Marie's POV
I stood there frozen. Chills went down my spine as my body went through different feelings. A cold feeling wrapped alongside a wave of heat that came from the injuries inflicted.
As soon as he left, I couldn't help but yell out in pain, my hands grabbing my hair as tight as I could. Tears filled my eyes, but there was nothing I could say. The pain I felt was more than I could handle.
How could he do this to me? I felt like I could give him a chance, but then he made me feel like a laughing stock.
I had wanted to trust him; I had wanted to make sure that things went well, but he was making me feel strange.
"What did I do to deserve this?" I cried out loud. Life was cruel to me even the second time.
As I cried, I noticed the door creaked open, and I immediately rushed towards the bed to wrap the beddings around myself. My heart raced, and I got so worried.
I raised my head, and to my surprise, I saw her.
"You're back?" I asked, and she nodded.
