Perris let out a heavy sigh. Based on appearance alone, Amoretta was extremely captivating. However, as time went on, he found it increasingly exhausting to maintain a façade of kindness around her.
Initially, he hadn’t been pretending; he had been genuinely infatuated with her, and her beauty drove him wild enough to overlook her limp. Furthermore, Amoretta had placed an extraordinary amount of trust and affection in him. Even someone as simple-minded as him recognized that such a woman was a rare find.
However, Perris wasn’t one to stay interested in the same woman for very long. While he enjoyed the company of women, it went against his nature to hide his personality from them. Yet, he now had to be cautious not to resort to violence in front of Amoretta, even if it was warranted. It proved to be quite a hassle.
