Chapter 84 - "Total War."

-----

-----

All of New York turned into a warzone. Shockwaves shook the streets, flames and energy danced together in a painting of destruction.

Two golden blurs clashed in the air—it was Kara versus Hyperion.

BOOM!

Heat vision slammed against heat vision, turning the sky a blazing red.

Kara threw a powerful uppercut that launched Hyperion into the clouds. He steadied himself mid-air and countered with a wide sweep of heat vision.

"That's it?" Hyperion mocked.

Kara's eyes blazed with determination. "That was just the warm-up."

Adam and Power Princess were locked in combat—a pure clash of antimatter versus divine power.

Adam channeled deep blue energy into his palms and shoved it forward. "Be annihilated."

Power Princess slashed with her sword, the golden divine energy colliding with Adam's antimatter wave, tearing open rifts in space itself!

"Not bad," she grinned viciously. "But not enough to beat a new god!"

"HULK SMASH!!"

Nite Owl tried to dodge, slashing Hulk's back with his blade—only to leave not even a scratch.

That was a mistake.

Hulk roared, grabbed Nite Owl by the leg, and slammed him into the ground over and over like a ragdoll!

"Let's see how pure your energy really is." Wanda spread her hands wide—scarlet threads unraveled Doctor Spectrum's prism energy like it was nothing.

"No—no way!" Doctor Spectrum watched in horror as his energy bracers shattered.

Tony's nano-suit launched dozens of floating cannons. "Jarvis, full volley!"

Speed Demon zig-zagged through the barrage—until Spidey predicted his move with a web shot. "Gotcha!" (Back at the Spider-Man Diner…)

Luke Cage and Blade double-teamed Hawkwoman—sparks flew as wings clashed with fists and steel.

Moon Knight, bleeding badly, wrapped himself around Doctor Arkham. "The moon says… it's your time."

The battle had hit its boiling point.

The whole city trembled under the weight of this superhuman war.

Energy storms tore open the sky, and the ground cracked from million-ton impacts.

Concrete vaporized under extreme heat. Steel twisted like wire. The sky split into black rifts from the surging energy.

This wasn't a fight. This was natural disasters in human form tearing each other apart.

Kara and Hyperion had taken their duel into the stratosphere.

Two golden streaks clashed again and again at unbelievable speed. The shockwaves blasted the clouds into a vacuum miles wide.

Kara crossed her arms and blocked Hyperion's heat vision, flying backward for hundreds of meters before twisting in mid-air and nailing him in the jaw with a spinning kick.

"Is this really the best your universe's Superman can do?" she growled, grabbing his cape and swinging him like a hammer—straight into the Statue of Liberty.

BOOM!

The massive copper statue snapped in half at the waist as Hyperion's body crashed into it.

He rose from the rubble, blood foaming at his lips, his pupils suddenly shrinking."You asked for this."

Cosmic energy boiled over inside him, overloading his body. Cracks lit up across his skin like molten lava.

Adam's battle with the Power Princess had already surpassed the laws of physics.

Every one of Adam's strikes radiated a blue light capable of erasing matter, but the Princess of Power kept deflecting the energy with impossibly precise sword angles.

But after slicing through wave after wave of anti-matter blasts, cracks finally began to appear on her blade.

"Not bad," she said, licking the divine blood trickling from her hand."This energy of yours... can it kill gods?"

Adam didn't answer. Instead, he suddenly detonated the anti-matter particles he'd secretly planted near her.

Elsewhere on the battlefield, the green monster only got more and more savage.

Hulk grabbed Night Owl by both legs and started smashing him like a rag doll in a whirlwind spin, slamming him into the ground hard enough to leave a crater.

"Weak! Tiny! Bug!" he roared, slamming with each word. The final blow drove Night Owl deep into the earth.

Wanda dragged Spectrum into some kind of dimension.

There were no physical laws here—only ever-shifting, maddening geometric shapes.

Spectrum's prism energy fragmented into countless screaming faces. Wanda stepped forward through the void, and with every step, the space around her rippled blood-red.

