"Help can come in the most unexpected way"
Amanda got to the class and the students who were all chatting animatedly suddenly went quiet as she entered the class. They all watched her in anticipation. They were waiting for her to tell them what happened and who's burnt body was found.
Amanda watched them all and felt amused. These were the people who didn't give a shit about her and now they were waiting for her to talk ?

Her eyes darted around and it landed on David who was already staring at her intensely.
" You're next. The detective wants to see you" And after saying that she went to her seat and sat down ignoring everyone's gazes.
David stood up and left the class then the previous silent class started chatting loudly again as most of them came to Amanda's seat to try and glean any information from her.
After some begging and ass kissing Amanda eventually told them who the burnt body was and the class went into a bigger uproar.
Mike was a really popular guy. But he was popular for the wrong reasons. And being a bully was one of them.
And everyone knew who his biggest victim was. It was Amanda.
And right now one thought was going through all their heads. Why was Amanda the first person to be interrogated? .
The Counselor's Office
David entered the office and after greeting both detectives he sat down and placed his hands on his laps. For some reason his hands were sweaty.
"You must be David Kane right ? The class president of Mrs Christine's class?"
Brian asked with a smile trying to put David at ease because he could see for some reason he was sweating even in the Ac.
"Yes I am" David replied,his voice sounding low.
Brian exchanged glances with Paul then turned back to David.
" I heard you were in school pretty early today " Brian started
"Yes" David replied
" Did you happen to see Mike when you came to school today?" Brian asked again
Mike? What did Mike have to do with what was going on ? He knew who Mike was very much. He was the ringleader of the bullies that always targeted Amanda. He couldn't count how many times he had almost wanted to go over to Mike and punch him in his little dumb face. He hated him to the core.
" No" he replied keeping his cool
" How about Amanda ? When you came was she in the classroom?" Brian asked leaning close.
No she wasn't. She was coming from the refuse site smelling like smoke and she was smiling.
" Yes she was in the classroom " David replied, and suddenly he was surprisingly calm.
"Oh ," Brian said and leaned back on his chair " Did anything seem strange about her.? Did you notice anything weird ?" Brian asked
"No" David replied almost immediately
" How would you know if she was acting strangely? " Brian asked with a raised brow. " Do the both of you have a close relationship?"
I wish.
"No" David replied " As the class president though ,I know a little about everyone's usual behavior " he explained
That was a lie. Amanda was the only special person to me.
"Oh really? What can you say about Mike " Brian asked
"Mike is a bully . He likes attention. He also thinks he's cool but he's not" David replied. He had a lot more he wanted to say.
"You seem to hold a grudge against him" Brian asked.
"Naturally I won't like someone like him" he replied.
Brian was silent for a while.
" Do you know anyone who might have hated him enough to want to kill him?" Brian said looking at David's face searching for any clues.
Kill him ?Was Mike dead ? Was he the burnt body found?
" I don't know. Everyone hated him. His only friends were bullies like him." David replied " why do you ask though? Is he dead ? " he asked mustering the most curious expression he could muster.
" Yes. He was burnt to dead." Brian answered him.
"Oh" David replied and his brain went in overdrive? Did Amanda do it ? Did he bully her then she got angry and burned him? This wasn't the first time he was bullying her though. What might have made her snap ? Or maybe she didn't do it. Amanda was a nice and innocent girl. She couldn't possibly kill someone right ?
" You have the exact same reaction as she did" Brian said with a low laugh.
"Who?" David asked snapping out of his thoughts.
" Amanda, she had the same reaction as you..... she wasn't surprised."
"Oh ok"..."can I go now?" David asked
"Sure. That will be on for now. Please tell another student to come in." Brian said.
David stood up and bowed to him slightly before turning and leaving the office.
"He seems to hate Mike " Paul who have being quiet all this while spoke up
" Yep....." Brian replied.
" Should we consider him a suspect?" Paul said.
" Not yet. Let's talk to the rest."
Brian replied ,looking towards the door with an unreadable expression on his face.
