its prey.

The air thickened.

As he climbed onto the bed, Xiao Rou didn't move, but he could feel the way her breath quickened. She was nervous… but she hadn't run.

He hovered over her, one hand gently brushing her hair aside, revealing her flushed cheek.

"You really don't know what you've started," Lin Fan murmured, his voice low and gravelly, barely above a whisper.

Xiao Rou didn't respond. But her fingers curled around the sheet, knuckles turning white.

Lin Fan lowered himself, lips grazing her shoulder—featherlight kisses, followed by slow, hot breaths that made her shiver.

"Still not stopping me?" he teased, his tongue trailing up to her ear.

"…No," she whispered.

That was all he needed.

In one swift movement, the sheet was gone.

His lips crashed against hers, this time without hesitation. He took control—hands exploring her soft curves, his weight pinning her down gently but firmly.

She moaned softly against his lips, her body arching toward him, instinctively responding to the heat rolling off him.

Lin Fan's mouth trailed down her collarbone, biting just hard enough to make her gasp. His touch grew bolder, rougher, and Xiao Rou was swept up in the storm.

He grabbed her wrists, pinned them above her head with one hand, his gaze locking onto hers.

"Tonight, you're mine," he growled.

And he meant every word.

Her breath hitched, but she didn't resist.

Every movement after that was deliberate—his pace slow, controlled, driving her mad with anticipation. He didn't just take her—he claimed her, again and again, until her voice was hoarse from moaning his name.

The room was filled with the rhythm of their bodies colliding, the sheets twisted beneath them, the scent of sweat and desire thick in the air.

Her nails raked down his back.

His fingers tangled in her hair.

Every touch, every kiss, every thrust sent her spiraling higher until she cried out beneath him, trembling from head to toe.

He didn't stop there.

Not until she lay limp in his arms, completely spent, clinging to his chest as if he were the only solid thing in her world.

---

It was a wild, sleepless night.

By the time the sun rose, both of them were still curled in bed.

Lin Fan woke around noon. He glanced at the red stain on the sheet and lit a cigarette, lost in thought.

Hearing the flick of the lighter, Xiao Rou stirred. Their eyes met. Then she quickly buried her face in the blanket.

The silence was heavy.

Finally, Lin Fan broke it.

"Take out your phone."

Xiao Rou hesitated but obeyed, already guessing his intent.

He probably thinks I'm just another gold-digger… But it's already done. No point in pretending now.

Lin Fan transferred one million yuan without blinking.

"I know you must have your reasons," he said. "Take the money. If you want to follow me, I'll take you. If not… I won't force you."

Tears welled up in Xiao Rou's eyes.

"Xiao Fan… thank you. My father's in the hospital… the bills are crushing us. But… after what I did last night… I don't have the face to go with you."

She quickly dressed and left.

Lin Fan silently crushed the cigarette in the ashtray, his gaze calm as he stood and headed for the airport.

---

Meanwhile, Xiao Rou rushed to the hospital.

Her mother was just outside, still on the phone, begging acquaintances for financial help.

Seeing her exhausted, aging figure, Xiao Rou's heart twisted.

She stepped forward and hugged her mother tightly. Her voice trembled.

"Mom… you don't need to borrow money anymore. I got it."

She transferred the full 1 million yuan to her mother.

When her mom saw the transaction, her hands trembled.

"…Xiao Rou, your father and I… we've failed you."

She didn't ask where the money came from.

She already knew.

Xiao Rou smiled faintly and wiped her eyes.

"This is enough to treat Dad and pay off everything. Take care of him. I'll be back."

Then, she left.

---

Ding~

Lin Fan's phone vibrated with a new WeChat message. It was from Zhou Momo.

He opened it and froze.

[Transfer: ¥3,000,000]

Three million?! Was this sent by mistake?

Zhou Momo followed with a string of messages:

> "I said I'd split it 50/50 yesterday. I sold that jade stone for ¥26 million!"

"Guess who bought it? That idiot you mentioned! 😂"

"I was too hyped yesterday and forgot to transfer you your cut 😅"

"I just got to the airport but the flight's delayed two hours 😐"

She's at the airport?

Lin Fan instinctively looked around and typed a reply.

> "I'm at the airport too. Where are you?"

He sent a photo from the VIP lounge.

Zhou Momo replied almost instantly.

> "Seriously?! Wait—I'll come find you!"

Just then, Lin Fan spotted her in the distance, carrying her handbag and looking around.

He sent another message.

> "Look up. I'm at the entrance."

Zhou Momo looked up, and their eyes met.

Lin Fan was smiling and waving.

Today, he was dressed in a high-end Alima outfit, every detail exuding class and confidence. That casual handsomeness now had a sharp, polished edge.

Zhou Momo blinked.

Was he always this good-looking?

She walked over quickly and plopped down beside him.

"I seriously didn't recognize you just now. You're totally glowing!"

"I've always been this handsome," Lin Fan joked.

He pulled out his phone and showed her the transfer.

"You casually sent three million. You're really not just a small staffer at Zhou Fu Jewelry, are you?"

Zhou Momo grinned and stuck her tongue out playfully.

"I told you, didn't I? I'm the precious daughter of Zhou Fu Jewelry~"

Lin Fan raised a brow.

"Zhou Fu Jewelry is number one in the country. You're not even hiding your identity. Aren't you scared someone might kidnap you?"

Zhou Momo shrugged.

"You don't look like someone hurting for money. Why would you kidnap me?"

"Well," Lin Fan smirked. "You're underestimating how greedy men can be."

Zhou Momo giggled and suddenly handed him her phone.

"Here! This is my steel futures account. Help me check it out. If it earns anything, I'll split the profits with you again—excluding the principal!"

Lin Fan blinked.

"You're into futures trading too?"

Zhou Momo leaned back and crossed her arms, pouting.

"Hmph! I've already lost a lot of my allowance playing it…"
