Bronya: [These angels are pretty good looking.] [All of them are handsome men and beautiful women!!]
Chika Fujiwara: [Waa!!] [Angels!!]
Megumi Kato: [This is my first time seeing angels!]
Zhongli: [Truly an impressive race.]
Akeno: [Is it really okay to take pictures so openly like this?]
Good grief, has Takumi really treated Heaven like his own backyard? He's just casually taking pictures?
Takumi: [What's the problem?] [They can't see me anyway.] [No time to chat—I'm going to look for someone now.] [Heading to where the Ten-Winged Angels reside, it's not on this layer.]
Currently, Takumi was only in the area where ordinary angels live. The higher levels were where the archangels stayed.
With that thought in mind, Takumi took action. He vanished from his current spot and appeared in the upper layers of Heaven, beginning his search for Dulio Gesualdo.
He'd only seen illustrations of the guy before, but that didn't matter. He could just sense the sacred gear energy from him.
After reaching his destination, Takumi began his search in earnest, scanning for any traces of sacred gear energy. This level seemed to house angels who were once human and reincarnated.
Takumi noticed that the architecture here followed a cathedral style, and after a quick sensing sweep—
Bingo. There were quite a few sacred gear users here.
Even more interestingly, many of them possessed sacred gears that didn't appear in the original series.
Eyes sparkling, Takumi immediately approached a nearby female angel and began his research.
However, the moment a slight fluctuation of his energy was detected, Heaven's security system reacted.
Takumi raised his brow. Huh, the system here is pretty sensitive, huh?
"Intruder alert!"
Angels in this layer received the divine message instantly—someone had broken into Heaven.
"Tch!"
Takumi was a little annoyed. That was fast.
Even the exact point where his energy leaked had been pinpointed.
Before long, angels had completely surrounded the female reincarnated angel in front of him.
"I-It wasn't me! I didn't do anything!!"
She was dumbfounded. She wasn't the intruder!
"Anna, don't worry. It's not you."
A calm voice rang out.
"Unknown gentleman? Could you please reveal yourself?"
Michael had arrived. He first soothed the frightened angel, then turned to speak into the void.
Following behind him were other archangels, including Heaven's number one beauty—Gabriel.
Seeing her, Takumi couldn't help but take a few more glances.
Then he silently snapped a picture and uploaded it to the chat group.
Takumi: [Heaven's Top Beauty Gabriel.jpg]
As Takumi popped into the chat, everyone responded with question marks.
Megumi Kato: [He got caught, huh...]
Seeing the group of angels forming a perimeter, Megumi had a strange expression.
That was way too fast.
The others began chiming in.
Chika Fujiwara: [Takumi, your stealth skills need some serious work. I suggest learning from Megumi!]
Bronya: [Already discovered...?]
Akeno: [Please don't start a fight...]
Seeing Takumi exposed, Akeno was genuinely worried he'd get irritated and just destroy Heaven.
That would be a real disaster.
She held her head in concern.
But Takumi didn't reply further. After posting the photo, he just casually stepped out.
"Hello~!"
"Mr. Michael, Miss Gabriel."
"Nice to meet you~!"
As he appeared, the surrounding angels all readied their weapons.
Holy swords appeared in their hands.
Michael took a look at Takumi and blinked in surprise.
"You must be Mr. Takumi, correct?"
Apparently, Michael had already figured out who he was.
He made a hand gesture, signaling everyone to lower their weapons.
The angels obeyed at once.
In Heaven, the word of an archangel was absolute.
Though many of them were reincarnated humans, their loyalty was unwavering.
The disloyal ones had already fallen.
Hearing Michael call his name, Takumi raised an eyebrow.
"You already know me?"
"Looks like your three factions are on pretty good terms, huh?"
He was surprised. The relationship between angels and devils seemed much better than expected.
Then again, the current devils weren't the old guard.
Those guys were the ones constantly barking at angels.
The new generation sought peace and cooperation.
They even signed peace agreements.
As for the fallen angels, no need to mention—Azazel was a former archangel himself, only fallen because of ghs (lust).
Honestly, they were all wearing the same pants at this point.
"Well, we all belong to the same godly system. No need for constant battles," Michael replied with a chuckle.
"Sazeks already explained everything about you to us."
"We only just found out, to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings."
Takumi nodded at that.
"Got it."
"If I'd known earlier, I would've just come openly."
He shrugged.
Michael gave a wry smile.
"I only received the message shortly before this."
"Then we immediately detected a presence in Heaven."
No use fussing over timing now.
"Mr. Takumi, please come with me."
"Let's continue our talk in the upper levels."
"I understand your purpose. I'll have them cooperate with you shortly."
Michael was well aware of Takumi's reason for visiting and was willing to give him the courtesy.
After all, someone who could replicate sacred gears was a tremendous asset.
He'd been shocked upon learning about this, and before he knew it, Takumi had already arrived.
Takumi nodded, accepting the offer without hesitation.
Together with Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, the three archangels, they headed to the highest level of Heaven—the place where they lived.
