The glittering golden earrings dangled in front of Raditz. The style was absolutely unmistakable - it was the status symbol of Supreme Kai. But as far as Raditz knew, none of the Supreme Kais was such a little girl. Were there other Supreme Kais?
Suddenly, the little girl's loud voice came: "The time-and-space criminal! With how often you've been hopping around, it was only a matter of time before I caught you."
Criminal? She means me?
Just when Raditz was amazed, the girl came over, looked at him for a while, covered her mouth and exclaimed: "Who are you? Why do you have Supreme Kai earrings and a Time Ring?"
Raditz was stunned by the sudden question.
The other party's tone didn't sound like a Supreme Kai, but this girl is no doubt a Kai. And it seemed she was the one who intercepted Raditz from the time tunnel. If that was the case, she must be a big shot!
"Answer me quickly!" Seeing that Raditz didn't answer, the little girl urged with her hands on her hips.
The opponent was full of momentum - though small, she had a sense of majesty. Raditz decided to tell the truth:
"Little sister, I am the candidate Supreme Kai of the seventh universe. Because the Supreme Kai gave me a task, I temporarily gain access of the Supreme Kai to travel through time and space. Besides, I only used it a total of two or three times. Not too often, right?"
The girl immediately put her hands on her hips and put on a mature look: "You're the little sister! I've lived for over 75 million years!"
Raditz had tried to explain, but the little girl missed the point entirely.
He was about to sigh that no matter which world it was, it was so difficult to communicate with women, when suddenly hearing the number "75 million," Raditz trembled all over.
"over 75 million years?" Raditz was shocked by the unimaginably huge number.
Was this little girl actually ancient?
As if seeing Raditz's shock and confusion, the little girl smiled and said: "Don't be afraid. I am Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time, and I control all time and order, including the time of parallel universes." She hadn't expected to actually catch a trainee Supreme Kai - she'd thought it was a criminal messing with time, so she'd been happy for nothing. Seeing Raditz's blank face again, she couldn't help pouting. "Look at your stupid expression - you don't even know me. You're such a rookie."
The Supreme Kai of Time? Chronoa?
This topic was beyond the curriculum. Raditz was at a loss, and even he wasn't aware of Chronoa's existence.
"Do you know who made the Time Ring?"
Raditz was shocked: "Made?" Shouldn't this kind of ring appear automatically with the increase of timelines? Whenever there was one more parallel universe, a new one would be generated.
Could it be that the Time Ring was also made by Chronoa?!
Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time, noticed the flash of understanding in Raditz's eyes and said: "The formation of Time Rings requires mobilizing the power of time and space, and the source is in me. The ability to observe the future was given to them by me." Chronoa smiled proudly, as if it was all thanks to her.
"You said just now that you're the trainee Supreme Kai of the seventh universe?"
"Yes." Raditz hesitated for a moment before answering.
Chronoa circled around Raditz, her eyes examining him repeatedly. There was a hint of satisfaction on her face, and the grass rustled from being stepped on. The atmosphere was suddenly a little tense. Raditz had never known of the Supreme Kai of Time's existence and suddenly fell into the unknown, feeling somewhat uneasy.
And this little girl's gaze seemed a bit calculating. Had she taken a liking to him?
Would she keep him here on purpose, threatening him to follow her at the cost of not letting him return?
No no no, she was over 75 million years old - the age was inappropriate...
Raditz was thinking wildly when Chronoa woke him up with a statement: "Hey! You do know it's totally against the rules to mess with Supreme Kai tools when you're not one of them, right?"
"I know this, but I have temporary authority."
"It doesn't matter if you're temporarily acting as Supreme Kai, but you have to be accompanied by your Supreme Kai. Now you used the Time Ring alone to travel through time, and I have the right to sentence you for a serious crime! You must know that timelines are strictly forbidden to change. Once it causes a catastrophe, it may not be repairable. Even if you're a candidate Supreme Kai, you cannot be exempted from liability."
Raditz frowned: "Is it that serious?"
"Of course." Chronoa said with her hands behind her back. "The development of this world originally had only one main timeline, governed by the Omni-King, with the God of Destruction and Supreme Kai presiding over the overall situation - it was perfect." So far, she frowned suddenly. "But timelines are independent factors. Once the time axis is disordered, new worlds will be born. Some are just extensions of the old world, and some are completely different. Therefore, timelines are extremely complicated and difficult to manage. Some people will use time travel to commit crimes and endanger the universe..."
"All the time scrolls are stored in the Time Nest. I'm responsible for keeping them and making timely corrections. The workload is huge. Besides me, there are also a large number of Time Patrollers working. When timeline problems happen, they're responsible for erasing unreasonable spacetime information and restoring the original timeline."
Oh, so Raditz understood.
It turned out the world wasn't infinite. When time travel or external factors like big bangs and wormholes affected a fixed point on the time axis, the Supreme Kai of Time would judge the result and intervene if she felt it was unreasonable.
"I understand. Then it has nothing to do with me. I just observed the future and didn't do anything."
Chronoa smiled and raised her eyes: "I say it's related. Unless..." Her voice slowly elongated. "You do me a favor... then I don't care about it. Otherwise, without my permission, you can't go back!"
So they were waiting for me here. No wonder she threatened me while explaining the Time Patrollers' responsibilities so clearly - she probably wanted to make me run errands.
Raditz didn't know the Supreme Kai of Time's power yet, but he vaguely felt he might learn something here, so he asked: "How can I help you?"
"Recently, I encountered a difficult problem. There aren't enough Time Patrollers." Speaking of help, Chronoa blushed slightly. "Since you're here, and as a candidate Supreme Kai, you should be quite skilled."
"My skills aren't bad." Raditz was humble for once.
"That's perfect! Come in with me for some tea, and I'll explain in detail."
Chronoa turned around and walked into the house, pursing her lips and snickering. It was divine providence that Raditz came to her door when she was troubled about the incident.
Raditz looked around. The thin white halo behind him separated this place from the outside, as if they were two different spaces. He took a deep breath, as if walking into a new world, and followed Chronoa.
