Chapter 69 - Chapter 69: Confronting the Possessed Guren

"What woman? Do you want to take out your anger on your pathetic boyfriend?"

As Mahiru Hiiragi took control of Guren's body, her purple eyes stared at Victor with murderous intent, as if she wanted to flay him alive.

Victor just smiled contemptuously and waved a finger at her.

"Come on, let me see what kind of entertainment you can provide."

As soon as he finished speaking, Mahiru lunged forward, sword in hand.

Facing the direct attack, Victor made no attempt to dodge or evade. Instead, he raised his blade to the side in a parrying gesture.

Clang!

The swords crossed and sparks flew instantly!

The Mahiru who had originally attacked head-on turned into a shadow and disappeared, while the real Mahiru materialized next to Victor.

"Illusions don't work on me," Victor said, looking back at them.

"Really? What about spells then?"

Mahiru smiled slightly. The feminine voice coming from Guren's masculine features created a disconcerting dissonance, and her flirtatious expression made Victor feel nauseous.

As soon as she finished speaking, Mahiru pulled several talisman papers out of her sleeves and attached them to Victor's chest, arms, and abdomen with lightning speed.

"Acala Quartet!"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Four massive explosions thundered across the sky and earth, their dazzling flames blinding all onlookers.

After the fires died down, Mahiru rushed out of the smoke with her wounded body.

Seeing this devastating sight, Shinoa Hiiragi, who was watching from a distance, couldn't help but look worried.

Although she knew that Victor's power was terrifying, it would surely be unpleasant to experience such a horrible explosion at close range, right?

Mahiru had similar thoughts.

Compared to Shinoa's concern, she was convinced that Victor had no chance of surviving such a devastating explosion!

But reality delivered a crushing blow to her expectations.

When the dust settled, Victor stood completely unharmed, even his clothes were spotless!

Mahiru's eyes widened in shock.

"How is that possible?"

Nothing happened at all?

Was this guy really human?

"I expected you to be formidable, considering Guren relied on you to fight for him, but this is the result?" Victor contemptuously brushed non-existent dust from his chest.

"In that case, there's no need to waste any more time."

Swoosh!

Victor vanished and immediately appeared in front of Mahiru.

Seeing this, Mahiru drew her sword without hesitation.

In the next second, the blade was firmly grasped by Victor's bare hand through his 100% Barehanded Blade Catch technique.

Before Mahiru could react, Victor's other hand shot forward, grabbed her right wrist holding the sword, and twisted hard.

Snap!

"Ahhh!"

The sound of breaking bones rang out clearly, followed by Guren's anguished scream.

That's right, it was Guren screaming.

The moment his arm was broken by Victor, Guren had already lost his grip on Mahiru-no-Yo.

When the sword separated from his body, Mahiru was immediately forced offline, as if their connection had been severed.

A world had been created where only Guren suffered!

Victor kicked Guren aside and took Mahiru-no-Yo in his hand.

"One last time, will you give me Asuramaru or...?"

Victor suddenly paused, then looked down at the Mahiru-no-Yo in his grasp with a mocking expression.

"You actually tried to enter my mind? You think too much of your own abilities."

In fact, Mahiru had just tried to enter Victor's consciousness and take control of his body.

However, Victor's spiritual consciousness was overwhelmingly powerful.

Not only did Mahiru fail in her invasion attempt, but she was severely injured by the backlash from Victor's spiritual consciousness!

No longer concerned with this woman, Victor continued addressing Guren, "Hand over Asuramaru, or this sword and the people lying on the ground will die.

Guren looked at the Mahiru-no-Yo in Victor's hand, then at his four unconscious teammates scattered on the ground. Finally, he made his decision.

"I'll give it to you!" Guren struggled to his feet, fighting off the pain.

"Asuramaru is in the secret compartment of my dorm closet. The password is 'Hiiragi Shinoa' plus my birthday."

"Understood."

Victor turned and walked over to Shinoa, handing her the Mahiru-no-Yo.

"Come, take me to the man's dormitory."

Shinoa nodded. "Yes!"

As for the Mahiru-no-Yo she now possessed, she decided not to return it to Guren.

After all, now that she had joined the chat group, she might be able to find a way to resurrect her sister in the future.

She could keep Mahiru-no-Yo herself for now, instead of asking Guren to continue holding her.

The two left the harbor, leaving only Guren standing there with a look of indignation and reluctance on his face.

Not long after, they arrived at Guren's dormitory and successfully located the secret compartment behind the wardrobe.

After entering the password, the hidden panel opened.

Inside was Asuramaru.

The pitch black scabbard was covered with sealing talismans.

Victor tore off the talisman papers, and instantly, black energy erupted from the sword, as if it was going to consume all of Tokyo.

"Be honest or I'll turn you into scrap metal!" Victor snorted coldly, and the dark aura immediately dissipated.

Then Victor looked at Shinoa. "Now that this matter is settled, I should return home. What are your plans?"

Shinoa replied, "I plan to stay with Stelle for a while to see if I can successfully draw qi into my body.

Originally, she had not intended to leave so soon.

However, after today's commotion and the fact that she had openly brought Victor, a man of unknown identity, into the restricted Cursed Gear Research Institute, she probably couldn't stay here any longer.

It wouldn't be long before the entire Hiiragi family would start hunting her down.

But that didn't matter. Once she returned to the path of immortal cultivation, she would ensure that the Hiiragi family would have a new leader.

Being the head of the family herself wouldn't be unacceptable.

"Alright, I'll say goodbye first."

Victor waved goodbye and stepped through a portal under Shinoa's watchful gaze.

Shortly after Victor left, Shinoa also traveled to Stelle's world.

"Master, you had three missed calls while you were away. The caller ID shows Asuna Yuuki."

As soon as he got back to his rented apartment, Tinker started reporting.

"That was fast."

Victor took the phone from his bedside table.

Just as he was about to call back, Asuna's number appeared on the screen.

He answered immediately.

"Hello? Mr. Victor, you finally answered."

Asuna's soft, pleasant, yet slightly worried voice came through the loudspeaker.

"Sorry, I went out earlier and forgot to bring my phone."

"I see, that explains it. The paperwork has been completed here, and you can move in anytime."

"Excellent. I'll be over there soon."

"Perfect, I'll wait for you here."

After ending the call, Victor simply grabbed a few essentials and left the rented apartment.
