Chapter 138 - This Is Your Ship

Kevin had a ton of questions ready, waiting for Raven's arrival so he could ask her questions. But the sight of the ship before him was so overwhelming that he instantly forgot what he was supposed to do. A single sentence echoed in his mind: This is your ship, this is your ship... For at least half a minute, the words kept replaying in his head. If Raven 12345 hadn't poked him in the face, he would have been scrolling on!

"How is it? Doesn't it look impressive?" Raven 12345 patted Kevin's shoulder with a carefree expression. "I spent a lot of time choosing for you at the starport and finally settled on this model. It's the most popular private business vessel among the Inspectors. I'm not sure how to judge this kind of high-tech stuff, but I heard it's pretty good..."

The massive ship had already landed smoothly on the beach. Its operation was completely silent, and even its landing didn't cause a single commotion, a feat almost unimaginable for such a massive behemoth. The ship's hull reflected a beautiful silver-gray metallic sheen. Its brand-new armor plating was painted in blue and bright yellow, with indeterminate dividing lines. Atop the bow, the Imperial Crystal Cross radiated a faint blue glow. Beneath the larger armor plating, blue energy lines pulsed like blood vessels. While these energy lines appeared exposed, they were actually the ship's most robust components. These crystallized lines provided the ship's shields and served as an extension of its power armor, making them virtually indestructible.

Kevin wasn't very familiar with this specialized knowledge; he couldn't even discern the ship's entrance. Raven's 12345 instructions were tossed aside. This surprise was truly enormous, so immense that it left him a bit dazed. Kevin hurried beneath the ship, the overwhelming pressure of its massive hull making his breath short. In fact, this ship was even smaller than the transport ship No. 883, but humans have a sluggish understanding of size. Kevin felt the difference in size between the two vessels was similar; they were equally impressive.

Most importantly: this ship was his! How could a young Earthling, whose most valuable form of transportation was a shabby motorcycle, maintain his composure?

Kevin patted the ship's armor plating. The cold, hard touch seemed unbelievable to him, so he turned to look at Nangong Wuyue and Y'zaks: "One of you two, give me a punch... I wonder if I'm dreaming."

The Great Demon and the Siren immediately approached, ready to fight. Kevin quickly shrank back: "Never mind, you're going to kill me."

"So, how's it going? Did this goddess do a good job this time?" Raven 12345 had been left out by Kevin for a while, but she didn't seem angry at all. She just smiled and watched from behind. Then she stepped forward, grabbed Kevin's ear, and forced him to turn his head. "Don't be so happy. We still have work to do."

"Great, really great!" Kevin finally calmed down, and noticed that Raven 12345 looked much more beautiful now. "By the way, is this ship really mine? Can I get in now?"

"Yes, and you must. We're going back on it this time, and I want to see how it works." Kevin was stunned when he heard this. "Wait, you can't fly... so how did this ship get here?"

"Oh, the ship's main engine is on automatic navigation," Raven 12345 said, not feeling embarrassed at all. "I asked the delivery guy to adjust the ship's schedule. After that, I had nothing to do. Even finding this beach to land on was the ship's own responsibility."

Kevin really wanted to ask the delivery guy what was going on. So, even gods are so capable on a daily basis?

"How do I get in?" Kevin searched for the entrance on the ship's broad lower armor plating. He found this ship completely different from the transport ship No. 883 he had seen before, with noticeable differences in both design and hull material. He was completely bewildered. Raven 12345 pointed to a patch of armor at the bottom of the ship. "See there? Do you still have the ship key I gave you last time?"

"Yes, I do," Kevin quickly dug into his pocket and carefully retrieved the small, delicate crystal plate from his wallet. Ever since acquiring this rare item, he hadn't seen it before. He never let it leave his body. "I carry it with me every day like a treasure."

