Maya: Damon just got the latest shareholder registry. Lucian's purchased 8% through shell companies.
Me: What?! This can't be legal.
Maya: We're tracing those dummy accounts now. Stay calm.
My phone buzzed again, this time from an unknown number:
Unknown: Tell Damon to back off or watch the twins pay the price.
My chest seized. Twelve weeks pregnant, I'd grown used to morning sickness and mood swings—but nothing prepared me for a direct threat against our babies.
