Chapter 85 - "Chaos Magic + Godlike Body?"

-----

-----

The Steel Man lay silently in the ruins, one arm sunken into the shattered asphalt.

The street was eerily quiet, with only the faint sound of fire truck sirens in the distance.

A few hours later, emergency global news broadcasts lit up every screen.

The Vice President, pale and shaken, publicly announced he was assuming office—and immediately repealed the Superhuman Regulation Act.

At S.H.I.E.L.D.'s command center, Tony Stark stood before a set of holographic screens, each displaying urgent communications from various U.S. state governments.

"Log it," he muttered, rubbing his temples.

"Starting today, S.H.I.E.L.D. will take over jurisdiction of all superhuman affairs within the U.S. No one has the right to pass legislation on this without our say."

"Tony, are we really doing this?" Bruce Banner suddenly spoke up behind him, sounding uncertain. "This pretty much makes S.H.I.E.L.D. the biggest superhuman authority in the country."

Tony's gaze stayed locked on the surveillance feed, showing Jiro and the others landing at the Long Island villa. "We should've figured it out a long time ago. When gods walk the earth, mortals only have two choices."

"Submit… or be destroyed."

The Next Morning – Long Island Villa

Morning light poured into the living room through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Jiro sat at the table, calmly finishing the last bite of his fried eggs.

Wanda came out of the kitchen holding a plate of freshly toasted bread. Kara lounged on the couch, her superbrain running through last night's battle data.

"So, what exactly powers that divine princess?" Kara looked up and asked.

"Her energy signature is nothing like a Kryptonian's."

Jiro wiped his mouth and stood up. "That's exactly what I want to find out."

He headed toward the underground lab. Wanda and Kara exchanged a glance and followed.

Inside the underground lab, a floating hologram projected in the center of the room, displaying a full-body scan of the divine princess.

Her energy pathways, cellular makeup, and divine power flow had all been recorded in perfect detail by Jiro's super vision.

"Her power comes from some kind of divine gene," Jiro said, swiping his finger to zoom in on a strand of DNA.

"It's not solar absorption like Kryptonians—it's a direct link to some high-dimensional energy source."

Wanda leaned in to take a closer look, scarlet energy swirling at her fingertips. "Kinda feels like magic… but more structured?"

"Exactly. Her divine power follows strict rules. It's not as freeform as your magic," Jiro said, pulling up another set of data.

"But if we can crack the stable structure of that energy, maybe we can make a serum that lets regular humans gain similar powers."

Kara raised an eyebrow. "You planning to mass-produce new gods?"

"Nope."

Jiro shook his head. "I just want to see if it can be reverse-engineered. Wanda's body's way too fragile—it's time she got an upgrade."

Time passed.

Jiro stood at the center of the lab, data streams from the divine princess's energy readings flashing across the holograms in front of him.

Wanda walked in, rubbing her eyes and holding a cup of coffee.

"You're still at it?" she asked.

"Check this out, Wanda," Jiro said without looking up, fingers dancing through the air as the data rapidly reorganized.

"Superbrain, super vision, plus a little help from magic… researching this energy structure won't take much longer."

Kara floated in, munching on a bag of chips. "So? Did you crack it?"

"Pretty much," Jiro turned around, revealing a test tube in his palm, glowing faintly with golden light.

"The serum's done. But to stabilize it, we need both divine energy and chaos magic."

Wanda raised an eyebrow. "You mean my chaos magic?"

"Yeah," Jiro nodded.

"The divine princess draws her power from high-dimensional laws. But your chaos magic—because it can warp reality itself—is also a high-dimensional energy source. Only by fusing the two can we make the serum actually work."

"The key thing is, chaos magic in your body just exists as an energy source—it doesn't directly make your body stronger. What we're aiming for now is to change that."

Jiro raised his hand. Glowing magical runes formed in midair, assembling into an ancient contract circle.

"This is a magical pact. It'll guide the fusion of divine power and the serum."

He looked at Wanda. "Wanna give it a shot?"

Wanda smiled softly, scarlet energy pulsing at her fingertips. "Of course."

She poured her Chaos Magic into the contract. Instantly, the rune glowed a deep, blood-red.

Jiro floated the serum into the center of the magic circle. Golden divine power and crimson magic intertwined.

The liquid inside the test tube began to bubble, eventually settling into a radiant golden-red hue.

"It worked."

Jiro grabbed the tube. "Now it won't just grant you divine power—it'll resonate with your Chaos Magic too."

Wanda took the serum and injected it into her arm without hesitation.

In an instant, golden-red energy exploded through her like a storm. Her pupils lit up with divine brilliance as her muscles, bones, and cells all evolved at a crazy speed.

Scarlet magic and divine power fused, forming glowing runes that shimmered across her skin.

Kara laughed. "Whoa, those effects are way cooler than anything Kryptonians get."

Jiro smiled. "How do you feel?"

Wanda clenched her fist—air cracked from the pressure.

"Like I could punch a building into rubble."

"Your power's stable," Jiro said, scanning her vitals. "But that serum has way more potential than just this."

Kara floated nearby, arms crossed. "You mean she can get even stronger?"

"Not just stronger—more complete," Jiron replied, pulling up a holographic projection. Combat data for the Princess of Power lit up in the air.

"Her powers aren't just brute strength. She's got super speed, near-invincible defense, flight, the ability to survive in space and extreme conditions, tanking nukes—and a super long lifespan."

Wanda raised an eyebrow. "Wait, you're saying I could get all that too?"

"In theory, yes," Jiro nodded. "Your Chaos Magic's already fused with divine power. With a little guidance, you can unlock the whole package."

"Wanna test it out?" Kara suggested.

The three of them headed into the wilderness.

Wanda hovered midair and punched the ground.

BOOM!!!

The earth around her caved in. A shockwave blasted outward, smoke and dust shot sky-high—but Wanda used Chaos Magic to contain the impact so it didn't spread too far.

Kara and Jiro stood still, letting the gust of wind wash over them.

"That punch? About 700 kilotons worth of force," Jiro estimated. "And that was just a casual swing. You'll need to practice control—no friendly fire."

"Also, looks like your Chaos Magic leveled up too."

Wanda raised her hand, crimson energy swirling around her fingers.

Reality bent at her touch. A whole hill vanished into thin air—then instantly reappeared.

"This is incredible." She grinned.

"Try speed next," Jiro said, smiling.

Wanda stood in an open field, took a deep breath, syncing the divine power and Chaos Magic in her body.

"Ready?" Jiro asked.

She smirked. "Let's find out."

BOOM!!!

She vanished, leaving only a golden-red afterimage behind.

Turing's holographic sensors blinked rapidly before locking onto an insane number:

0.6 times the speed of light.(And no, this isn't an exaggeration. Check out the Princess of Power in the comics—this version is nerfed.)

Kara's eyes widened. "She's already caught up to me?!"

"And she wasn't even trying!"

Jiro smiled. "Chaos Magic bent space itself—she can hit near-light speed in short bursts."

A second later, Wanda appeared beside him. It felt like she had teleported.

"How'd that feel?" he asked.

"Like time stopped," she chuckled. "The world moves so slow when I run—it's hilarious."
