Violent hurricanes roared across the landscape, blowing billowing clouds of smoke and pulverized debris into the endless distance, making Baby's silver-white hair whip wildly about his face.
"Hmph! What did I think you'd transform into? Just an irrational monster after all!" Baby stood proudly amid the storm, laughing with vicious contempt. "A wild monkey is still just a wild monkey, regardless of its color!"
Disdain aside, Baby remained cautious of the Great Ape Raditz's terrifying power—that berserk aura could seep into the depths of one's very soul, triggering primal fear.
The Golden Great Ape represented a transitional state preceding the legendary Super Saiyan 4 transformation. If the transformed Saiyan could regain rational control while maintaining this power, they would ascend to Super Saiyan 4. Raditz had attempted the transformation several times initially, but consistently gave up after turning into an ordinary brown Great Ape every full moon he encountered.
In his assessment, Super Saiyan 4 existed only as a mythical form—perhaps real only in alternate parallel timelines. But then he'd actually seen Baby! And if Baby existed here, that meant Super Saiyan 4 was genuinely achievable in this reality! Raditz had felt the same exhilaration upon encountering Baby as Baby himself had felt when acquiring Broly's legendary body.
Throughout his transformation experimentation history, Raditz already possessed the fundamental requirement—his tail, which he'd been unwilling to remove despite suggestions from others. But what factor prevented him from achieving anything beyond an ordinary Great Ape? Did the Golden Great Ape specifically require a golden Super Saiyan base form?
The revelation had struck Raditz like lightning: transform into a Great Ape while already in Super Saiyan form! Yes—since it was called the Golden Great Ape, he needed to use his Super Saiyan 3 state as the transformation foundation!
The moment the full moon's Blutz Waves took effect, Raditz felt surging power unlike anything before, and he knew immediately that his experimental attempt had succeeded.
After transforming into the Great Ape, Raditz's strength increased exponentially. He rampaged destructively as though completely irrational—dashing, swooping, blasting energy with seemingly arbitrary abandon. Yet the explosive power output was sufficient to send chills through Baby's stolen heart.
As a flying combatant, Baby became the primary target of Raditz's aggressive assault.

The Golden Great Ape's enormous power hammered Baby downward repeatedly. The lethality proved frightening—even wounding Baby's supposedly indestructible Legendary body with a single devastating punch. Immediately afterward, massive stomping strikes rained down, broken rock fragments spraying upward as enormous craters were gouged from the planetary surface.
Seeing Raditz charging toward him again at high velocity, Baby actually panicked. He gritted his teeth and created distance, circling around the golden colossus with agile movements like an annoying fly, refusing to engage in direct confrontation anymore.
Suddenly, Baby's eyes lit up with malicious inspiration, a sinister smile spreading across his features. "Your Great Ape transformation is indeed powerful, but you're ultimately mindless! This merely extends your lifespan by a few pitiful minutes!"
He launched several disc-shaped energy projectiles that scattered strategically through the air.
His target: the tail—the critical weakness maintaining Raditz's transformation.
The disc-shaped cutting attacks flew toward the vulnerable appendage, spinning like miniature deadly galaxies. The fierce emerald light prepared to slice downward with surgical precision.
At the critical instant, the Great Ape jumped.
Have you ever witnessed something as massive as a mountain leaping tens—even hundreds—of meters into the air instantaneously? Baby witnessed it now, and the speed was so tremendous his eyeballs barely had time to track the movement.
As though the Golden Great Ape possessed eyes on the back of its head, it flexibly avoided Baby's cutting attacks with impossible agility.
"Almost, Baby. Unfortunately, my consciousness wasn't completely overwhelmed by bestial instinct. How disappointing for you." Raditz's cold voice emerged from the gaping simian mouth, carrying undertones of wildness yet radiating complete majesty and control.