"Now, watch this: this key only needs to be used once. After completing the activation process, it will remain in the locking slot on the mainframe. From now on, it will remain with the ship unless you change ships," Raven led Kevin to the ship's entrance. "Use it to open the entrance first. Hold the key to the position indicated by the blue light. I'll get out of the way so the mainframe can verify your identity."

Raven 12345 said, while simultaneously sending the curious Nangong Wuyue and Y'zaks several meters away. Kevin followed his instructions and raised the crystal key. Immediately, a blue beam shone from a gap in the entrance. The beam first scanned the key, then Kevin's entire body. The whole process lasted several seconds before the ship's entrance finally appeared: an armor plate slid aside, revealing a wide door several meters wide. Kevin could see a brightly lit corridor inside.

A soft voice echoed in his mind: "Initial initiator detected. The ship's mainframe is initializing. Visitor mode has been discontinued. C-level and above areas are now open. Please proceed."

"That's all. The ship is now initializing for its first official launch." Raven 12345 stepped forward and patted Kevin on the back. "The mainframe has completed your personal registration and switched from visitor-detection mode to official operation mode. Only then can the ship unlock most of its locks. Next, insert the key into the mainframe, and the weapons system and other miscellaneous items will be online. Grab your key, and we'll go inside."

Kevin was about to ask what the weapons system meant when Raven 12345 pushed him into the ship's interior. Nangong Wuyue and Y'zaks followed in one after another. Once everyone was inside, the ship's hatch closed silently, as if it had never been opened.

Before them lay a wide, bright corridor. Silver-white alloy walls stretched straight out as far as the eye could see, and the flowing light on the walls indicated the direction they should proceed. Kevin walked the ship's corridors as cautiously as a country bumpkin, but after a few steps, he felt a little amused: This was clearly his own ship, why was he being so cautious?

It seemed that this incident had indeed come too suddenly, leaving no trace of reality. "It's so beautiful in here," Nangong Wuyue said, even more naturally than Kevin. She curiously poked around as she walked, eager to examine any glowing object she saw. "It's all sparkling. What a waste of electricity!"

Yzaks was also intrigued. "What a beautiful ship! The ship I took when I arrived was similar to this one. It must be the same model. It seems to belong to another Inquisitor."

"This is one of the Inquisitor's standard personal official ships. It's available in 60% supply. It's widely used because it's so easy to use," the data terminal said, floating beside Kevin's face. "By the way, this machine has found the instructions for this type of ship. Would you like to see them?"

Kevin nodded quickly. "Let me see!"

The data terminal immediately displayed a series of holographic projections. Kevin stopped in his tracks, eagerly reading the description of his new treasure:

The S-X6, a special light patrol vessel for both military and civilian use, comes in two models. The military version, equipped with high-tech probes and cutting-edge weaponry, serves as one of the Empire's basic reconnaissance vessels. The civilian version, equipped with a specialized ecosystem and a specialized energy core, is the standard personal service vessel for Inquisitors. This latter model is the one before us. This vessel measures 565 meters long and 200 meters wide at its widest point, equipped with a variety of complex and highly effective specialized equipment. The civilian prototype was modified by the Imperial General Staff in 9986 New Imperial Calendar and first delivered to Inquisitors. It proved incredibly popular. A few years later, the Pan-Galactic Civilization Community under Imperial rule organized sixteen major military-industrial enterprises to begin mass production of this vessel. To this day, the vessel has undergone numerous refinements, and over the past century, it has quickly become a favorite personal equipment for Inquisitors. As a ship frequently deployed on missions in the mortal world, it utilizes safer secondary psionic energy for propulsion, is capable of inter-world navigation, possesses defensive firepower (not suitable for engagement and cannot fire on surfaces), boasts a self-sustaining ecosystem, and features a space-expanding cargo hold capable of accommodating cargo several times the size of the ship. Its high speed and excellent protection make it ideal for Inquisitors constantly on the move.

This is a brief introduction to this ship.
