Mount Bamel was humongous. While called “Mount” Bamel, it was more like a mountain range with five peaks instead of a single mountain. Most of the mountain range was composed of giant rocks and cliffs.
A narrow path wound its way through the heart of the mountain, but even that was strewn with debris and twisted trees, casting eerie shadows across the landscape. At the mountain’s base flowed a river, once a vital source of life for the people of Trion. But now, after the intrusion of the croadins, the once-thriving riverside lay abandoned.
Some had fallen prey to the ruthless creatures, while others had fled in sheer terror.
Uriel knew that navigating this perilous terrain would have posed a formidable challenge for Kylion and his knights to enter—the croadins were agile climbers, scaling rocks and cliffs that were insurmountable for humans, but the knights were limited in their movements.