The Great Ape state typically resulted in complete loss of rationality—but this wasn't absolute. Elite warriors like Vegeta could maintain conscious control through sheer willpower, and pure-hearted Saiyans like Gohan could be awakened by external emotional stimuli. Raditz relied on his exceptional psychic discipline and powerful self-awareness to maintain a clear, rational mind.
Aside from the initial moment when transformation first overwhelmed him with intoxicating strength, Raditz had maintained complete conscious control throughout.
Baby recoiled in shock. The damned Golden Great Ape retained full rationality! And possessed crystal-clear strategic thinking!
Rage swelling in his chest like a physical mass, Baby expelled it explosively in one breath, furiously firing a Revenge Death Ball—a massive sphere of negative energy crackling with crimson lightning. The attack blazed forward like water pouring from a broken dam.
Baby's ultimate attack was effortlessly countered by the Great Ape. A colossal energy beam erupted from Raditz's mouth—more than three times the diameter of Baby's Revenge Death Ball, like a heaven-supporting pillar crushing the negative energy completely before slamming directly into Baby and carving through the ground beyond!
The planet shuddered violently. Continuous explosions detonated across the surface as the world began fragmenting into drifting pieces once more.
Baby lay sprawled on his back against the scorched earth, gazing upward at Raditz's titanic figure suspended in the heavens. The Golden Great Ape began emitting dazzling radiance—as though gathering all ambient light in the universe into a singular point, so brilliant Baby couldn't keep his eyes open.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" The Golden Great Ape released all accumulated emotions in one earth-shattering roar.
The world-shaking cry attracted lightning bolts that connected heaven and earth, accompanied by audible shattering of spatial dimensions. The planet had begun complete disintegration, and with the reverberating echoes of Raditz's luminous transformation, the starry void and planetary surface began gradually separating.
"AAAAHHH!" With one final prolonged cry, Raditz's massive form began shrinking, gradually condensing into humanoid appearance!
He had truly transformed—his pupils blazed golden while the eye sockets glowed crimson red. His entire body was covered with distinctive crimson fur, while rigid black hair grew long, dragging down to his ankles with portions draping over his shoulders like a wild mane.
No longer in Golden Great Ape form, yet his power was concentrated into something far more pure and terrifying!
This was Super Saiyan 4!
"Baby... you're finished." A single quiet statement shocked the spatial fabric itself. The disintegrating planet stopped collapsing—his tremendous energy output actually reversing the gravitational breakdown through sheer presence.
Baby's face turned ashen gray, crimson eyes harboring trembling, existential fear...
Realm of the Gods of Destruction
"HE... HE TRANSFORMED!" Champa, observing from the distant Realm of Destruction, shouted in surprised delight, clapping his hands enthusiastically.
After watching for so long, he'd finally witnessed the anticipated culmination—Raditz's ultimate transformation.
So that's why he was searching for the moon and transforming into a Great Ape! Champa realized. He wanted to achieve a form I've never encountered before!
The overwhelming pressure emanating from this state spread throughout the universe itself—as though threatening to penetrate through the viewing screen and seep directly into the Realm of Destruction. Raditz resembled a cosmic bomb at this moment, capable of alarming the entire universe with his mere existence.
Across the Universe
Those who had evacuated from Planet Sadala also sensed the colossal pressure spreading across impossible distances—as vast as an entire galaxy, boundless and infinite in scope.
"Mom... is that Dad's ki?" Rukon asked, his heart thundering with shock. "It's... it's overwhelmingly powerful."
"That's definitely his ki signature," Zangya confirmed, though her voice carried stunned disbelief. "I've just... never felt ki this intense before. It's difficult to—indescribable, really." Her face had gone pale with amazement.
Even Hit, in the distant reaches of space, felt his eye twitch involuntarily. He couldn't help but turn his gaze toward Raditz's direction, murmuring with a mixture of respect and anticipation: "Is that truly you, Raditz?"
Raditz's astonishing aura rippled throughout the entire Sixth Universe, announcing the birth of a legend...
