The crisis on Earth had been resolved, and the Demon Star menacing GJL Headquarters was obliterated under the command of Trunks and Tarble. Across the cosmos, peace was slowly returning to the starry skies. Yet, in one corner of the universe, a furious battle still raged on.
This was the battlefield of Raditz and the demonically empowered Bojack.
Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time, warped through space and time, arriving in Raditz's last known location. Her expression shifted instantly from concern to sheer disbelief, her eyes widening. What she witnessed was not a mere battle—it was a war among the stars.
The fighting had long since spilled out from the vicinity of the Saiyan Homeworld, engulfing an entire galaxy. Flashes of golden light streaked through the void as Vegeta and Goku weaved and spiraled between planets. A silent, magnificent explosion sent ripples through the vacuum, obliterating several worlds in a single, devastating moment.
Whenever Raditz tried to advance on Bojack, Zangya would appear to block his path. Bojack's strategy was painfully clear: use Zangya to neutralize Raditz, leaving him free to deal with the others. In his current state, Bojack feared no one but the Saiyan leader. Even Goku and Vegeta were no match for him.
Super Saiyan 2 figures flickered in and out of existence, clashing with Bojack again and again. The shockwaves of their blows pulverized asteroids and shattered moons, the terrifying force rippling outward until the very fabric of space began to buckle and fold.
Goku landed a solid punch, his fist crashing against Bojack's unnaturally hard body. An invisible shockwave rippled across the point of impact. Bojack trembled for a moment, demonic energy flaring before he unleashed a powerful burst of ki that sent Goku flying. Without pause, Bojack rocketed forward, slamming into Goku with his entire body. Transformed by the Demon Realm's power, his flesh was as hard as steel, reflecting the cold starlight. Shrouded in a black mist, he trailed a tail of fire like a malevolent meteor.
Goku was consistently outmatched in these physical exchanges, and this time was no different. He coughed up blood as he was hurled backward, his chest and left shoulder already bruised and swollen from the impact.
Raditz teleported behind Bojack, prepared to strike. But just as he materialized, Zangya appeared with him, as if tethered to the tyrant, intercepting the attack. Raditz froze, his leg halting a mere inch from Zangya's face, the force of the aborted kick stirring the air around her.
Zangya, however, showed no such hesitation. She thrust her palm forward, launching a vicious ki blast at point-blank range.
Her face was a mask of agony, dark veins bulging across her skin—a sight both terrifying and pitiful. Raditz's heart ached. He effortlessly deflected her blast and enveloped her in a psychic hold, immobilizing her.
The moment she was restrained, Zangya began to tremble violently. Her expression twisted into a ferocious snarl, her joints popping as she struggled against the invisible bonds. It was as if her very soul was trying to tear itself free from her corrupted body. Hot tears streamed from her eyes as she gasped silently, her body convulsing. In her torment, she began to claw at her own clothes and rip at her hair.
Her spirit hadn't truly fallen. Raditz realized Zangya was still fighting the demon within her. Her will had not been completely extinguished, and his psychic connection was fanning the last embers of her true self back to life.
"Zangya, listen to me! Fight it!" Raditz pleaded through their telepathic link, his own heart heavy with anguish. "Push back against the darkness. I'll help you!"
Inside the crystalline prison of psychic energy, the chaos of the battle outside seemed to fade away. Raditz focused all his effort on calming Zangya, desperate to purge the demonic influence.
Meanwhile, Bojack launched a frenzied assault, unleashing volley after volley of powerful energy blasts that illuminated the starry void. The dazzling light was so intense it seemed to make the universe itself tremble. Even the other Super Saiyans had to shield their eyes and fall back from the sheer force of the shockwaves. The barrage was so relentless it even slowed down Vegeta and Goku.
Sensing an opportunity, the deadly tyrant turned his attention to Raditz, believing him to be preoccupied with Zangya. A black, demonic mist billowed around him as he channeled all his power, lunging at Raditz with a fist crackling with dark lightning.
"Begone."
