----------------------------------------------------------

Frankly, Asher originally had no intention of angering Skadi. He just wanted to tease her, and he thought she was also just teasing him.

Though halfway through, he felt that something wasn't right.

Although Skadi and Scathach looked alike, their

temperaments were completely different. Their demeanor, tone of voice, and even their behavior were entirely distinct.

Ever since he kissed the wrong person that night, Asher had been repeatedly thinking about how to distinguish between the two, and he finally came to a conclusion: he could tell the difference just by their tone of voice.

Actually, there was another more obvious characteristic, which was the crown on Skadi's head.

However, a goddess queen would clearly not be so foolish as to wear a crown while trying to deceive someone, so the best way to distinguish them was through their demeanor and tone of voice.

Skadi apparently never realized that Asher had already recognized her identity from beginning to end, otherwise, she wouldn't have done everything Asher told her to.

Recalling what Asher had just said to her, and how he even made her drink the nearly full bottle of wine, Skadi felt a surge of anger burning from the bottom of her heart.

Then she remembered that she had actually been influenced by Asher's words and truly wanted to kiss him.

The most, most, most crucial thing was that Asher even rejected her!

Just thinking about it brought a genuine sense of shame, and so, Skadi's anger intensified even further.

This guy was clearly just toying with her, pushing her away when she had finally made up her mind to kiss him, and his reason was, "I actually recognized you a long time ago; I was just teasing you."

If it weren't for Asher's identity, he would already be an

ice sculpture.

Frost enveloped the entire room, and visibly cold air wafted in mid-air. Just one look sent a bone-chilling cold through one's body.

"Miss Skadi, if there's nothing else, I'll head back now.

Thank you for your guidance today," Asher swallowed, standing up.

The frost condensed on the bed frame made his butt feel cold and uncomfortable.

"Is that your last will and testament?" Skadi stared coldly into Asher's eyes.

"Sorry, I guess the joke went too far," Asher said.

If he had known she would lash out at the drop of a hat, he wouldn't have teased her like this.

"You call what just happened a joke?"

"I just made you drink a little wine..."

"The point isn't the wine!" Skadi unsuitably let out a hiccup from anger.

"It's not about the drinking, then it's that little joke I made at the end?"

Skadi didn't say anything, but her eyes clearly burned with fire, as if to burn away the shyness within them.

It seemed Skadi's anger was because of the last thing he said, and her own subsequent action of trying to kiss him?

"I can't do anything with you," Asher sighed. "How about I kiss you once, and then you push me away?"

"That way, we'll be even."

Skadi silently watched the helplessly looking boy standing in front of her, momentarily unsure how to respond.

She was angry because when she intended to kiss Asher, he pushed her away.

Now, if Asher kissed her and she pushed him away, she wouldn't be angry anymore...?

Although it seemed to balance out that way, for some reason, the more she thought about it, the more annoyed she felt!

"Are you deliberately playing with me?" Skadi scrutinized Asher from head to toe.

"I'm not playing with you. If you think this isn't okay, then forget it. I'm going back to sleep!" Asher walked to the door in a huff, only to find that even the door had frozen solid with frost.

"Pretending to be angry while leaving the room... Do you think I wouldn't see through that? Or are you taking me for a fool?"

"Ugh... what exactly do you want?" Seeing no possibility of escape, Asher could only turn back and look at the woman sitting on the bed with crossed legs. "After all, if you hadn't pretended to be my Shishou first, I wouldn't have thought of teasing you."

Skadi's expression froze slightly.

Thinking carefully, it seemed that was indeed the case.

"So, it's your problem, actually. I'm just making a small counter-attack against your actions!" Asher pressed his advantage.

"And why did you listen to me? Have you ever heard of someone punishing another with a kiss?!" Asher asked again.

Although Scathach indeed used such methods... Asher would certainly not tell Skadi about this.

Skadi's expression changed several times throughout Asher's words.

Thinking carefully, it really was like that.

Why did I kiss him just because he told me to? Do I really have no mind of my own?!

Or am I also attracted to Asher...

No, no! Thinking too far ahead. This must be a delusion of empathy because of dreaming about Scathach . This is Scathach 's experience, not mine!

Don't be deceived by this little rascal's appearance. This seemingly harmless guy has a cunning heart!

After a brief struggle, Skadi suddenly raised her eyes, filled with anger, interrupting the boy who was still planning to criticize her, "Have you said enough?"

"No! I'm not finished yet."

A layer of frost enveloped Asher's feet on the floor.

"...Mhm, I'm done!" Asher said.

He felt that if he kept talking, his life as a fish might be forfeit.

"Then you can continue training. I still have some things to deal with," Skadi said, standing up and walking to the doorway. The frost that had covered everything quietly dissipated, but her cheeks gradually took on a blush.

Failed, failed, failed, failed, failed, failed...

Such a failure! She didn't expect Asher to have noticed her as soon as she entered the room, and to have been played by this guy.

If Scathach found out, even if she didn't say anything to her face, she would definitely laugh at her, this foolish goddess, behind her back, wouldn't she?

"Shishou, take care."

Hearing the word "Shishou," Skadi's steps paused slightly.

She slowly turned her head to look at Asher: "Are you still trying to tease me?!"

"You taught me quite a few things tonight anyway, so it's quite normal for me to call you Shishou, right?" Asher said.

Skadi merely snorted, but her anger seemed to have significantly subsided.

"Is Ash here?"

Artoria walked to the doorway, observing Skadi with a curious gaze for a moment, "You're Miss Skadi, aren't you?"

Despite looking dressed like Scathach , Artoria

immediately recognized Skadi's identity.

Skadi nodded noncommittally.

Even Artoria recognized her identity... It seemed this disguise was indeed quite a failure.

Perhaps next time, she should just directly transform into Scathach , instead of just wearing her clothes. That way, it might be a more convincing disguise?

Artoria glanced around the room, asking in surprise,

"How did the room become like this?"

Skadi came back to her senses, thought for a moment, and pointed to the boy in the room, "He wanted to kiss me, but I stopped him, so it ended up like this."

"Eh?" Artoria froze, then looked up at Asher.

"Be careful, King Arthur. He's a pervert who demands others kiss him," Skadi patted Artoria's shoulder and walked out of the room.

Asher: "..."

This goddess, one day he'll make her cry! She even had to badmouth him.

But Lily wouldn't even believe such a joking remark, so it didn't really matter.

As Asher thought this, he looked up and saw Artoria looking down, her pupils completely devoid of highlights under the shadow.

...She didn't actually believe it, did she?
