Chapter 25 - Infiltration (III)

Somewhere on the second citadel, the Geddos Alliance, along a long corridor were walking to Geddos copies. Both of them were carrying weapons. They did not actually want to carry weapons, too confident in their physical abilities and the design of the stasis chambers. But the Supreme King did not trust them.

They were making small lazy steps while not even surveilling the chambers for possible dangers. "Did you buy the new Fluffy-inator 17.12?" One of them asked, holding his own weapon. It was a Fluffy-inator 16.5 and had a few accessories. The other one, which was asked, was holding a Stuffing-incinerator THIRD Gen.

He rubbed his arm. "No… They pushed back the release, but I had the chance to preorder so I will still get it a day early." He said, "I can finally upgrade my gun. I don't want to complain, I love this gun, but the new Fluffy-inator will be a big upgrade. Lesser reload times, faster cooldown and higher magazine capacity."

"That sounds fantastic." The other one said. He was eyeing the Stuffing-incinerator of his colleague. "Can I have your old gun once you switch over? Mine is kinda outdated."

Both of them laughed in sync, walking past a chamber. "Sure brother."

Suddenly, the chamber they had just walked past exploded open. Out fell what seemed to be a robot.

The 2 Geddos copies lifted their weapons and ran at him. The robot was just laying down on the floor. "What is this? Does not seem like the corpses of the citadel meeting we attacked."

The other one scoffed. "Of course not, dumbass. That is a fucking robot!" He angrily glanced at the other one. The gun started to load, a light on the side increasing in intensity.

All of a sudden the robot shot up into the air. They could finally see the face of the robot and… it was no robot. It was a Lukas clone in armor. The armor had boosters on the front and used them to dodge the shots of the 2 Geddos copies. The Lukas inside was unconscious.

"Artificial Intelligence in armor? Smart man." They were shooting at the armor, trying to anticipate the movements. The lasers and bullets were hitting walls, the ceiling and sometimes even the armor. "Not as good as I thought." One of them muttered.

The armor's damage started to accumulate. It was not attacking, instead seemed to wait for the host to wake up. But the armor had not a lot of time left. It rammed into one of the Geddos copies, shoulder first, and ran down the corridor.

"After it!" One screamed and instantly sprinted after the armor.

The other one hesitated. "Shouldn't we call for reinforcements?" His gun was cooling down.

"We're keeping up, aren't we? And it is almost fully destroyed, so no worries." He still shot at the armor, his bullets were not able to heat up his gun as fast. His little feet were tapping faster and faster on the ground, exhaustion was coming after him but he was faster.

His friend on the other hand was almost fully exhausted.

"Come on! You don't have to deal with recoil from lasers, why are you exhausted?" He made fun of his colleague.

Before them, the armor sprinted around a corner. The scanners were still searching for the person they wanted to free. Then they found them, damage almost high enough for self destruction without hurting the host.

The Geddos copies ran after the armor and shot around the corner. "Keep blasting." The 2 were grinning like maniacs while hunting after the armor.

With every metre closer to the target, the armor slowed and dodged less and less shots. It wanted to accumulate enough damage and get the Geddos copies close enough to self-destruct in order to kill the 2 pursuers and free the target.

The armor slowed to a walk and fell.

"Got it!" One of the Geddos copies screamed as he approached the armor and highfived his friend. He put his feet on top of the head and dropped his weapon. "Help me take the armor off."

The 2 of them started to try and rip off the armor so they could reverse engineer it and get a reward for finding a weakness in the stasis project. The helmet started to make noises but did not budge.

"I think we should run." One said.

"No. It is just calling for help that will never—" Suddenly the armor exploded. The walls cracked and ripped. Three stasis chambers broke open, two of them empty, the other one held the target.

The technology holding the target in place failed and it woke up. "What the…" She lifted her eyes. In front of her was nothing but ashes and fire. In the middle lay a nude man, "A Lukas?" and 2 Geddos copies were laying down the corridor. They were burnt to a crisp and blown over there.

She ran over to the Lukas and woke him up. "Hey, thanks for saving me, even if that wasn't intentional." She helped him up.

"Are you…" He coughed, ashes in his lunges, "Captain Teddy?" He looked into her eyes.

She was surprised. "A rescue mission… for me?" She was happy that she was this important to her friends.

"I am the… Emperor. Call me Lukas. Someone hired me to free you." He told her and looked down at his body. "Forgot that I would be naked for this…" He muttered.
