Apollonia rode into the air, just out of reach of the croadins below. Priya seemed to be able to read the rider’s intention, swiftly moving in the direction she willed.
In the distance, she noticed the queen’s ears perking up in response to Priya’s movements. She also saw the other monsters reacting to the queen’s movements, as well as the shock on the faces of the knights looking up at her. Meanwhile, the elusive Uriel had vanished into the shadows when she took flight.
In her mind, Apollonia formulated a plan to rescue Kylion and Uriel with the troops stationed below the mountain.
With a swarm of croadins gathering near the cave entrance, evading them or facing them head-on was out of the question, especially considering they needed to bring the injured with them.
But waiting wasn’t an option either.
‘But is there any other way besides avoiding them…?’
Apollonia fiddled with the vial hidden in her robe.
