Synopsis
After waking up in a world of magic, knighthood, and alchemy, Carlotta finds herself with an unexpected gift: an intelligence system that feeds her daily updates, secrets, rumors, and even hidden dangers unfolding around her. Yesterday’s intel was especially eventful. Mrs. Thea Ashfield, an eccentric alchemist, tossed away an old tool called the Rose Thorn late last night, left forgotten in a trash bin just south of the academy. Meanwhile, a new restaurant at No. 56 Bone Street is quickly becoming the talk of the town, fresh ingredients, great prices, and a steak that people are already calling legendary. Not all food fared as well though: most of the caramel bread in the academy cafeteria turned out to be leftovers from days ago. (Still edible, just… don’t expect miracles.) Teacher Estelle Marlowe pulled an all-nighter preparing the upcoming magic exam. Rumor has it the questions are no joke this time. Then came the serious alerts. One warned of a wanted criminal hiding in the Fame District, with a bounty of thirty thousand Orrae on their head. The other was more personal, Headmistress Viviana Richards’s lost dog was about to be shipped off by dog traders through the port. Thanks to Carlotta’s timely tip-off, the headmistress was able to rescue her beloved pet just in time. ###### Some Tags: Female Protagonist, Card Magic, System, Daily Intelligence, Genius Main Character, Focused Main Character, Academy, Intelligent Main Character

Chapter 1 - Carlotta

Early morning.

When Carlotta woke up, the first thing that caught her eye were the colorful pointed arch buildings outside the window.

She was stunned for a second or two before realizing that she had indeed transmigrated. Half a month had already passed since her transmigration, yet she still hadn't fully adapted to her new life.

Now, she is a first-year student at Caerwyn Academy in the capital city of Kestholm, Wendell Empire. She was sixteen years old and her name was Carlotta White.

"Has it really been half a month already?"

Carlotta got out of bed, stretched, and then went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face.

The dormitories at Caerwyn Academy were all single rooms, complete with bathrooms and washrooms, which were quite a decent setup.

Of course, this was commensurate with the tuition fees.

After drying her face, Carlotta looked at her reflection in the mirror and felt a bit dazed.

Even though she had been looking at this face for half a month, she still couldn't believe that she had turned into such a cute girl.

Her ruby-like big eyes, fair and tender skin, and a particularly sweet smile... If this were on a social media platform in her previous life, she could have gathered quite a few fans in no time.

She raised her hand and gathered her smooth, fiery red hair, tying it into twin tails because she felt that her current face was more suited to this hairstyle.

Then, she returned to the room and went to the wardrobe, opening it to find a dark-themed short-sleeved dress, which she put on at a leisurely pace. This was the uniform of Caerwyn Academy.

As she dressed, Carlotta silently called out.

"System!"

In the next moment, a light blue panel appeared before her eyes.

This was probably the small benefit of Carlotta's transmigration.

This system was a daily intelligence system, visible only to her, and it provided her with some information related to herself every day.

Information unrelated to her will not appear in the intelligence.

Carlotta had already developed the habit of checking the intelligence every day.

The system provides varying amounts of intelligence each day. Based on the past half month, the minimum was three pieces of intelligence, and the maximum was ten.

Most of the time, the intelligence provided by the system was of little use, but occasionally, there would be some highly valuable information.

Carlotta looked at today's intelligence, which implies of five pieces.

[ 1: Mrs. Thea Ashfield was organizing her alchemy tools late last night and threw away an alchemy tool she no longer needed, the Rose Thorn, in the trash bin south of the academy building.]

[2: Due to a feud from the previous generation, two noble ladies, Soren Carlisle and Amelia Fenwick, had a duel in the academy's dueling arena, which was ultimately won by Amelia.]

[3: The newly opened restaurant at No. 56 Bone Street has fresh ingredients and offers great value for money, especially their steak, which is a must-try.]

[ 4: Most of the caramel bread sold in the academy cafeteria today was left over from two or three days ago, but the rest of the meals are still fresh.]

[5: Teacher Estelle Marlowe has prepared the magic exam questions overnight, and the main content of this exam is…]

Before Carlotta could finish reading the intelligence, she dashed out of the dormitory.

Caerwyn Academy was located in the Fors District, one of the ten major districts of the capital city, occupying a large piece of land in a bustling area.

The academy covered a vast area, with buildings that were stylish, elegant, and full of artistic flair.

The morning light bathed the vast academy, and the water from the fountains sparkled as it fell. Since it was still early, only a few students could be seen on the road.

Carlotta arrived at the south building of the teaching building as quickly as possible and began rummaging through the trash bins there.

The academy replaced its trash bins quite often, and there were many of them, so individual bins were not particularly dirty. It didn't take long for Carlotta to find a rapier in one of the bins.

The rapier looked slender, with a rose pattern on the hilt. This was the valuable alchemy tool known as the Rose Thorn!

"Mrs. Ashfield is really generous," Carlotta couldn't help but exclaim.

She knew about this lady. Mrs. Ashfield was an alchemy consultant at Caerwyn Academy, possessing exceptional alchemy skills and having created countless alchemy tools.

For someone of her stature, a Rose Thorn was no longer useful, but for Carlotta, it was quite a valuable item.

With the Rose Thorn in hand, Carlotta happily headed back to her dormitory.

Over the past half month, the system occasionally provided intelligence that could make one rich. It had previously mentioned places where some Orrae were left behind, Orren was the currency of the Wendell Empire.

Carlotta had researched that the purchasing power of one Orren was roughly equivalent to one dollar from her previous life.

In the past half month, two pieces of intelligence had brought Carlotta the greatest gains.

One piece of intelligence informed her that a wanted criminal of the empire was hiding in Fame Block, with a bounty of thirty thousand Orrae!

Carlotta had happened to visit Fame Block at that time, perhaps because she had accidentally encountered the wanted criminal or passed by him, so the system considered it relevant and provided her with this intelligence.

At that time, Carlotta had struggled internally, debating whether to report the criminal, which was inherently risky.

After all, wanted criminals were, by nature, extremely dangerous, and it was uncertain whether they had accomplices.

But her post-transmigration identity was quite awkward, as her family was in ruins, and she had no Orrae to her name, almost to the point of begging on the streets.

So, gritting her teeth, Carlotta went to the public security bureau to report the criminal and successfully received thirty thousand Orrae after the criminal was caught.

The second important piece of intelligence was related to the headmistress of Caerwyn Academy, Viviana Richards.

Her lost pet dog was about to be transported away by dog traders through the port. Carlotta informed Headmistress Viviana of this, allowing her to retrieve her pet.

When Viviana asked Carlotta what she wanted in return, Carlotta unhesitatingly chose to become a transcendent.

Consequently, Viviana brought her into Caerwyn Academy, making her a first-year student at this transcendent

academy.

In this world, there were only three paths to becoming a transcendent.

Magic, Knighthood, and Alchemy!

Carlotta chose the path of magic and had now become a first-tier apprentice.
