Rachel instantly regretted it. She could literally feel his freezing stare, like it came from the coldest part of Antarctica. Her body almost froze on the spot.
She didn't dare look up at his flawless face. Even her butt could tell his expression must be uglier than someone eating dog poop.
But compared to sitting beside him, where she might get eaten alive, facing this freezing cold aura still felt like the safer choice.
The food on the tea table looked amazing.
There was fragrant steamed fish, rich yet not greasy pig's trotters, light and fresh chicken soup, and several small side dishes.
