Chapter 12 - Wrong Feelings

Finished with a warm and energetic dinner by Rowant. They then continued to discuss Davion's project, which was immediately accepted by the man.

"This project is really great because I like the concept," Rowant said.

He liked how Davion gave a project that he would make a medical robot that would help human work to check for diseases suffered by scanning.

Of course, this made Davion and Claudia feel happy because Rowant accepted their project and wanted to work with the AIHA company.

Of course, this is a rare moment for them. Because not many people could make Rowant moved to cooperate with their company.

Claudia smiled happily and then she left Davion's study to rest for a while, because after cooking she had not had time to rest.

"Good, everything went very well and also smoothly. Everything is according to my plan and with this Davion's company will definitely skyrocket because the project is a big project," she said happily and also amazed.

She also wanted to offer to help Davion write an article for him to introduce this project to everyone.

Given that people are very familiar with Claudia's writing, and like how she wrote an article for some big companies.

After 15 minutes of her sitting on the sofa and looking at her phone, Rowant and Davion finally came out of Davion's study and walked towards the front door.

Claudia followed them, and bid farewell to Rowant who immediately got into his car to leave the Davidson residence.

"See you soon, Mr. Bridget! Be careful on the road!" she said as she waved goodbye.

She also turned to Davion, and said goodbye too because she had to go home.

It was just that Davion forbade her to go home.

"It's late at night, you should stay here and I'll take you home in the morning," he said.

"But it's still 9.40pm, I can still go home now," Claudia said as she checked her phone.

"You still can't! It's dangerous for a woman like you to be out at this late hour. So stay here and I won't take any refusal from you. End of discussion." Davion said all that so firmly and also coldly, as if leaving no room for Claudia to protest to him.

The woman finally nodded, agreeing to stay at the house until tomorrow morning. Davion nodded in satisfaction, then called his servant to prepare the guest room for Claudia to rest.

"Jane, prepare the guest room for Ms. Claudia. If she needs anything, give her what she wants," he ordered.

"Yes Mr. Davion."

Claudia turned to him. "Thank you, Mr. Davion. For letting me stay here and not go home this late. You're very considerate," she said with a smile.

However, Davion said that he was the one who should thank Claudia for helping him with this project.

"I should be the one thanking you. Without you and without the idea of cooking that meal, maybe Mr. Bridget wouldn't have been in a good mood to listen to my project and accept it," he said.

Hearing that, Claudia was happy and she nodded her head.

"I just wanted to help you, because I thought it wouldn't hurt to help in this project. And I'm happy that Mr. Bridget is finally willing to work with AIHA," she said softly.

Davion nodded his head again, then asked Claudia to go to her room and rest.

"Alright, then I'll go to my room. Good night, Mr. Davion."

"Yes, good night."

After Claudia went to guest room, Davion went to his room and opened the small refrigerator containing whisky. He poured half a glass, then sat on the balcony chair.

While enjoying his drink, he recalled his conversation with Rowant when Claudia left his study.

Flashback

"Ms. Claudia is really very talented. She's a freelance writer who has amazing skills in writing, she's also good at cooking and she even looks very beautiful," Rowant said in praise of Claudia's strengths.

Davion couldn't help but agree with Rowant's words about Claudia. Moreover, this project was acceptable because of the woman's idea to invite Rowant to dinner at his house and cook the man's favorite food.

"You're right, she is indeed a very extraordinary girl and so perfect," he replied.

"If I may be so bold, are you two dating?"

Davion was a bit surprised when he heard that. "Pardon?"

Rowant explained that he didn't want to interfere too much with someone's personal affairs, but he felt that Claudia was perfect for Davion.

"She is a very suitable wife for, Mr. Davion. There must be a lot of men fighting over her," he explained.

What Rowant said was true, there must be many men out there who wanted to be with Claudia.

But for Davion, he knew that she was the lover of his own son even though his son didn't even seem to care much about Claudia anymore.

"Perhaps what you say is true, Mr. Bridget. But I'm too old for a young woman like her. In fact, I'm twice her age, so I don't think it's likely that a young woman like Ms. Claudia would want to be with an old man like me if the opportunity arose," he replied with a businesslike laugh not to take the conversation too seriously.

Rowant laughed when he heard that, and he thought that a smart woman like Claudia would definitely bring a lot of luck in life.

Before they finally ended the conversation and left Davion's study as Rowant had to go home.

FlashbackEnd

The words were still spinning in Davion's head, because he admitted that everything Rowant had said he had thought too.

But he knew pp Claudia, a young woman who still had a bright future instead of being with an old man like him.

Claudia deserved to be with someone who was the same age as her or only two to four years above her like Yohan.

Although lately he saw that Yohan and Claudia's relationship seemed to be falling apart, and Claudia seemed to stay away from Yohan.

"I know Yohan has been very busy lately with his newly established company. But is he that busy that he never has time for Claudia?" he asked and drank the whiskey in his hand.

He kept imagining Claudia's smiling face, especially when he hugged her in the kitchen.

The feeling of warmth and comfort when hugging her, made Davion not want to let go at that time. The scent of the woman's body, which was as fragrant as citrus, made Davion really feel like he was bewitched by her.

The middle-aged man closed his eyes and remembered all the things he felt when hugging her.

However, reality slapped him in the face when he opened his eyes because he knew what he was thinking was the wrong thing.

"Stop thinking about her, Davion. She's still your son's lover after all."
