Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: Finally Understood Why Azazel Fell

After finishing his discussion with Sirzechs and the others, Takumi moved to the next phase.

Sirzechs would help summon certain Sacred Gear holders so Takumi could copy their powers. As for the rest, those unknown or out of reach, Takumi would handle them himself. Apart from those Serafall was tasked to find, the rest were Takumi's responsibility.

The Sacred Gear wielders were scattered across various factions. That meant Takumi would need to travel all over this world.

First, he requested a map of this world's factional territories from Sirzechs. His first destination: Heaven.

He wanted to copy all of their Sacred Gears first.

Truth be told, Takumi was very curious about angels—especially Gabriel.

Back when he watched anime, even a simple black-and-white illustration of her was enough to leave a deep impression.

So now that he was here, of course he had to go see her for real.

After confirming plans with Sirzechs, the matter was settled.

Since Sirzechs wanted to build goodwill with him, Takumi didn't mind cooperating. Who knows—maybe he'd return to this world again someday.

With so many mythological beings here, they might come in handy eventually.

If ever he needed, say, the power of a certain god... he'd just pop over and grab them.

Takumi believed they'd gladly cooperate.

Sirzechs probably had no idea that Takumi already saw this world as his own personal farm.

One day, when he needed someone specific, he'd just come collect them.

For now, he'd focus on copying Sacred Gears. Then he'd visit the EXE world, and his mission would be complete.

Takumi wasn't leaving empty-handed.

Since he'd come all this way, he had to bring back some spoils.

Traveling between worlds didn't cost him points—Juna covered it.

He only came to help in a battle. Now that the fight was over, it was time to reap some benefits.

Sacred Gears. EXE. Takumi wanted them all.

Sirzechs and his team went off to make preparations.

After seeing them off, Takumi turned to Kaguya.

"What are your plans? Going home or hanging out here?"

He was about to get busy—no time to babysit.

Kaguya didn't care much.

"I'll stay here and play with Koneko."

"You go do your thing. I finally got a chance to come out—I'm not heading back so soon."

She had no intention of leaving early. She'd stay a while.

Takumi could do what he needed. She'd enjoy herself.

When he finished, she'd return with him.

Besides, she was curious—just what kind of chaos would Takumi stir up next?

Seeing that she didn't plan to return, Takumi didn't argue.

"Alright then."

"Have fun. I'm heading out."

"Ping me in the group if anything comes up."

And with that, Takumi vanished.

After he left, Kaguya couldn't help but click her tongue.

"Let's just hope that guy doesn't cause too much trouble."

"He really doesn't seem like the quiet type."

Juna's expression twitched slightly.

"Let's hope so."

"He went to Mei's world and brought back all the Cursed Children."

"Then he visited Yu's world and took away all the Magical Girls."

"And now he's here."

"Let's just hope he doesn't try to steal all Heaven's angels."

She was genuinely worried.

After all, Takumi really might try that.

If he did take all the angels, this world would be thrown into chaos.

The Church would go mad.

Their god was already gone—if the angels disappeared too, faith itself might collapse.

Who knows what kind of disaster that would bring?

Even just imagining it was terrifying.

Hopefully Takumi wouldn't go too far.

Rias and the others shared the same concern.

Still, now that Takumi had left, worrying wouldn't help.

They could only hope for the best.

...

Of course, Takumi wasn't planning anything outrageous.

He just wanted to see if there were any cute girls he could bring home.

What bad intentions could he possibly have?

He just wanted to offer some of the girls in this world a warm home.

And collect a few Sacred Gears.

By now, Takumi had arrived in Heaven.

The place was bathed in the infamous holy light.

And not just demons—many readers hated that stuff too.

Anime fans could understand why devils hated the holy glow.

It always popped up from nowhere and blocked the parts you actually wanted to see.

Holy light from Heaven and the inherent evil of the Uchiha clan... equally irritating.

Takumi arrived undetected.

He was in a different spatial dimension.

Heaven had magic circles set up for security, but thanks to Velia's magic, Takumi slipped through.

The two worlds had different magic systems, but there were similarities.

As long as he didn't leak his presence, he'd remain invisible.

Entering Heaven felt like returning home.

Takumi strolled in without a care.

Along the way, he passed by several two-winged angels.

None of them noticed anything off.

As they walked past, Takumi glanced at them.

They were all gorgeous girls.

Their proportions were downright criminal!

Truly wicked angels!

Totally trying to tempt people into sin!

No wonder Azazel fell.

Takumi understood!

He really, truly understood.

Shaking off those thoughts, he began exploring Heaven.

The realm was layered and vast, filled with angels.

Many of them acted like normal people—studying, praying, meditating.

His target: Dulio Gesualdo.

A human reincarnated as a Ten-Winged Angel.

Wielder of the Sacred Gear Zenith Tempest.

Heaven's strongest ace.

Takumi didn't know if the guy was here, but he intended to find out.

As he explored, he also observed angelic customs.

And took a few snapshots for the group chat.

After all, most of them had never seen real angels.

So now that he had access, of course he'd share.

He opened the group chat and began uploading pictures of the angels.

As the photos kept coming, everyone in the chat quickly grew excited.
