Chapter 193 - Chapter 193: Is Grand Kai Going Back on His Word?

Piccolo had seen how powerful this move was, so he didn't dare be careless. He endured the cracking pain in his back and flew into the sky, trying to avoid Raditz's energy wave.

But Raditz seemed to have expected this all along. With a wave of his hands, the Saturday Crash shot into the sky!

"Oh no!" Piccolo yelled internally. With his hands in front of his body, he wasn't afraid of having his arms and legs broken by the energy bombardment - he just couldn't fall out of bounds. Standing in the air, he only needed to endure the impact!

The powerful destructive force passed by Piccolo. The sweating Namekian was surprised to find that Raditz's Saturday Crash had been deflected... The mighty energy whooshed past his ears, piercing through the air. Even the ground became rough and cracked from the rolling shockwaves, but nothing happened to him.

His chest rose and fell violently as Piccolo let out a long breath.

To make such a rookie mistake - had Raditz used up too much energy in his battle with Pikkon?

Piccolo smiled. He thought he could win, that he could stomp Raditz under his feet and vent his anger.

"Third move!" Before Piccolo could celebrate, Raditz suddenly launched his attack, as if he didn't regret the apparent mistake at all.

In that moment, Raditz's golden flame burned wildly like a solar flare erupting. At the same time, shining light approached Piccolo as a huge oppressive force swept in from all directions.

Raditz's psychic imprisonment - telekinetic cage!

The telekinetic power at Super Saiyan level was extremely powerful, and even Piccolo found his speed and strength limited. Though it only slowed him down a little, this was the key to victory in a master-level duel.

The countless energy balls that had flown into the sky earlier reappeared in an instant, exploding one after another around Piccolo's body in the most brutal and direct bombardment!

Saiyan Instant Explosion Secret Technique!

"That's the move!" Vegeta, who had suffered from it before, immediately recognized it.

Back then, he'd also been left disgraced and embarrassed by Raditz's Saiyan Instant Explosion Secret Technique.

Scorching air flowed through the chaos as the audience sat speechless, trembling in the smell of smoke and burning. They were both terrified and excited, cold sweat pouring from their pores while their pupils shone with incredible light.

"Ahhhhh! Raditz, I won't lose!" Piccolo yelled through gritted teeth, his eyes nearly tearing from rage.

At this moment, Piccolo was more like a warrior. Though he still had evil intentions, they were covered by a stronger desire to win! His body was forced back by the bombardment, his defensive line smashed by heavy explosions, but a tenacious will kept supporting him.

Finally, the last wave of energy balls hit. Piccolo's battered body hung in the air, dripping with cold sweat and blood. He was already approaching the edge, but he'd survived after all.

A satisfied smile reappeared on Piccolo's face.

Raditz's eyes suddenly widened. The vast sky rumbled as a force pierced through like a sword of divine punishment! Piccolo's pupils shrank and his muscles tensed!

There was another energy attack?! It was the deflected Shine Ki attack!

The energy burning in the void bombarded Piccolo's body. Silver flashes rolled like a dragon, and the Namekian's scream bloomed like a fluorescent flower.

Raditz floated in the air, watching as Piccolo got washed to the ground by the Shine Ki attack, cutting a deep trench as he was dragged out of bounds.

The earth turned to scorched wasteland. The spectator stands were split in two by the fiery shockwaves, and the metal guardrails in the middle still glowed red-hot and shiny.

It was over... Raditz lost his Super Saiyan form and regained his black hair. Half his long hair floated in the air, and the wind couldn't match his aloof silhouette.

"Three moves! It really was three moves!" After a long silence, someone in the audience finally exclaimed.

"My God, he's too strong."

"Raditz keeps improving in battle - this kind of fighting talent..." Vegeta gritted his teeth secretly and clenched his fists again.

In fact, Raditz had always felt that like Kakarot, he had extremely high combat talent. But his previous development methods had been wrong, which led to his failure to fully awaken it. Once that talent was fully revealed, no one could stop it.

The cheers soared into the sky as the entire venue reached its biggest climax. Raditz, the sole winner, stood on the field and gave Goku and Zangya a thumbs up.

"Damn... Raditz." Piccolo had fallen into a deep crater in the ground, gasping for breath.

"Your Majesty, Great Demon King, it seems conquering the universe isn't so easy. You can't even beat me, let alone the stronger people in the universe." Raditz deliberately called Piccolo "Great Demon King," but Piccolo didn't respond. The corners of his mouth drooped as his face sank like an abyss.

Raditz continued: "I know a Master Roshi who can help fighters strengthen their abilities."

Piccolo was slightly startled, but still ignored Raditz. He stood up alone and walked to the sidelines without saying a word.

The victorious Raditz climbed onto the highest podium and came before Grand Kai.

Countless pairs of envious eyes stared at Raditz from below. Some wished they could drag Raditz down and stand there themselves, but when they thought of his terrifying strength, they had no choice but to abandon those thoughts and lament to themselves.

The Northern Galaxy cheering section roared themselves hoarse, as if cheering for the coronation of a new emperor.

"Hehehe, Raditz of Northern Galaxy won the championship. Er, let me see..." Grand Kai looked at Raditz's impressive skeleton frame and extraordinary appearance with amazement, flipping through a thick book with some guilt. "Regarding the rules of the martial arts tournament..."

Raditz knew that Grand Kai was afraid he'd want martial arts instruction, so he was trying every means to find loopholes in the rules to avoid it.

Who knew what was written in that book anyway? Only Grand Kai could read it, and he could decide the rules alone?

But Raditz hadn't stepped on any ceiling, and he hadn't gone out of bounds. Everyone who was eliminated had been defeated by strength - there would be no rule loopholes. Grand Kai had never flipped through a book so quickly in his entire life, sweeping the pages like a fan while sweating profusely.

Whether it was because Grand Kai didn't have real talent or just didn't want to work too hard was unclear.

"Lord Grand Kai, don't bother looking. I don't want martial arts instruction." Raditz leaned forward and whispered, "My request is very simple - I just want to meet a Kai."

Sure enough, as soon as he said those words, Grand Kai's eyes lit up as he was about to welch on his promise.

Meeting a Kai was easy - who was he? There wasn't a Kai in the four major galaxies that he didn't know. Whoever Raditz wanted to meet was fine, as long as he wasn't asked to give martial arts instruction.

"Ahem." Grand Kai closed the book and immediately said seriously, "I already made the promise. As long as the winner is victorious, anyone can make one request. Speak, Raditz."

Raditz still leaned close to Grand Kai and whispered:

"I want to see the Supreme Kai!"
