Chapter 439 - Chapter 439: The Golden Great Ape

Realm of the Gods of Destruction

Champa and Vados observed the unfolding situation in the mortal realm through her angelic scepter, the crystalline sphere displaying a golden figure that was unmistakably Raditz.

Raditz in Super Saiyan 3 form and Baby—inhabiting Broly's legendary body—clashed in a fierce, devastating battle that tore through the fabric of space itself.

"So, can Raditz defeat him?" Champa asked casually while munching on exotic fruits from his personal collection.

"The two appear relatively equal in strength thus far," Vados replied with her characteristic smile, "though Baby maintains a certain tactical advantage."

Champa's eyes widened in surprise, nearly dropping his fruit. "That parasite creature is actually superior to Raditz?"

"It will become quite dangerous if Raditz doesn't employ his Super Saiyan God state soon."

"Then why isn't he—" Champa's words died mid-sentence. Through the viewing sphere, he watched as Raditz and Baby collided together once more, then Raditz grabbed Baby and teleported both combatants to yet another new planet in a completely different star system.

Champa frowned suspiciously, resting his chin on one hand as he pondered deeply. What was Raditz's strategy? Vados chuckled softly beside him, as though she'd already discerned Raditz's true intentions.

"10x KAMEHAMEHA—!!!"

The thunderous declaration accompanied a brilliant azure energy wave. Raditz unleashed devastating power through the air—the attack like a radiant spear piercing through reality itself, stabbing directly toward Baby.

Baby's eyes went wide. He thrust his palm forward, and terrifying energy rapidly gathered in his outstretched hand before blasting forward at incredible velocity. The massive beam collided with the Kamehameha in a titanic clash, like two incomprehensibly powerful currents smashing into each other. Space itself trembled from the impact, and the spreading shockwaves had already begun shattering surrounding celestial bodies.

At that critical moment, Raditz's eyes narrowed with focus. He vanished via Instant Transmission and materialized directly in front of Baby, pressing one hand firmly against the possessed Saiyan's abdomen before releasing another devastating ki wave at point-blank range.

Baby had been completely focused on the beam struggle, forgetting that Raditz still possessed Instant Transmission as a tactical option. His expression transformed with horrified realization, but it was far too late to defend.

BOOOOM!

The majestic explosion severed the entire planet in half yet again. The seemingly modest energy sphere contained unimaginable destructive power—the rumbling reverberation echoing endlessly like the death cry of a dying world. Terrifying pressure waves surged outward as thick smoke filled the void, so dense it resembled an approaching abyss of darkness.

Raditz's surprise attack had connected perfectly, yet he felt no satisfaction. His divine senses detected that Baby's ki hadn't weakened in the slightest—if anything, it had stabilized.

A figure slowly emerged from the thick smoke screen.

Baby appeared utterly calm, a confident smile playing across his lips.

Indeed, Raditz's Super Saiyan 3 transformation was powerful enough to fight him relatively evenly. But Baby was discovering something crucial—he grew stronger and more energized as the battle progressed, while Raditz's power gradually diminished. There existed a fundamental gap between the physical burden of maintaining Super Saiyan 3 and the perfected biology of a Legendary Super Saiyan body.

"What's wrong with you, Raditz? Is this pathetic performance really all you can manage?" Baby sneered arrogantly, his face radiating premature victory. So what if you're a god? he thought triumphantly. I can still defeat divine power!

"Hmph. I've simply been testing something I needed to confirm. Otherwise, I would have already pinned you to the ground," Raditz replied coolly, wiping sweat from his brow. He quickly consumed a Senzu Bean, instantly recovering his depleted physical stamina. "Baby, remember there's always a sky beyond the sky. Don't delude yourself into thinking you've already achieved invincibility."

"Still making excuses even now? Watch as I obliterate you completely!" Baby's blood-red eyes flashed with murderous intent. With a ferocious roar, he suddenly tensed all his muscles and launched forward like concentrated light itself.

Baby's current strength was genuinely formidable, and Raditz had no intention of engaging in direct slugfests. Instead, he held his breath and concentrated completely on sensing the flow of ki signatures around him.

Raditz keenly perceived Baby's attack trajectory and dodged sideways with minimal movement, taking advantage of the opening to grapple Baby once more in an iron grip.