Raditz's eyes flashed with cold fury. Without moving a muscle, he unleashed a pulse of invisible force that erupted from his body. The energy slammed into Bojack, exploding his fist in a shower of gore and demonic ki. The tyrant was sent hurtling backward through space, tumbling end over end.
The sheer arrogance of Bojack to attack him now, while he was trying to save one of his own, ignited a deeper rage in Raditz. This transgression was unforgivable. Utterly unforgivable.
A command suddenly echoed in the minds of every Saiyan on the battlefield: "Everyone, use the Fusion Technique! Eliminate him now!"
Of course. The Fusion Dance. It was the first time they would use the technique they had honed for so long in true combat, and a surge of excitement ran through them. Only a monster of Bojack's caliber could warrant such a trump card.
The warriors quickly found their partners, syncing their power levels and beginning the strange, symmetrical dance in the vacuum of space. With the exception of Goku and Vegeta, several pairs of Saiyans moved in perfect unison.
Bojack, having just righted himself, watched in horror. He couldn't believe Raditz had nearly crippled him with just a glare. The gap in their power was absolute; not even the borrowed might of the Demon Realm could bridge it. For the first time, a sliver of sanity pierced through his rage-fueled confidence. He had to escape, grow stronger, and fight another day.
But it was too late. He saw pairs of golden auras converge, each pair merging into a single, brilliant point of light. A terrifying pressure washed over him, crushing asteroids to dust as an immense wave of dangerous energy surged through the galaxy, locking onto him.
The Saiyans' appearances… had changed. Bojack stared as the newly formed warriors emerged from the light, each now clad in the distinctive Metamoran vest, their chests bare. His face paled as he felt the overwhelming killing intent radiating from them.
Space itself trembled. Just as Bojack turned to flee, one of the newly born warriors appeared directly in his path. The power radiating from this fused Saiyan already surpassed that of Goku and Vegeta, nearing the absolute peak of a Super Saiyan 2.
"No… it's impossible…" Bojack screamed in his mind, stumbling backward only to find another fused warrior blocking his retreat. In an instant, he was surrounded. They moved with phantom-like speed, cutting off every possible escape route.
The assault was instantaneous and unrelenting. A hurricane of blows tore at Bojack's skin. Iron-hard fists and bone-shattering kicks rained down on him from all directions, the force of the impacts making him retch uncontrollably. He couldn't track their movements, let alone defend himself. All Bojack could do was endure the beating as his muscles were pulped, his bones buckled, and he coughed up mouthful after mouthful of his own blood.
Then came the energy blasts. Waves of brilliant yellow and blue ki slammed into him, scorching his flesh and scouring away the demonic aura that clung to him. Beams of light, thousands of meters long, engulfed his body time and again, searing through every cell.
Bojack, his consciousness fading and his body all but disintegrated, dazedly perceived the fused warriors parting to clear a path. Through the haze of pain, he saw Raditz approaching, now cradling an unconscious Zangya in his arms. The moment his gaze met Raditz's icy stare, a primal fear seized him, but his broken body was completely unresponsive.
Raditz gently handed Zangya over to Angila, who had appeared at his side. Then, he turned and marched toward Bojack. In a flash of movement, he was before the battered tyrant, his palm closing over Bojack's head. A moment later, a brilliant streak of rainbow-colored light tore across the starry sky.
Raditz dragged Bojack at impossible speeds, smashing him through several planets in their path. They flew through the heart of stellar explosions and core energies, a comet of destruction seemingly aimed at the center of the universe itself. All the while, Bojack's body was mangled beyond recognition.
A cold voice echoed in what was left of Bojack's mind. "You deserve to die ten thousand deaths."
Bojack felt a searing heat build inside his skull—it was Raditz's energy, burning him from the inside out. Raditz, having endured Bojack's defilement of his comrade, was finally ready to end it. A ball of blinding light erupted from his hand, flooding Bojack's body.
The resulting explosion was immense, a colossal wave of energy that tore through the cosmos. For a fleeting instant, those watching saw the unmistakable silhouette of the Destroyer Nova—a terrifying and beautiful miracle of destruction.
