Magnus paused, his eyes flicking up to meet mine, a wicked grin tugging at the corner of his lips.
"Say it again, Little Wolf," he murmured as his hands slid further down, making me squirm.
My chest tightened as my body ached for more. "I'm begging you, Magnus…"
Magnus gently lowered me onto the bed, our bodies sinking into the soft sheets. The heat between us scorched as he hovered over me. His rough edges seemed to melt away as he gently brushed a strand of hair from my face, his fingers lingering against my cheek.
"You're so beautiful, Little Wolf…" His voice was filled with awe, as if he were seeing me for the very first time. "And I'm going to spend my whole life thanking the Moon Goddess for bringing you into my world."
My heart fluttered at his words. I smiled up at him, my fingers trailing lightly over his chest, where his heart was beating so steadily.