Employing the same tactic repeatedly, Raditz held Baby tightly and transported him via consecutive Instant Transmission jumps to different planets across the cosmos. The two warriors collided together on planetary surfaces again and again—this repeated crashing strategy making Baby howl with frustrated rage.

"Perfect! This is the one!" Suddenly, Raditz ceased teleporting and released his grip on Baby completely.

The suspicious Baby immediately threw a backhand strike, but Raditz crossed both arms defensively to block it. Even so, the force sent Raditz sliding backward continuously, his feet carving a broken trench deep into the alien soil.

"What exactly is your strategy here?" Baby demanded, genuinely confused by Raditz's seemingly random planet-hopping.

"Look up," Raditz said with a knowing smile, lifting his chin toward the heavens. "What a beautiful moon."

A perfectly round moon hung reflected in his eyes—like polished jade, a full moon radiating infinite brilliance across the night sky.

He had been systematically searching for a full moon! Taking Baby on this chaotic journey through multiple star systems had served a singular purpose—finding a planet where he could witness a full moon!

THUMP! Thump-thump! THUMP-THUMP-THUMP!

Raditz's heartbeat accelerated dramatically. His eyes became vacant and unfocused, his facial features growing feral and bestial. Fangs protruded from his mouth as thick hair began sprouting across his entire body.

"You... what?!" Baby stammered in shock. What's happening?! Just looking at the moon causes this transformation?!

Raditz's blood rushed violently throughout his circulatory system. His face turned pale yet simultaneously displayed savage joy. His body began swelling exponentially—his relatively normal frame expanding explosively until he towered forty meters in height, completely covered in fur.

Golden fur. A golden Great Ape.

"Hey, Vados! Look, look! Raditz has transformed into a Great Ape!" Champa exclaimed upon witnessing the spectacular transformation.

"But..." Champa's expression shifted to confusion. "Raditz would have won easily if he'd simply used Super Saiyan God form. Why transform into a gorilla instead? What's he thinking?"

Vados pressed her slender fingers delicately against her lips, her smile becoming more playful and knowing. "The Saiyans from the Seventh Universe possess the ability to dramatically increase their power by transforming into Great Apes. It seems Raditz has found an unexpected application for this ancient technique."

"Huh? But why haven't I ever seen Saiyans in our universe transform into Great Apes?"

"Hehe, that's because the Saiyans in our Sixth Universe no longer possess tails. The conditions for Great Ape transformation are quite specific—one requires both a tail and exposure to Blutz Waves from a full moon, which are the reflected light wavelengths from stars."

Champa stared at the golden colossus displayed in the viewing sphere. "He does look incredibly powerful now. Wait..." Sudden understanding dawned across the God of Destruction's features. "Did Raditz plan this from the very beginning?!"

He finally comprehended Raditz's true strategy! No wonder the Saiyan god kept teleporting to different planets and deliberately crashing around seemingly at random—it was all for this! Raditz had been systematically searching for a planet with a visible full moon!

"But I still don't understand why Raditz insists on using this particular method to achieve victory rather than his divine form."

"I'm not entirely certain of his reasoning either. However..." Vados's eyes narrowed thoughtfully. "I should mention that the parasitic entity called Baby doesn't actually originate from our universe."

"What?!" Champa's attention snapped fully toward her.

"Someone deliberately transported this creature from another timeline or parallel dimension," Vados explained calmly. "The Tuffles in our universe did indeed suffer a catastrophic disaster and prepared for revenge, yes. But this particular parasitic entity—this 'Baby'—doesn't exist in our natural timeline. His dimensional signature indicates origin from an alternate parallel space-time."

"Someone deliberately released this monster into my universe?!" Champa's face darkened with fury, his teeth baring in an aggressive snarl. "How dare they interfere with the Sixth Universe! Was it Beerus?! That bastard brother of mine!"

"That's impossible—such actions violate fundamental divine law! Lord Beerus would never commit such a transgression," Vados replied with gentle amusement at Champa's paranoid accusation.

"Then who would dare?!"

"Whoever the culprit may be, their ultimate purpose cannot be simple or benign."

Champa's expression turned ruthless, his divine aura flickering with barely suppressed rage. "If I catch whoever's responsible, I'll destroy them personally!"

Vados smiled knowingly but said nothing, instead turning her gaze back toward the viewing sphere—specifically toward Raditz, who had now completed his transformation into the legendary Golden Great Ape.
