Chapter 189 - Chapter 189: Mewtwo's Rage

Facing attacks from six directions simultaneously, even Mewtwo felt considerable pressure. It crossed its arms in front of its chest, and an invisible psychic barrier appeared around Mewtwo's body, blocking all the incoming attacks.

But the continuous bombardment from the six Pokémon also made Mewtwo realize that this wasn't a battle it could win through conventional means.

"Humans, your Pokémon are quite excellent, but unfortunately, they still cannot match my power!"

As soon as the words fell, Mewtwo's eyes glowed with blue light, and terrifying psychic power erupted from its body. The psychic shockwave spread in all directions, forcing Red's six Pokémon to retreat several steps.

Even Red himself felt the pressure from this psychic force and had to use his own psychic powers to resist Mewtwo's mental assault.

"What terrifying psychic power..." Red murmured, his expression becoming more serious.

Mewtwo slowly floated into the air, looking down at Red and his Pokémon with cold eyes.

"I was created to be the strongest Pokémon. No matter how many of you there are, you cannot defeat me!"

Mewtwo raised its right hand, and countless psychic blades formed around its body, then shot toward Red's Pokémon like a storm.

"Everyone, dodge!" Red commanded.

Beedrill and Scizor used their speed to weave between the psychic blades, while Pidgeot took to the air to avoid the attacks. Charizard used its wings to block some of the blades, though it still took some damage.

The massive Steelix coiled its body into a defensive position, using Iron Defense to minimize the damage from the psychic blades that struck it.

The Blood-Red Gyarados, already exhausted from the previous battle, was hit by several psychic blades and finally collapsed, unable to continue fighting.

"Gyarados!" Red called out with concern, then recalled it into its Poké Ball. "You've done well, rest now."

Seeing one of Red's Pokémon fall, Mewtwo showed a satisfied expression.

"See? This is the difference in our power. Your Pokémon are nothing more than toys to me!"

But Red's expression didn't show despair. Instead, his eyes burned even brighter with fighting spirit.

"Mewtwo, if you think that's enough to make us give up, you're gravely mistaken!"

Red pressed down on his cap, revealing only his left eye, which gradually turned crimson red. The Battle Intent Realm erupted from his body, instantly spreading throughout the battlefield.

The five remaining Pokémon felt Red's battle intent and became even more determined. Their own auras began to strengthen under the influence of Red's Battle Intent Realm.

"Impossible! How can a mere human possess such power!" Mewtwo said in shock, feeling the oppressive aura emanating from Red.

"Charizard, Mega Evolve!"

Red threw Charizard's Mega Stone while pressing the Key Stone in his palm. Brilliant light erupted from both Red and Charizard as the bond between them formed a connection.

After the evolution light faded, Mega Charizard X appeared with its gray-black skin, blue flames, and crimson eyes.

"Beedrill, you too! Mega Evolve!"

Red repeated the process, and Beedrill also underwent Mega Evolution, transforming into Mega Beedrill with its enhanced speed and power.

Seeing two Pokémon undergo this mysterious evolution, Mewtwo's expression finally showed a hint of wariness.

"What is this power? This evolution..."

"This is the power of bonds, Mewtwo! The power that comes from the connection between trainer and Pokémon!"

The cracks in Mewtwo's restraining armor grew larger as its emotions became more turbulent. The armor was finally reaching its breaking point.

"Bonds? What a ridiculous concept! I need no such weakness!"

Mewtwo's psychic power exploded outward in its rage, and with a resounding crack, the restraining armor finally shattered completely, falling to the ground in pieces.

Now freed from its restraints, Mewtwo's true power was revealed. Its aura increased dramatically, and the very air around it seemed to distort from the intensity of its psychic energy.

"Now you will witness my true strength, humans!"

The real battle was about to begin.

Free from its restraints, Mewtwo's power increased exponentially. The psychic energy radiating from its body was so intense that it caused the very air to shimmer and distort.

"Now witness my true power!" Mewtwo declared, its voice echoing with newfound authority.

Mewtwo raised both hands, and the entire battlefield began to tremble. Chunks of concrete and debris lifted into the air, orbiting around Mewtwo like satellites. With a gesture, these improvised projectiles launched toward Red's Pokémon with devastating force.

"Steelix, use Rock Slide to counter!" Red commanded.

The massive steel serpent roared and summoned rocks from the ground, hurling them to intercept Mewtwo's debris attack. The collision created explosions throughout the battlefield, filling the air with dust and smoke.

Using the cover, Mega Beedrill shot forward with incredible speed, its needles glowing with Bug-type energy as it prepared to strike with Twineedle.

But Mewtwo was ready. Without even looking, it caught Mega Beedrill with psychic power just inches from its target.

"Too slow," Mewtwo said coldly, then flung Mega Beedrill across the battlefield.

Mega Charizard X dove from above, blue flames erupting from its mouth in a concentrated Flamethrower. Mewtwo simply raised its hand, creating a psychic barrier that not only blocked the flames but also reflected them back at Charizard.

"Charizard, dodge and use Dragon Claw!" Red called out.

Mega Charizard X twisted in mid-air, avoiding its own reflected flames, then swooped down with claws wreathed in draconic energy. This time, the attack connected, leaving scratches across Mewtwo's arm.

Mewtwo looked at the minor wound with surprise, then anger.

"You dare... injure me?"

The psychic pressure in the room doubled. Pidgeot, caught in the sudden surge of power, crashed to the ground, unable to maintain flight. Scizor's movements became sluggish as the psychic force weighed down on it like a mountain.

"Everyone, don't give up!" Red shouted, his Battle Intent Realm pushing back against Mewtwo's oppressive aura. "We can do this together!"

Steelix gathered its remaining strength and fired a massive Hyper Beam directly at Mewtwo. The energy beam was so powerful it left a trail of melted concrete in its wake.

Mewtwo caught the beam with both hands, struggling briefly against its power before redirecting it skyward, where it punched a hole clean through the gym's roof.

"Impressive," Mewtwo admitted, "but still insufficient!"

Mewtwo began to glow with an ominous purple light. The psychic energy around it condensed into a massive sphere above its head. It was preparing to use Psystrike.

"This ends now," Mewtwo declared, preparing to unleash its devastating attack.

Red gritted his teeth, knowing his team was reaching their limits. But he wasn't ready to give up. Not yet.

"Everyone, one final coordinated attack! Give it everything you've got!"

The five remaining Pokémon, despite their injuries and exhaustion, rallied for one last desperate assault. This would determine the outcome of their battle against the legendary Mewtwo.
