Chapter 2 - Unexpected Encounter

Seraphine tilted her head, her brown eyes glinting with an otherworldly patience. "You're not afraid," she observed. "Most would be." Edwin swallowed hard, his fingers twitching at his sides. "I've... written this place a hundred times." His voice came out steadier than he expected. "The black oaks with silver veins in the bark. The way the mist moves like it's alive." Seraphine say "Yes, because you created this place, this realm." Edwin was still confused, why did he fall in this world? Was this a dream? He said "it's dream, right?" Seraphine with her smile slapped Edwin face "is it hurt? if it's hurt, then it's real" Edwin stumbled back, his cheek stinging from the sharp impact. The pain radiated through his jaw, undeniable and grounding. He pressed a hand to his face, his pulse loud in his ears. "Okay," he muttered, breath uneven. "Not a dream. Got it." Seraphine's smile softened, almost apologetic, but her gaze remained steady. "You didn't just dream Nusantara into being, Edwin. You anchored it. Every story, every detail you scribbled in those notebooks—they became threads in a living tapestry. And now..." She reached out, brushing her fingertips against surounding area. "Nusantara realm has been broke and cracked. now we need your help to restore it. The power of chaos is getting stronger" Seraphine said with serious face and sound. Edwin was even more confused because of what she said "broke? cracked? chaos? I don't know what is that mean" Then Seraphine invite Edwin to Sharakartan, the place where Dreamcatcher belong. "Well, come on now. We must go to Sharakartan and I'll explain everything on the way"

Eventually Edwin and Seraphine came out of the dark forest to go to Sharakartan. In the middle of the journey when they wanted to get out of there, suddenly felt a dark energy from afar. The energy felt closer and Seraphine said "be prepared, there seems to be chaos that senses your presence" Seraphine bit her hand and appeared to be bleeding. She set up a stance and from her blood, she made sharp needles to prepare for the chaos attack. Edwin took out the steel baton he was carrying. Suddenly six vampires approached them. "Well... well... well... looks what we have here... Seraphine and .... a human? But... you seem to be giving off a very strange energy... looks like she could make a good sacrifice for the gods" One of the vampires said while wearing a cynical smile and thirsting for dark energy and blood. With sarcasm smiling and guarding stand, Seraphine say "didn't we have a peace treaty from the great battle? oh! I know.... you're.... chaotic vampire, did you?" The lead vampire bared his fangs, his crimson eyes flickering with malicious amusement. "Treaties are for those who still bow to order," he hissed. His companions fanned out in a predatory semicircle, their movements liquid and unnaturally smooth. The forest around them seemed to darken, the very air thickening with the scent of decay and old blood.

Seraphine exhaled sharply through her nose. "Of course. The Chaotic Vampire isn't?." She flexed her fingers, and the floating blood-needles spun faster, glinting like shards of ruby in the dim light. "Edwin," she murmured without turning, "stay behind me. Their fangs carry more than just venom." suddenly two vampires attacked from their right and left. Seraphine instantly launched her sharp needle blood at them and instantly the two vampires fell down in pain. In agony one of the vampires screamed in pain "aarrrggghhh!!!! what the fuck is that thing!?" Then two other vampires attacked them from the front and back! "clank!" the sound of the steel baton that blocked the vampire's death claw attack. At the same time, the leader of the vampire group slashed Seraphine's body. "Slash!!" how does it feel, Seraphine? delicious isn't it?" She said happily. Seraphine was in pain because a lot of blood was coming out of her body and couldn't do anything. Meanwhile Edwin kept trying to take down his vampire opponent. Edwin's arms shook as he parried another brutal slash of the vampire's claws. The steel baton vibrated in his grip, the impact numbing his fingers. He pivoted just in time to duck a swipe aimed at his throat, the wind from the movement ruffling his hair. The vampire snarled, its eyes burning with hunger—until Edwin twisted and drove the baton hard into its ribs. The creature staggered, but didn't fall.

Behind him, Seraphine gasped, clutching her bleeding side. Her needles had dissolved into crimson mist, her strength clearly waning. The lead vampire licked her own claws, savoring the metallic tang of Seraphine's blood. "Sweet," she purred. From a distance there were suddenly many voices coming. Suddenly, three vampires arrived. Two masked vampires with one carrying a sword, and one carrying a scyte. But there was one vampire who stood proudly wearing a black suite in the middle of the two vampires who accompanied him. The black suite vampire say "Looks like we found him".
