"Is there something you need?" Skadi looked at the woman standing at the door with some confusion. Long purple hair flowed down to her waist, a beautifully plain face, and a mature body hidden in a tight suit, yet it held a mysterious beauty. Although it wasn't the first time she had seen Scathach, Skadi still couldn't help but feel a little envious. The woman in front of her always looked so heroic and dashing. Every movement she made had an alluring charm.

Scathach's gaze didn't fall on Skadi, but directly on the young man in the room. "May I ask, what are you doing in the room?"

"As you can see, I'm teaching him the correct way to guide magic," Skadi answered calmly, having slightly composed herself. As a goddess, she couldn't lose to another woman who looked so much like her, could she?

At least, she had to maintain her presence.

"That's quite a lot of trouble for you," Scathach shifted her gaze from Asher, looked at Skadi for a few moments, then suddenly smiled and lightly patted Skadi's shoulder.

"I'll leave this child in your care for now." Skadi was startled. She heard a sense of brother taking over for brother, or son inheriting father's business, in Scathach's words. But she didn't have any interest in young boys, and taking care of Asher wouldn't bring her any benefit.

"Do you drink?" Scathach gestured with the red wine and two glasses in her left hand as she spoke. Skadi didn't speak.

"Don't be so reserved. Although we haven't had much interaction, we actually understand each other quite well, don't we?" Scathach said, shaking the bottle of red wine in her hand and offering Skadi a glass. "In dreams," she added. Skadi gazed deeply into Scathach's profound and alluring red eyes. Those eyes were even more intoxicating than the red wine in her hand.

"Gladly, but it's better not to disturb him here. Let's go to the courtyard outside," she took the glass Scathach offered. The moonlight was hazy, enveloped in silver light. Scathach lowered her eyes, swirling the red wine in her hand.

"Since my disciple came to you, I'll ask directly: are you helping him, meaning my disciple, or are you helping someone who has already passed away?"

Skadi smiled. "Isn't the result the same? No matter what, your disciple is the beneficiary. That won't change. I'm only helping him for my own peace of mind."

"Is that all?"

"That's all," Skadi shrugged. "I disdain lying." "Although your disciple doesn't believe me at all." Towards the end, her voice held a hint of indignation, and her previous calmness faded considerably. Hearing Skadi's annoyed voice, Scathach seemed to recall something amusing, and a smile involuntarily curved at the corner of her lips. She had observed Asher's attitude over the past half-month but hadn't interfered much.

Through those dreams, she could be considered the one who understood Skadi best, and she knew this goddess had no ill intentions. But sometimes, it was better to let her disciple make his own judgments. At least, she thought her disciple's performance was quite good. He truly shouldn't easily trust someone, even if that person looked almost identical to her.

"You seem very happy?" Skadi frowned slightly.

"It's hard to survive in this world without suspicion. I've always been worried that that child would be blinded by beauty and unconditionally trust some woman," Scathach raised her wine glass. "But he understands how to be suspicious of you, so I think it's quite good."

"Suspicion?" Skadi also raised her wine glass. The two glasses clinked lightly. Skadi took a sip of red wine and chuckled softly. "That's just because I didn't make my intentions clear. If I wanted him to obediently listen to me, I could have used another method, but I don't want to

do that."

"Another method is...?" Scathach became a little interested and asked curiously.

"For example," Skadi drained the red wine in her glass, "after discussing it with you, I could swap clothes with you, and then just have him listen to 'Shishou'."

"You would impersonate me, and teach him in my name?"

Scathach muttered thoughtfully to herself, then quickly shook her head with a smile.

"What's wrong? Do you think he could still recognize you then?" Skadi asked.

"I don't know, but it's worth a try," Scathach poured herself a glass of red wine. "If he can recognize me, I can return to the Land of Shadows with a bit more peace of mind this time."

"Is something wrong in the Land of Shadows?"

"Just a small matter, but it shouldn't be my sister's doing. It's probably that some subordinates are trying to incite war. Perhaps they've been quiet for too long and are itching for a fight. What a boring bunch," Scathach chuckled casually, pouring Skadi a glass of red wine. "But I'm not really in a position to criticize others."

"Will you be gone for a long time?"

"Hmm, I'm not sure about the exact time," Scathach walked to a pillar, stopping in its shadow, silently watching a few crows perched on tree branches outside the courtyard. "In any case, I'll resolve the issues here as quickly as possible. Don't worry too much about things in the Land of Shadows." Scathach sighed lightly as she said

this. Instead, she was a little worried about her disciple.

"That's not like you at all," Skadi said, shaking her head as if she had noticed something. "Enjoying battle is your nature, isn't it?" "And, isn't your teaching philosophy to let your disciples go out on their own once they've reached a certain level? Worrying about your disciple like this is truly unlike you."

"From the perspective of teaching a disciple, I really shouldn't worry about him," Scathach placed her glass on the stone chair. "But he's not just my disciple." "But you're right. Thank you for the reminder. I almost forgot how to act as a Shishou for his own good. So, without further ado, let's go quickly, while the griffin still needs some time to arrive from the Land of Shadows."

"Do what?" Skadi was slightly startled. Scathach pointed to her own clothes, a playful smile on her face. "Of course, we're swapping identities, Miss Scathach."

Asher opened his eyes in the darkness. Golden specks of light were visible in his dark eyes, standing out even in the dimness. Skadi was right. He had been wrong from the beginning.

It wasn't about absorbing the magic of the World Tree, but about using the World Tree's magic to guide the magic that was already within him. The speed of absorption was indeed much faster than before. If it initially took half a year for one staff, now less than a week would be enough.

If he could fully guide all the magic out, he should be able to catch up to Shishou's level, right? Asher gently clenched his fists, looking around. Speaking of which, where did that goddess go?

He just now realized that the goddess seemed to no longer be in the room. No wonder it was so quiet. If Skadi were nearby, she would probably be continuing to tell him that his magic guidance was still a bit problematic, or that his speed was too slow, and so on.

Knock, knock, knock. At that moment, a knock suddenly

sounded.

"Who would come looking for this goddess so late at night?" Asher muttered to himself, but still said loudly,

"Come in."

A woman in a tight suit walked into the room, her eyes calmly observing Asher for a few moments, then she asked faintly, "What are you looking at?" Asher was slightly startled, looking up and down at Scathach several times. Why does Shishou feel a bit off?
