Chapter 216 - Chapter 216: The Androids Make Their First Appearance

May 12th—another day that would linger in memory.

Raditz's heart suddenly trembled, and his premonition came true. The unease had always stemmed from the androids' disappearance. They'd vanished without a sound, and now they appeared again just as silently.

The time was still the same, as if they'd spun a roulette wheel and returned to the original point.

Over the past two years, Raditz had been sending people to trace the androids. Scientists had started with the magnetic field changes and studied massive amounts of data. Just when they were about to succeed, everything suddenly returned to normal.

So the whole trail went cold, and for a long time, no androids appeared. It seemed like just a natural phenomenon, appearing and disappearing suddenly. But Raditz had kept his guard up. Behind the whole incident, he'd always felt something was wrong.

So he'd left those scientists on Earth to continue searching for android traces, but they'd found nothing at all. He didn't realize their existence until the androids appeared today!

Was this some kind of joke? Raditz sneered, anger rising in his heart.

Whoosh—

In an instant, Raditz returned to Earth. "Tell me what's going on?"

"The two surveillance drones monitoring the southwestern island were just shot down by an unknown attack. One of them sent a video file showing two strange people firing energy blasts. But no one noticed those guys' energy signatures."

"Who the hell are they? Are they the same as what Jeice mentioned?" The irritated Vegeta stepped forward to question.

The originally joyful wedding suddenly became tense, and everyone fell into confusion.

Raditz had only taken about forty minutes for the round trip, but those waiting felt it had been much longer. When news from outside came, they grew even more uneasy.

Pairs of eyes stared at Raditz, expecting an answer.

"I'll explain later. Let's go stop them first." Raditz looked at Launch and Tien. "I'm sorry—it was such a beautiful wedding, but something like this happened."

Tien said solemnly, "Earth's safety is most important. I want to go too!"

"Count me in! If they dare ruin my wedding, I'll blow them up!"

As Launch spoke, she slowly floated into the air. She'd picked up two submachine guns from somewhere, more eager to charge than anyone else.

Tien smiled. Launch had been taught by him—his first student at the dojo was his wife.

"For safety's sake, you stay here. Gohan, you stay too and protect your mom and Aunt Bulma. Everyone else, let's go together."

After saying that, Raditz flew into the sky, located the dense population of South City, and teleported there.

Others followed and arrived one after another.

"Follow me, to the southwest!" Seeing everyone had arrived, Raditz raced toward where the androids had appeared.

Along the way, Raditz quickly explained.

"Jeice reported that metal mechanical monsters appeared in the universe. They're invading planets and continuing to expand. That's caused by an alien civilization. But the crisis on Earth should be from Dr. Gero, one of the remnants of the former Red Ribbon Army."

"The Red Ribbon Army—that was a long time ago. I remember defeating them all," Goku recalled the scene.

"Yes, but their scientist Dr. Gero is still alive and has been secretly conducting research. He wants to defeat you and continue conquering the world. So he's studied powerful creatures called androids!"

As soon as those words fell, everyone stopped. More than twenty people were suspended in the air, seeing two strange figures causing havoc on the street. Android 19 and Android 20—one was bloated, wearing tacky pants and vest with a pointed head; the other wore a high hat, full of white hair, with old-fashioned clothes and an aged face.

"Are those the androids?!"

"That's right. Don't let their weird looks fool you—they're very powerful. And be careful of their palms—they absorb energy."

"Absorb energy? Just like that guy on Planet Tumat." Vegeta snorted in disgust, extremely disgusted with those who could absorb energy, having suffered losses before.

After that, Vegeta showed disdain and rushed down, his fighting power suddenly revealing itself.

The detectors of Androids 19 and 20 below alarmed simultaneously—"beep beep"—the continuous sound making them suddenly look up to see Vegeta falling from the sky!

"Vegeta?!"

Vegeta's sudden appearance shocked Androids 19 and 20, stunning them momentarily.

Immediately after, alarms sounded repeatedly as people kept flying down from the sky. The already panicked passersby ran wildly along the street, screams and car horns heard endlessly.

The androids' eyeballs turned slightly, looking around.

"Everyone who should come has come. Didn't you all know we would appear here?" Android 19 was still in shock while Android 20 spoke calmly, composed.

"Stop talking nonsense, scrap metal!"

Vegeta didn't pay attention to their questioning and just attacked directly. In his logic, if people were long-winded, he had to defeat them.

Vegeta's sudden eruption ignited golden aura, showing tremendous fighting power all at once, giving no chance at all.

The eyes of Androids 19 and 20 couldn't catch Vegeta's figure, and their reactions couldn't keep up with his speed!

"Bang! Bang!"

Both sounds came out almost simultaneously as Vegeta's golden flame slipped between 19 and 20 like lightning. The two androids' bodies retreated several meters under inertia, and there were two complete mechanical arms flying through the air!

"Hmph, use your hands to absorb energy? Useless!" Vegeta appeared in front of them again the next second, his overwhelming force making Android 20's face change drastically, losing his previous composure.

"Hey, Vegeta, you're being too sneaky," Goku protested. "They're looking for me!"

"Haha, they actually started fighting already."

Originally thinking the androids were such powerful characters, when they arrived at the scene, they realized it was nothing special at all. Everyone relaxed. Nervous frowns turned into laughter.

The mechanical arms fell to the ground with heavy thuds, but Vegeta exited his Super Saiyan state, turned around and walked away without interest. "These guys are too weak—I don't need to take action at all. Kakarot, they're yours if you want them."

Too weak?

The faces of 19 and 20 were dumbfounded. They'd been planning to make a scene, and the power in their calculations was far beyond ordinary human limits, but that blow just now made them feel despair.

The air was still trembling, their broken arms still buzzing, lubricating oil flowing from the broken circulation pipes...

What was even more infuriating was that these guys were laughing wildly—what a joke!

Android 20's old face suddenly darkened.
