The night Before,
He had felt everything through the bonding connection, and he was livid. This was not the promise they made to each other. The three had agreed not to touch Ryn during his heat, but he had felt it.
The ache in his heart, the way the mark had glowed signifying that a final bonding was happening. That wasn't even all, because the mark on his hand was beginning to fade.
That night, he had been training in the school field, thinking about how he hadn't seen Ryn for days, when he felt it.
His first thought had gone to Veyr, because Kael believed Veyr was the boldest of the three.
"I can't believe this," he yelled, dropping his sword to the ground and rushing out of the field to confront them. He didn't care if he broke the bonding rules. Kael couldn't cope with knowing someone else had claimed Ryn before him.
Kael had always despised the idea of sharing Ryn. The bond might have been sacred, but to him, it should have been exclusive.
