“You stayed still, even though you could have stopped me from hitting you. Keep acting like that if you don’t want to die. Even if you get through me, there are still barriers outside the door, Syd is behind them, and if you beat him, there’s always the Imperial Order too. Although, I doubt that you can face Syd with that wound on your shoulder.”
The boy closed his eyes and took one step back after opening them. He regretted his actions, but that wasn’t because he was afraid of her threats.
“Your second misconception…” the boy opened his mouth again. However, he looked too sad for someone who was sneering. “…is the fact that you think you can keep me alive.”
He wore a bitter smile as he said something contradicting.
“What do you mean by that?”
“Running away from the Liepherr family is impossible.”
The boy slowly took his eyes off of Apollonia and slowly placed his long slender fingers of his snow-white hand on his neck.
