Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Don't Worry, I'm Not Interested in Other Blonde Beauties

The next day, George once again served as driver, escorting his daughter and a certain brat to school together.

However, perhaps because Gwen had told him about her conversation with Leo the night before.

For once, George looked at Leo with approval and even chatted with him a bit more.

"Kid, what you said yesterday about procedural justice was very interesting. Did you come up with that yourself?"

"No, I don't have that kind of awareness. I heard it from a professor."

Leo replied while eating breakfast.

"Which professor? I'd like to attend his lectures if I have time."

"Oh, he's called Zhang San, a professor from China. You should be able to find his videos if you search online."

...

"Hey, Leo!"

At the school gate, Leo turned around to see Peter Parker standing next to an elderly man, waving at him.

"Uncle Ben, I'll go ahead then." Peter said to his uncle before eagerly running across the street.

Watching his nephew greet that classmate, Ben Parker also politely nodded.

Coming to Leo and Gwen's side, Peter discretely took out two workbooks and put them in Leo's backpack.

"These are the assignments due later."

"Thanks, Garfield."

"Come on, stop calling me Garfield. I don't even know that person."

"Okay, Garfield."

"Parker, you're helping Leo with homework again. I've told you so many times—stop enabling him!"

Gwen frowned, very unhappy. I'm trying so hard to persuade Leo to improve, and you're just causing trouble.

Seriously.

Facing Gwen's scolding, Peter's face fell.

"Stacy, you know that Leo just helped me yesterday..."

(Using first names indicates closeness, while using surnames indicates normal classmate/colleague relationships or recent acquaintance.)

"That doesn't mean you should..." Gwen was about to say more when Leo, caught in the middle, interrupted her.

"Alright Gwen, you know how I am."

"Even if Peter doesn't help me write them, I wouldn't write them myself anyway."

Leo shrugged, "Rather than saying Peter is helping me, it's more like he's helping the teacher avoid embarrassment."

Seeing him so brazenly confident about not doing homework, Gwen was both angry and amused.

But she indeed stopped giving Peter trouble, which made him sigh in relief.

In the distance, watching the three of them chatting and laughing as they walked toward the academic building, Flash Thompson clenched his fists.

After yesterday's incident, he had been called to the vice principal's office for a severe scolding and even had his basketball team captain position revoked.

Meanwhile, Leo, who had actually fought, faced no consequences.

He was both angry and afraid.

Because the principal had said that if he provoked Leo again, he should prepare for a major disciplinary action or even expulsion.

Thompson couldn't understand why the principal would favor a student so much.

Well, if Leo knew what he was thinking, he would gladly tell him the answer.

Very simple—as long as you donate five hundred thousand dollars to the school every year, you can get the same treatment.

...

In class, Leo went through his daily routine of slacking off, lying motionless on his desk.

He appeared to be sleeping but was actually training.

Under Leo's perception, every living being around him emitted weak ki—Queens, Manhattan, New York, the entire state, even the neighboring capital.

As long as Leo was willing, his ki perception could extend throughout the entire eastern United States.

Don't think this range was impressive—Goku could sense opponents' ki across countless planets as long as he remembered their ki signature.

Since he couldn't train his body at school, Leo would improve his ki control through meditation.

The teacher naturally saw Leo spacing out, but as long as he didn't disturb other students, most teachers wouldn't interfere.

Except for going out for lunch with Gwen at noon, Leo spent the day lying down.

Before school ended, the biology teacher stopped the students who were eager to participate in various activities and announced:

"Oscorp will be opening some of its laboratories for tours this Saturday. Interested students can sign up with me."

"This is a great opportunity. If you're noticed by the researchers there, you might become an intern assistant like Student Stacy, which would be very helpful for college applications."

Gwen smiled shyly, feeling somewhat embarrassed to be used as an example.

Hearing the teacher say this, quite a few students went to sign up, including Peter.

Peter was also a bit of an academic achiever, especially excelling in biology and physics, often getting perfect scores.

...

"Aren't you going this weekend?"

That night, lying in bed and swinging her fair legs, Gwen was talking to Leo on the phone.

"What would I do there? The only biology I understand is how to continue life—everything else is like hieroglyphics to me."

"I'd rather sleep in during that time."

The speed was too fast, and Gwen was left blushing from what he said, unfortunately Leo couldn't appreciate it.

"Are you sure you're staying home to sleep and not going to find some blonde beauty to discuss the continuation of life?"

Leo, who was exercising, held dumbbells while his phone was on speaker on the ground. Hearing Gwen's slightly vigilant probing, he couldn't help but laugh.

"Don't worry, I'm not interested in other blonde beauties."

If it's not blonde though, I can't guarantee anything.

Leo thought to himself.

Only then did Gwen smile with satisfaction. It wasn't that she was particularly suspicious by nature—it was mainly that Leo was extremely popular among the girls.

When chatting with friends casually, Gwen could often hear these lovesick girls fantasizing about Leo and drooling profusely.

Her vigilance had naturally increased significantly.

This was her pig that she'd been raising for several years—how could she let it go root around in other people's cabbage patches?

After talking on the phone for a long time, Gwen finally hung up reluctantly under Helen's urging.

And on Leo's side, he also put down his equipment.

Although he hadn't reached his normal training amount, he had more important things to do today.

Changing into black training clothes, through perfect muscle control, he changed his face into that of another person.

Plain and unremarkable, vastly different from his original handsome appearance.

Leo's figure flashed and disappeared from the room.
