Chapter 192 - Chapter 192: The End of an Intense Battle

"Bring it on!"

Mewtwo smiled faintly, then released astonishing psychic energy. It waved both hands, materializing mysterious psychic waves that struck the approaching Charizard, dealing devastating physical damage to the fire-breathing dragon.

"Psystrike?" Red wondered with curiosity.

While Charizard bought precious time against Mewtwo, Beedrill once again became a shadow, silently approaching from behind, then unleashed X-Scissor with deadly precision.

Fortunately, Mewtwo was prepared. While using Psychic to resist Charizard's assault, it simultaneously turned and launched Psycho Cut toward Beedrill's direction.

Red and his four Pokémon stared in shock at the display before them, unable to believe that under the dual assault of Beedrill and Charizard, Mewtwo still had the energy to resist and hadn't taken any obvious damage.

At Red's eye signal, Beedrill and Charizard actively distanced themselves from Mewtwo, trying to observe for weak points.

"Beedrill, use Swords Dance!"

"Charizard, use Dragon Dance!"

Beedrill performed an intense war dance to boost its fighting spirit, greatly raising its Attack power.

Charizard also performed a mysterious and powerful dance, raising both its Attack and Speed dramatically.

"So it's coming to this?" Mewtwo murmured.

"Charizard, use Dragon Rush followed by Dragon Claw!"

"Beedrill, use Pin Missile to assist Charizard's attack!"

Beedrill rapidly flapped its wings to gain altitude, crossing its twin needles to release countless sharp spikes. The spikes became missiles rapidly approaching Mewtwo's position.

Pressured by Beedrill's terrifying attack power, Mewtwo had to use Psychic to control the incoming Pin Missile barrage, but this gave Charizard the opening it needed.

The Charizard covered in blue draconic aura vigorously flapped its massive wings, instantly reaching Mewtwo's front. Its claws were wreathed in emerald energy as it followed up with the devastating Dragon Claw.

"BANG!"

Mewtwo's entire body was knocked backward by Charizard, but it used psychic power to protect itself in time, avoiding being injured by the wall impact.

"Considerable damage. You're an excellent fighter, but unfortunately my strategy isn't as simple as it appears on the surface," Mewtwo said calmly.

Seeming to guess something, Red quickly shouted for Charizard to leave its position, but it was too late.

A beam of light suddenly descended from above Charizard. This beam condensed from pure psychic power hit Charizard's body head-on. Its overwhelming force made Charizard painfully furrow its brow, but for a warrior's dignity, Charizard still didn't cry out in anguish.

"Future Sight..." Red murmured with recognition.

Seeing Charizard's stamina gradually failing, Red regretfully withdrew the power he had been channeling to Charizard, instructing it to quickly leave the battlefield and rest.

Initially, Charizard stubbornly shook its head, signaling to Red that it could still fight, but after taking just one step, its body involuntarily froze in place, showing a pained expression.

Fortunately, the other four watching Pokémon simultaneously convinced Charizard to stand down. According to them, they had been watching for so long without complaining, so what was it being stubborn about?

Left with no argument, Charizard had to relax and cancel its Mega Evolution form, looking at Mewtwo with unwillingness before finally shaking its head with a resigned sigh.

"So only Beedrill remains..." Red murmured, the fighting spirit in his eyes not dissipating at all, but burning even more intensely.

"Beedrill, such a familiar yet disgusting creature to me..." Mewtwo said indifferently, raising its hand to use Psystrike, attacking Beedrill's direction with materialized psychic waves.

"Use X-Scissor!" Red commanded.

Beedrill had no intention of dodging, instead crossing its twin needles head-on and striking with all its might, shattering the incoming psychic waves completely.

'Excellent fellow...'

Mewtwo looked at Beedrill with approving eyes and nodded.

After Charizard's regretful exit, Red, whose stamina was gradually recovering, channeled all his remaining power into Beedrill, causing Beedrill's strength to increase once again.

Red's trust, and the hopes of the five companions behind it. These were all reasons why Beedrill couldn't be defeated here.

Just then, commotion suddenly arose outside Viridian Gym, and the previously erupting battle intent gradually dissipated at this moment.

Mewtwo looked displeasedly toward the door. Originally, Mewtwo had been looking forward to the upcoming duel with Beedrill, but now it would regretfully have to end things hastily.

"Mewtwo, let's have a final move showdown that we won't regret, one worth keeping deep in our memories!" Red declared.

"I was thinking the same thing!" Mewtwo replied with enthusiasm.

"Beedrill, use Swords Dance again!"

Beedrill once again performed the intense battle dance to boost its fighting spirit, greatly raising its Attack power.

"Beedrill, use our final X-Scissor!"

Under the gaze of Red and many Pokémon, Beedrill's twin needles erupted with astonishing emerald light as it vigorously flapped its wings and rushed to Mewtwo's front.

"Bring it on!" Mewtwo said with surprise and anticipation.

Purple Psycho Cut blades formed on Mewtwo's arms but weren't immediately slashed out. Instead, they became blades attached to both of Mewtwo's arms.

Mewtwo simultaneously rushed to Beedrill's front, crossing both arms to use Psycho Cut at close range.

'My limit isn't just this. I want to become even stronger!'

Just as it was about to clash with Mewtwo, Beedrill suddenly recalled the countless moments with Red over the past three years, as well as the arduous training with that mischievous Mew.

'I absolutely cannot disappoint my master's expectations, and I absolutely cannot betray my siblings' trust!'

A crimson aura suddenly erupted from Beedrill's body. Under Mewtwo's astonished gaze, Beedrill's form was suddenly covered by crimson battle aura, and its body quietly began to change once again.

But Beedrill's transformation at this moment wasn't complete. It seemed it hadn't reached the full state, only allowing a vague silhouette to be seen within the crimson aura.

"You...!"

Mewtwo looked in shock at the gradually changing Beedrill, unable to imagine that Beedrill was actually undergoing another evolutionary stage.

Fortunately, this vague stage wasn't complete. To avoid losing due to distraction, Mewtwo decided not to think about these distracting thoughts and forcefully swung down the Psycho Cut blades attached to both arms.

"BANG!"

The powerful force of both moves caused a violent explosion, with aftershocks even shattering the surrounding stone pillars. The entire Viridian Gym building trembled, and debris madly fell from the ceiling above.

After the smoke from the explosion cleared, Beedrill swayed as it canceled its Mega Evolution form. The crimson aura that had covered its entire body also completely dissipated, as if it had never appeared.

Beedrill swayed powerlessly left and right but refused to fall to the ground and rest, because it didn't want to disappoint Red and its companions' trust.

"As a member of the Beedrill species, you are already excellent!"

Mewtwo showed a slightly approving smile, nodding in praise of Beedrill.

"Let's call this duel between us a draw. I look forward to your power after you perfect this new form. I can vaguely sense that this form carries the deep bond between you and Red. It's definitely a powerful strength that surpasses your previous Mega Evolution form!"
