Chapter 86 - "A New Mission."

Next up: defense testing.

Kara volunteered. "I'll be the sparring partner!"

She flew high into the air, her eyes glowing red. A scorching beam of heat vision shot down like a laser cannon.

Wanda didn't even flinch—she just raised her arm.

Buzz!

A golden-red energy shield sprang to life. The heat vision hit it like water vanishing into sand—not a ripple.

Kara powered up, even switched to cold breath, but the shield didn't budge.

"Okay, that's solid defense." Kara landed, impressed.

Jiro reviewed the data. "It's not just physical shielding. Chaos Magic twists the attack itself. No matter if it's energy or force, a chunk of it just... gets nullified."

Wanda lowered the shield, thoughtful. "So unless someone's got power that surpasses both divine energy and Chaos Magic combined... I'm basically invincible?"

"In theory, yeah," Jiro nodded.

"Last thing—flight." He looked up at the sky.

"Princess of Power flies differently than Kryptonians. She controls gravity directly."

Wanda closed her eyes, feeling the power inside her. Then—

Whoosh!

Her feet lifted off the ground. Behind her, golden-red energy formed a pair of glowing wings.

"Whoa!" Kara's eyes lit up.

"Okay, that's way cooler than my cape."

Wanda smiled and flapped her wings.

BOOM!

She broke the sound barrier instantly, shooting into the sky like a comet—a golden-red streak flashing through the clouds.

Jiro and Kara followed close behind. The three of them stopped at the edge of Earth's atmosphere, the blue planet glowing beneath their feet.

"This feeling..." Wanda stretched out her hand, imagining touching the stars. "It's so much freer than flying with magic."

Back at the lab, Jiro pulled up one final set of data.

"What's most insane is your cell activity." He zoomed in on a DNA strand.

"Your aging rate has nearly dropped to zero. Based on the Princess of Power's traits... you could easily live for thousands of years."

Wanda was quiet for a moment. "Thousands?"

"And you won't age," Jiro added.

"Divine power and Chaos Magic are both sustaining your life."

Kara suddenly turned to Jiro. "Wait, what about us? Kryptonians?"

"In theory... as long as the sun exists, we're immortal," Jiro said with a grin.

"So yeah, we've got all the time in the world."

Wanda smiled at the two of them. "So what are we, the Immortal Trio?"

"No," Jiro said meaningfully. "We're three gods."

Back at the villa, Jiro took Kara into the underground lab.

The spacious lab was dominated by a massive artificial sun chamber, glowing softly in the center.

"This the thing that simulates solar radiation?" Kara walked over and touched the chamber's surface.

"Yup," Jiro said, tapping commands into the control panel. "It can fine-tune the radiation wavelength—boosting your absorption rate to 300%."

Without a word, Kara climbed into the chamber. The door slowly closed behind her.

The moment the artificial sun kicked in, she let out a contented sigh.

Golden energy wrapped around her like liquid, and her cells greedily drank in every drop of pure solar power.

Meanwhile, Jiro turned to the opposite side of the lab, where Turing's holographic projection flickered to life.

"Sir, Kryptonian nanotech database fully loaded," the A.I. said.

"The vibranium molecular structure has successfully fused with the solar absorption module."

Jiro's fingers danced across the holo-keyboard, and a 3D battle suit blueprint materialized in midair.

Black nanomaterials flowed through the projection. Every joint had embedded micro solar converters.

"Main material is a hybrid of vibranium and Kryptonian alloy," Jiro said, adjusting the molecule layout.

"Energy conduction increased by 70%. Defense, significantly boosted."

Turing added, "Custom versions designed for you, Miss Maximoff, and Miss Zor-El."

A red battle suit spun into view—Wanda's. It was covered in ancient magic runes and came with a flowing cape.

"These runes cut Chaos Magic consumption by half while boosting spell power," Jiro said with satisfaction.

Wanda walked in with three cups of coffee.

"Still doing science stuff? What's this one about?" She handed Jiro a cup and glanced curiously at the chamber.

"Even though I've seen it before, it's always so impressive."

By the time Kara stepped out of the chamber, all three suits were ready on the display stand.

Her black-and-gold armor sparkled under the lights. The S logo on her chest had been redesigned into the Zor family crest.

"What's this?" Kara asked, running her fingers across the suit.

"New gear," Jiro grinned. He snapped his fingers—his black armor broke apart into countless nano-units, flowing over his body like water.

The cape unfurled behind him, glowing faintly gold at the edges.

Wanda floated up to her red armor, tapping the glass of the pod. "Can I try it?"

"Of course," Jiro nodded. "The suit will register your biometrics."

Wanda pressed the activation key, and the armor turned into a crimson stream, wrapping around her.

The deep red suit hugged her perfectly, accentuating her figure. Magic runes glowed softly across its surface.

The gauntlets on her wrists had built-in energy storage—Chaos Magic could be stored there.

"This feels..." Wanda raised her hand. Crimson energy flickered at her fingertips.

"I mean, I can already cast spells without it—but this suit? Pretty damn awesome."

It could channel Chaos Magic perfectly, even storing extra magic for later use.

Kara took a deep breath. Her suit responded instantly, nanites forming around her like living metal.

When the cape locked into place, the three of them stood together under the lab lights—black, red, and black-gold.

Night had deepened over Long Island. Beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows of the seaside villa, stars scattered across the ocean's surface. A cool breeze drifted in, bringing with it a refreshing chill.

Inside the cozy living room, Jiro, Wanda, and Kara lounged together on the plush sofa. A few glasses of red wine and the leftovers from dinner still sat on the coffee table.

Wanda curled up next to Jiro, her red hair cascading over her shoulders, gently tracing the rim of her wine glass with her fingertips.

Kara sat on the other side, golden hair glowing softly under the warm light. She held an Earth novel in her hands, occasionally looking up to join their casual banter.

"I finally get why Kryptonians don't need sleep," Wanda said, tilting her head toward Kara as she felt the strength coursing through her body.

Kara snapped her book shut and smiled, "Haha, technically we don't. But a little nap here and there doesn't hurt."

Jiro leaned back against the sofa, tapping his fingers lightly on the armrest, his gaze drifting out to the starry sky—as if lost in thought.

And then—

[Ding!]

A mechanical chime echoed in Jiro's mind.
