Chapter 7 - Episode 7 - "Awakening Ice, Unleashing Storm"

Opening Scene — Overtime Begins

The scoreboard flickers: 59–59.

Ref blows the whistle.

Players step back onto the court—no substitutions.

This is war to the end.

Kaito Shiba tugs his jersey. His eyes glow faintly blue.

Still calm. Still ice.

Narrator:

> "Some awaken to flame…

Others awaken to frost.

But the ones who change the storm—

are those who find balance."

---

Scene — First OT Minute

Kenshin slows it down—deliberate plays, surgical cuts.

Tokyo's defenders sweat under the rhythm.

Maxwell shadows Kaito.

Hunter:

> "Why is he glowing?!"

Maxwell (narrow-eyed):

> "It's not glow. It's focus.

He's… tuned into something deeper."

Kaito gets the ball. Fakes right. Spinning pivot left.

Mid-range jumper. Swish.

Score: 61–59.

Kenshin leads.

---

Scene — Maxwell's First Step Into "The Glimpse"

Knight inbounds.

Maxwell brings it up. Crowd fades. Noise dims.

For just a second…

The court shifts in Maxwell's eyes.

Outlines sharpen. Time stretches.

He sees three steps ahead.

He passes mid-spin behind his back, no look—

Knight catches. Layup. Tie game.

Maxwell (softly):

> "I saw it."

Knight:

> "Saw what?"

Maxwell:

> "…Everything."

---

Scene — Kaito Awakens

Kaito smirks for the first time.

Kaito:

> "So... the ghost opens one eye."

Suddenly he accelerates, slicing through defenders, euro-steps, kicks to the corner—

Bang. Three.

Kenshin leads again: 64–61.

Tokyo bench stunned.

Coach Rintaro:

> "No… he's not just awakened.

He's syncing with the rhythm of time itself."

Airi, from the stands:

> "Is this… his Zone?"

---

Scene — The Turning Point

Maxwell stands at the arc. Dribbling.

Kaito guards him.

Kaito:

> "You see the court.

But do you see yourself?"

Maxwell breathes deep. The camera spins slowly around him.

A glow begins — faint gold and blue — around his irises.

The world slows.

He sees it all.

His teammates' pulses.

His opponents' blinks.

He's fully in.

Maxwell whispers:

> "You want to see me?

Here I am."

He slashes forward. Step-back.

Kaito reacts—too late.

Maxwell hits the three. Tie: 64–64.

---

Final 30 Seconds — "The Last Duel"

Kenshin inbounds.

Kaito walks up the court.

Maxwell meets him at half-court.

They lock eyes.

A storm inside ice.

Ice inside a storm.

Kaito drives. Maxwell mirrors.

They spin—clash—jump.

BANG.

Maxwell gets the block.

Ball lands with Knight.

Knight fires a bullet pass to Hunter.

Hunter drives, gets blocked.

Ball bounces loose.

Maxwell grabs it. 6 seconds left.

He doesn't shoot.

Instead…

He passes to Knight.

Knight lobs it up.

Maxwell catches—mid-air.

One-hand reverse.

BUZZER.

66–64. Tokyo International wins.

---

Ending Scene — Court Aftermath

The crowd is stunned.

Kaito stands at half-court, staring at his hands.

Kaito:

> "I wasn't wrong.

He's… the one."

Maxwell walks past him, barely winded.

Maxwell:

> "You're not done. Neither am I."

Kaito smiles.

Knight jogs over, panting.

Knight:

> "You good?"

Maxwell (wiping sweat):

> "I'm just getting started."

---

Ending Narration (Voiceover Style):

> "When Ice meets Storm…

Something greater is born.

But what's coming next…

Isn't calm. It's rage."
