Outside the portal
"It's been an hour, we should go in. I hope the kid isn't dead by now." The rescue team leader, an S-rank ice realm user said hurrieldy to the rest.
"I'm sure he is. No E-rank hunter can survive a C-rank portal alone, he isn't anyone special so I'm not surprised they all left him behind."
"He is stupid for wanting to stay behind alone."
"Enough you-all, let's go in and finish this up." The captain barked at them, but just as they were about to step into the portal, the saw someone stepping out. They all froze, watching.
"Isn't that him? The one they left behind?"
"He actually survived?"
"That can't be."
As soon as Kaizen stepped out of the portal, it closed behind him.
"He activated the hound stone too."
"But isn't he E-rank? How did he survive long enough to find the hound stone?"
Kaizen looked up to find all their eyes on him, but he just breathed and walked past them without saying anything.
