Everyone was laughing, but the androids weren't so happy.
Vegeta's golden transformation had taken them by surprise, his strength increasing countless times in an instant. The overwhelming power made Android 20 start to panic. With so many eager people around him ready to make a move, he felt like he'd fallen into a pack of wolves.
Goku looked even more relaxed, as if he didn't take them seriously at all. Android 20 looked at his broken arm, his eyes darting around as he considered whether to retreat first.
This was an island surrounded by vast seas, so it wouldn't be easy to hide. Although androids had no energy signature, if they flew out rashly, they'd be caught easily. The cautious Android 20 didn't dare act recklessly, looking around with wary eyes for gaps in their encirclement.
"Alright, don't waste time. You can't escape." Raditz saw through Android 20's thoughts and stepped forward. "You're Dr. Gero, and you transformed yourself into an android for eternal life."
"Raditz, don't talk nonsense. I'm Android 20. Dr. Gero is dead."
"There's no need to lie—I know everything. I have my way to see the future. It's because of this that your existence was discovered."
Raditz spoke half-truths, addressing everyone's doubts along with his reason for exposing Dr. Gero.
He had indeed been to the future, but it was the future of another world.
Hearing these words, everyone showed looks of "so that's how it is," but Dr. Gero said disdainfully, "You really do know everything. So your trip wasn't a waste after all, Raditz. Tell me—was there anything you didn't find in my laboratory?"
Raditz's eyes went cold, and he didn't respond. Tumat, perched on his shoulder, was trembling.
"There are surveillance devices still running in my abandoned research facility, and I can see your actions. I believe you did get information from somewhere and sent foolish scientists to search me. Unfortunately, everything fell within my calculations."
Gero talked about his scientific talent, getting carried away like a flood. People like him had extreme conceit and arrogance in science and technology. The Tumat were already considered outstanding scientists in the universe, but he actually used "foolish" to describe them.
His choice of words was very unpleasant. Both Raditz and Vegeta showed disgusted looks—the word "calculations" was very similar to the typical phrases of a certain bastard intelligent life form from before.
"I honestly can't tell if you're a genius or an idiot," Raditz said, shaking his head.
"Dr. Gero, you've planned so much, done all these calculations... but your strength doesn't even compare to ours. So what's the point?"
He stepped forward, voice sharp. "Now answer me—why did you move your lab? Have you activated other androids? And where is Cell?"
Three questions in a row, each very important. Androids 19 and 20 here might just be the beginning—the biggest threat hadn't appeared yet. Moreover, there was another question buried in Raditz's heart: wasn't the timing of Big Gete Star's appearance in the distant universe too coincidental?
Gero's face grew uglier. He and Raditz locked eyes, sweat dripping from under his hat...
Raditz's gaze became sharper as he said indifferently, "Answer me, or I'll kill you."
"Hehehe, answering is also a dead end." Dr. Gero seemed to have made up his mind and sneered. "Raditz, I didn't expect you to be so powerful. The evolution speed of Saiyans is truly amazing. But you can't defeat my ultimate android!"
Dr. Gero was determined not to speak. A man like him couldn't have his mouth pried open by persuasion alone.
"What nonsense—just kill him." Vegeta lost his patience and stepped forward, condensing an energy wave in his hand and suddenly launching it.
"Hey, don't use energy attacks!"
Raditz's reminder came too late. In his impatience, Vegeta had forgotten the warning and rushed toward Android 20 with a blast containing huge energy. Surprised, Androids 19 and 20 stretched out their hands together, the absorbing devices in their palms quickly swallowing the energy.
The embarrassed duo opened their eyes wide, suddenly refreshed!
"Hahahaha, thank you very much." Android 20 absorbed the energy and suddenly felt his strength soar, even grasping a glimmer of hope for survival. His eyes gleamed as he swept the crowd with fierce light, then dragged his disabled body and rushed away!
"Hey!" Raditz yelled, his body still motionless as he blocked Gero's eye lasers with just his strength and mental power. The rumbling explosion shook the air. Although the surrounding area had been destroyed by the androids, only a few roads were cut off with no large buildings destroyed. Instead, the road was smashed to pieces by that last blow.
As Raditz intercepted the laser beam, Nappa, who was closest to the androids, had reacted in time and launched pursuit. Goku and Vegeta then chased the two androids through clouds and blue sky.
"Tch, Kakarot, don't steal my fight!" Vegeta snorted angrily. "These android puppets dare to use me—they've provoked me!"
"Who told you to be careless just now? It's not good to let them escape," Goku wasn't backing down.
"Every one of them is unbearable." Vegeta said coldly, bursting with strong aura.
The others immediately followed the lead of their seniors and rushed straight after them.
"Hey, if there's a fight later, leave that fat guy to me!"
"No way, Pepara, I won't let you have him this time!"
"Hmph, whoever flies faster gets him! And don't cheat with instant transmission!" Pepara set her own rules, accelerated suddenly, and a series of sonic booms erupted in the air.
Even faster, a figure behind Pepara passed her, chasing Goku and Vegeta. Those behind couldn't help but be amazed, watching the light streaking ahead disappear into the distance, shocked in their hearts: "Raditz is so fast!"
Raditz was unbelievably fast, coming from behind to catch up, his figure reaching Goku in an instant with a tendency to surpass him.
Suddenly, they all stopped. The three saw from a distance that Nappa had already caught up with the androids and hit their backs with both fists. They could see with the naked eye two straight lines falling from sky to ground.
"Nappa beat us to it," Vegeta snorted coldly and landed quickly.
"Leave those two guys to him. It seems he really wants to show his strength."
"Hmph, just don't embarrass himself."
Brothers Raditz and Goku crossed their arms, Vegeta folded his arms, landing on the wasteland to watch quietly as the rest caught up. Not far away, Nappa faced two androids with menacing aura.
"This guy... Nappa, according to our data, his combat power is far below Vegeta's," Android 19 got up and stood with Gero.
"That's right." Gero looked Nappa up and down. "And he has no hair, so he shouldn't be able to transform into that golden flame state. It seems the others don't plan to intervene. That's great—maybe there's a chance to absorb all his energy..."
"Go!" Gero shouted and rushed toward the tall Nappa.
"Come on!" Nappa scowled, moved his feet outward, and shouted with clenched fists! The atmosphere shook, the ground trembled, crackling explosions accompanied by electric sparks appeared around Nappa.
His beard was changing between black and gold, his aura and energy beating endlessly as majestic power surged from his heels straight to the sky!
"BOOM!"
Everyone was shocked.
Nappa had transformed—he'd also become a Super Saiyan! Scorching golden flames covered his whole body, and his beard stood up in golden patches. This was undoubtedly a genuine Super Saiyan.
Gero, who'd been charging, was so frightened he "plopped" and fell, his tall hat rolling to the ground.
Who says you can't go Super Saiyan without hair?
