The continents could not be treated as enormous rocks.
Their leylines had developed independently for thousands of years.
Bringing the landmasses closer would also bring entire energy systems into contact.
Eirene studied the projected flows for a long time.
"If these two approach at the angle you've chosen, the leylines will intersect before the crust does."
Lucien frowned.
"Badly?"
Eirene nodded.
Lucien smiled.
They adjusted the route.
The solution was not to force the old energy systems into one another.
The Lunarians would construct transitional arrays ahead of the moving boundaries, giving the leylines temporary paths while the continents approached.
As the distances narrowed, those temporary routes would be altered again.
Once Lilith completed a stable physical connection, the Lunarians could gradually transfer the energy flow into the new land.
Nothing would be switched at once.