"Welcome to my domain," she said, crushing a floating eyeball in her hand.

"Now... let's talk about how I'm going to dismantle your soul."

"Anti-Superman Armor, Version 77."

Tony's nano-suit suddenly restructured itself as Speed Demon zoomed in at supersonic speed. The arm plating shot out a vibranium spike that pierced straight through the guy's kidney.

"JARVIS, analyze his physical weak points."

Inside the helmet, a marker quickly highlighted an old injury on Speed Demon's Achilles tendon. Tony kneed him there without hesitation, dropping him to the ground with a howl of pain.

Finally…

When Hyperion burst through Kara's blockade and soared into the sky, dragging his half-broken body behind him, the sight above only made him more furious.

Jiro, The Steel Man floated calmly above New York, holding the unconscious Hawkgirl in his left hand and Dr. Arkham's skull in his right.

All the raging energy across the battlefield died down the moment it came within ten meters of him, as if something higher—something more terrifying—was commanding silence.

"You finally showed up," Jiro said, crushing the skull to ash that scattered like black dust between his fingers.

Hyperion charged, his whole body blazing with golden solar flares. This hit could've leveled all of New York.

Jiro finally moved.

He caught Hyperion's full-powered punch with one hand. The shockwave blasted the clouds apart.

"You know something?" Jiro's golden eyes gleamed.

"I've killed a lot of so-called gods."

His fist lit up.

"You're not gonna be an exception."

Jiro formed a knife-edge with his right hand and stabbed straight into Hyperion's chest."Know why you lost?"

Squelch!

His glowing hand burst out of Hyperion's back—clutching a still-beating heart.

"You're a race that was created." Jiro crushed the heart, watching Hyperion collapse onto the clouds.

"How could you ever compare to a true god?"

The smoke of battle still lingered over New York. The ruins in the center were all that remained—alongside the unconscious members of the Supreme High Team.

Power Princess knelt on the ground, restrained by anti-matter cuffs. Her golden armor shattered, but her eyes still burned with defiance.

Jiro used his super vision to scan through her body, analyzing the divine energy structure inside her.

It was a kind of power from another realm—similar to the Olympian gods, but with an added divine amplification.

"Impressive energy system," Jiro muttered.

"But not strong enough... Still, worth studying."

S.H.I.E.L.D. agents arrived quickly, loading the unconscious or dead members of the Supreme High Team into reinforced transport vehicles.

Tony stood to the side. His helmet retracted, revealing a face full of complex emotions as he watched the whole scene.

Jiro didn't say a word. He turned and flew off into the distance.

At a temporary command center, the government's observation team had gathered: military brass, cabinet members, intelligence officials—all staring pale-faced in the direction of the battlefield.

Jiro hovered above them, looking down from the sky.

"If I want you alive… you live."

His voice wasn't loud, but it rang in every ear.

"If you piss me off—no one gets to live."

And then, he raised his hand and slashed the air.

A golden portal opened beside him—its other end led straight into the White House situation room.

The President and his staff, mid-emergency meeting, all jerked their heads up in shock.

Before they could react, an invisible force yanked the President right through the portal. In the blink of an eye, he was in Jiro's grasp.

"Ugh!" The President dangled in midair, Jiro's hand wrapped tightly around his throat. His face flushed red.

"You thought you could control me?" Jiro's voice was ice.

The President choked out a few broken words."I… I was just… following—"

Jiro didn't let him finish.

Crack.

One quiet snap—and the President's neck broke.

The body dropped like a rag doll, slamming onto the pavement right in front of the government team.

Silence.

A general's hand hovered over his holster, but no one dared draw their weapon.

Cabinet members had gone pale. Some collapsed to the ground.

Jiro swept his gaze across them, then finally spoke.

"Get a new president."

"This isn't a request. It's a notice."

With that, he turned and flew into the sky. Wanda and Kara followed close behind.

S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Quinjet slowly took off. Tony Stark looked down at the President's lifeless body.

Then up at Jiro disappearing into the sky.

And let out a long, heavy sigh.

"...Yeah. The world's really changing now."

"....."
